Raadspensionaris den Uyl (a social democrat) of the United Netherlands read the statements before him on his desk (statements of the government of Molakia) with growing concern, beckoned his assistant and showed them the documents while quoting Sir Winston Churchill "Today's anti-fascist will be tomorow's fascist" and shook his head in disgust and sat down again and wondered "what it up with all those warlike countries that quickly denounce a country as "fascist" so they have an "excuse" to invade it ?"

Molakia will destroy the facist and leave, save maybe for a coastal base. We do not want this Land, it is the people land.

Molakia has given the United Netherlands a sound reason to be concerned and to distrust it's excuses. Your countries' aggression against Finland, a democracy (!), is still ongoing !

We strongly advise Molakia to take the beam out of their own eye first before complaining about the speck in someone else's.

With a blockade conflict is, indeed, inevitable. If our ships are attacked then war will be declared. That is a constant. It is painfully apparent that these nations are hard headed and do not resort to diplomacy as often as we'd like, so a third party must play the role of arbiter.

Well if you are so mighty compared to them as you say, then why would they even bother to think about attacking your ships? I encourage you to just simply blockade them. According to you, they both have pathetic militaries compared to you.

OOC: I have ICBM Nukes ready to go. Molakian Defense Doctrine allows for Nuclear Retaliation for attacks on the homeland.

I dont suggest it.

OOC: Global Nuclear war. Cool idea bro! Shame I can't find a reason within me to make my character clairvoyant that you left your place undefended. Smacks Zarfef in the head. Particularly epic when you wipe out trade ships and other passing vessels from RA going through the Red Sea.

And how often has the Church dissuaded war? Rarely does soothing wars prevent war. The fact is simple: diplomacy will not work. We will not justify our actions to hypocrites who they, themselves, prepare a defensive force for possible warfare.

Hmm, did we, the Church, use anything BUT diplomacy to convince the Dutch churches to consider joining us? I believe that is an example of diplomacy working out...

And what are we going to do without a defensive force? Watch terrorists and hostile countries blow up our buildings? Let innocent people get slaughtered by brutal regimes? I think not! But are we attacking anyone with guns and weapons? No. Are we trying to prevent war by doing just the opposite? No! So don't go around calling us hypocrites, we know what we're doing.

I see that blind faith serves thee well, oh great Pope. Regardless this situation extends beyond the penance of our two opinions, so let us get back to the matter at hand. We understand your position in this spiel of sorts, and we are pro-diplomacy. But sometimes when diplomacy fails, the peace keeper needs to assert themselves in a more pressing matter.

The United Netherlands now also feels the need to remind Molakia that the 2 Geneeskundige Bataljon (Medical troops- who were part of the SFOR peacekeepers) is still in Krieg with a field hospital although they are getting ready to leave. When you attack Krieg there is a real chance that you'll bring those men in danger.

As long as Molakia is made aware of their exact location, we will watch out for them. If they have weapons, they should Disarm before moving, lest be targeted as hostile combatants.

They will be armed as is standard regulation. But a Dutch and Red Cross flag and a different uniform should make it very clear that they are not hostile forces. As do the blue berets and white jeeps and trucks.

OOC: Krieg was banned for 2 days after spam reports. We have him on MSN. He says the following nations have his permission to Fully RP as his nation until he gets back: The Imperium, Normandy, and the Dutch.

Personal note: I will only pass on information.

A very, very, very late statement from the government of Buryatia is issued:

“The government of Buryatia sees this move as nothing more than another nation attempting to forcibly change the government of a sovereign nation based on the existence of an ideology in that nation that the nation in question harbors a strong resentment toward. We believe that this sets a dangerous precedent and we disagree both with the tone and intentions of the Libyan government. Although the Empire of Krieg is a rather hostile nation with questionable leadership, we believe that the right to determine who leads the Empire, and what their ideology should be should always rest with the people of that nation.

As this is a European matter we will take no action other than to issue this statement. Were we in Europe, we would have sincerely considered taking some form of action.”-FM Onatopp

Secretive & Private, plus all that jazz

The RMF Fleet Alpha Epsilon has already passed through the Straits of Gibraltar and is making its way toward the waters contained near the Libyan mainland. The objective is to prevent any form of naval insurrection between the Krieg Empire and Libya. Submarines have been sent in front of the fleet to reassure any possible movement already initiated by either side. Satellite imaging has yielded nothing, however, but UAV scouting planes have also been sent outward to investigate.

*CLASSIFIED/PRIVATE*

The first few Militant Squads making the Two Militant Cabals being sent have touched down in an undisclosed part of Krieg as per the wishes of its government.

As we speak, the men have started to link up with local national guard and Imperial Legion Units.

So far, all is well

AS OF THIS TIME, THE NoN HAS NOT INSTATED THE RED SANDS ACCORD

The 6th and 8th Infantry Divisions have been fielded along the Libya-Mechodamian border with the support of the 10th and 11th armored columns. RMA Air Divisions 712 and 143 have been positioned in key air bases in the Northern UMS to provide aerial superiority. Artillery units have been placed within 5 kilometers of the border and have already pinpointed suppression targets via assistance of satellites currently in orbit. The 21st Cavalry Division will take the spearhead of any invasion, accompanied by the 2nd Infantry Division. The 1st Infantry Division, headed by Commander Alex Surmoska, will shape up the interior ranks as a means to provide substance fire for any assistance required by secondary forces.

Axillary forces will utilize the 31st and 108th Infantry Divisions, along with the 19th Cavalry Division. The 17th RMA Air Division will be restricted to solid surveillance of enemy movements with high altitude imaging. Surveillance operations have already begun from the RMF Fleet Alpha Epsilon, but operations beginning with the 17th RMAAD have already begun with mapping of the total distance from the border to the Libyan capitol, marking key enemy locations.

All missile silos have been placed on high alert, but pre-launch codes have yet to be designated.

The DEFCON for the United Mechodamian States has been set, and designated, at DEFCON 2.

*Classified Message to the Nation of Nod*

To the military leaders of Nod,

It has been a while now since our war concluded... the damages near irreparable. Alas, it seems we stand on the same side of this impending war between Krieg and Libya. It is with that that the UMS requests your assistance in any operations dealing with the Libyan insurgence. As we speak the RMF Fleet Alpha Epsilon, consisting of more than 25 ships [OOC: 32 ships, but that is a sekrit], is en route to blockade any Libyan expedition. Should they make any attack on the Krieg Empire, we will need your help as we can only sustain one border of combat. This may be the opportunity Lord Prefect Kilik had sought to help repair the bridges between our two nations.

-Sincerely,

Lord Prefect Zemunda St. George

Public:

In the interest of stopping this war before bloodshed is used, the Aether Empire is hereby restricting all trade exiting the Red Sea for Molakia or Libya. We urge the business captains of these nations, to take action and push for peace in the days ahead that will not only keep your factories and workers safe from harm, but also your wallets safe from loss. We encourage the UMS to preside over a similar embargo over traffic leaving through the straights of Gibraltar.

Classified:

A message is sent to the UMS and the NoN.

The Aether Empire requests permission to move our forces to the Libyan border in preparation for a military assault contingent upon their actions with Krieg. We will be utilizing land and air resources for this combat attack should it need occur to deter them from making an assault upon Kreig. We will be launching our assault from the corner of the NoN/UMS protectorate after following the northern regions and roads, with air-craft flying through a similar vector.

All air-craft are armed now and missiles are ready to fire. National military DEFCON is set to 2. Trade ships heading for Libya are stopped at the Red Sea and stripped of Cargo en route for Libya or Molakia. All other vessels are allowed to continue untouched. Analysis of a ships cargo is performed by Aether Intelligence which tried to perform the observations as discreetly and gently as possible. Inspections were short and free meals were provided to the crew as they moved by the Aether Empire in exchange for cooperation..

Though we understand the actions of the Aether Empire to be reasonable, Molakian forces have pulled back and are unlikely to enter this conflict. We do, however, recognize the trade embargo set forth as a means to prevent further imports to enter Libya. Belligerence will not be paid with luxuries. The UMS, however, will not uphold further trade embargo beyond the extent of the naval blockade. It is the priority of the blockade to prevent military movement from happening in the Mediterranean Sea between the Krieg Empire and Libya.

In short, we urge Libya to reconsider their pursuit of war.

To the leaders of the Aether Empire,

We understand your position and are thankful to seem some resolve form from even the smallest of countries. However, we cannot grant you access to the protectorate as it is a joint protectorate region. With that said, however, if the Nation of Nod is to agree with your access, then so shall we.

Sincerely,

Lord Prefect Zemunda St. George
