USMC123
I just jumped to 20k infra to buy the foreign naval base. Having never been this big before, I never had to deal with a crime index/crime prevention issue where I couldn't compensate by editing the "My Government Position" options. Is there another way that I am missing to improve crime prevention? Am I stuck with a Crime Index of 2 until my infra is either sold or shed in a glorious nuclear hellfire?
Mogar
Unless you get some ridiculous land levels along side it.
hartfw
Unless you get some ridiculous land levels along side it. Unfortunately your advice, while fitting a political agenda, is inaccurate. Crime Prevention index decreases with land (until a limit is reached), and is effectively a land penalty. The idea that land would help a large nation improve their crime score has no basis. To the OP, if you are looking at infrastructure upkeep, you should still be able to improve your Crime Prevention Score when paying bills. In terms of collecting taxes, apart from a favorable event (or a very self defeating choice) your current setup wouldn't allow collecting in CPS 0. If you want to be able to get to CPS 1 without pulling on a terrible lever, you could actually go the opposite direction suggested in the OP, and add infrastructure. (Also I would look at your gov setup). At under 23k infra (depending gov) a CPS of 1 is attainable without touching the last government policy question for instance. However, the efficiency of that depends on a lot of things.

Blade 619
Honestly totally unsure how to get a CPI 1 right now. I have all of my government positions set to max out CPS and I'm still at 2. Swap to Totalitarian. Also, once you go over about 40k infra you'll always have a CP score of 0, because you know... logic. Your high land count generates population which hinders your score. Drop your tax rate to 10% when not collecting If you do this and max out your government position you'll have a score of: 588.666 Enjoy. USMC123
Thanks. That is incredibly useful knowledge. A suggestion to admin might be to add info that government types and tax levels effect crime levels to the help section.

I'm not entirely sure of his maths TBH, and the formula is a little weird IMO.
