JEDCJT Posted February 14, 2009 Report Share Posted February 14, 2009 ***Classified*** Immediately following this announcement, thousands and thousands of soldiers were mobilized all over Byzantium as the country was placed on DEFCON 2; millions more were enlisted into the Army. The 1st through 6th Corps were placed on high alert; the National Guard and the Civil Guard were called up, also. Thousands of anti-aircraft guns were prepared and border fortifications were manned with thousands of soldiers, where they would be shielded from air raids and the like. Thousands of tanks rumbled into positions. Nearly 150,000 UFE troops stationed in southern Anatolia and northern Greece were ordered into positions; they would fight, with their Byzantine counterparts, to defend Byzantium from foreign aggression should it happen. The SDI was activated as the satellites moved into positions; missile defense systems were fully online and functional. The country's intelligence grids went fully functional as the Ministry of National Security prepared for cyberwarfare and the like. Both the Navy and Air Force were placed on high alert as the country's 1,360 aircrafts were prepared and readied in airbases all over the country and the 59 ships of the Navy began patrolling Byzantine waters, particularly the mouth of the Aegean Sea and the Black Sea. They would be ready at a moment's notice. As a safety precaution, all three branches of the Armed Forces were informed that should all communications with the Military High Command in Constantinople cease or get disrupted for any reason, they would proceed with their respective plans, nevertheless. F-65 Vanguard and F-50-B Screaming Banshees were ordered to enforce air superiority over the Byzantine Empire. Additionally the joint Wighton/ UFE fleet in Sicilian Waters was placed on maximum alert. Edit: Lol last edit. The forces in Dutch Republic were ordered to deploy to their fortified positions to defend the Dutch from counter attack as well.
