As ordered by the Sphere of the Defense of the Empire (Imperial Ministry of the Navy), the 1st Carrier Strike Group will begin a tactical deployment to the Central Indian Ocean. An amphibious assault force will be attached to the fleet as well.

OOC: 3/7 Maldives

Hundreds of citizens took to the streets in protest against the Persian invasion. However, despite the protest, Persian troops continued their expansion throughout the small island nation. As the expansion continued, dozens of Persian aircraft began to land in around the clock operations, unloading tanks and other equipment. Operations would continue into the night.

"There's nothing here.."

 

"Yeah, but we've been ordered to secure it...for whatever reason."

 

Through the jungles, the Persian troops continued to advance. So far, ten percent of the Island has been claimed. However, there was still much work to do. As the day progressed, additional reinforcements began to arrive from sea. With the added manpower, it was hoped that the advance could speed up to an adequate pace.

In a shocking announcement, the Imperial Ministry of Justice announced the banning of Sharia Law. "The Empire of Persia is a nation, represented by one law. The use of Sharia Law is harmful to the well-being of this great Empire, and it will no longer be tolerated.", stated Imperial Councilor Jahan. "As of this very moment, The Imperial Ministry of Justice has initiated a campaign to wipe out this uncivilized practice. We must let go of the past and move towards the future."

OOC: 4/7 Maldives

 

"We have reports of a car bomb and small arms fire.."

 

In Male, organized resistance groups began to act out towards the Persian troops. "We are weapons free.." Persian forces ran from cover, as fire rained down upon them. Using their superior skills and tactics, the Imperial Forces began to push back, although there were reports of small casualties. In other parts of the Island, there were also reports of armed resistance groups springing. What was once considered a peaceful annexation had turned into a bloodbath..

The Imperial Marines continued their landings around the Islands, with no real opposition in sight. At other sights inland, Persian forces began to set up various bases of operations. In addition, engineers began to map out various territories which could be used for naval and other bases of significance for the Persian Armed Forces.

We've had no word from his government for a very long time and he is not responding to inquires. I think we need to begin preparations for the worst possible scenario. [The Imperial Cult]

 

Administered by the Ecclesiarchy, the Imperial Cult is the official state religion of the Empire. Declared the official state religion after the passing of the Dangerous Cults Act which banned all religions in the Empire, The Imperial Cult is a religion based on the worship of the Emperor of Persia as Master, Defender and Father of the Persian People. The Imperial Cult is the Empire's state religion, and in many ways the religion is the state itself; it binds humanity together in the service of the Emperor and the Empire.

 

The Imperial Religion is highly flexible and is tailored by Missionaries to fit the native culture, religion, and practices of whatever region it exists in. As such, practices adhered in one territory may be held as abhorrent on another. However, the Ecclesiarchy does enforce basic key tenets.

   

• The Emperor walks among men, but He is, and always has been, a god.
• The Emperor is the one true god, regardless of what past faiths any human may have worshipped.
• Every human being has a place within the Emperor's divine order.
• To unquestionably obey the authority of the Imperial government and one's superiors.

OOC: the Maldives 5/7

 

Sporadic fighting would continue throughout the Maldives. Persian forces, in some cases, would participate in house to house fighting in a mission to obliterate the rebels. F-15SE's were called in to conduct around air to ground support operations. With the ground war heating up, a generalized curfew was announced for the island nation. In a move to preserve and safeguard his people, the President of the Maldives requested a meeting with Persian leadership, to discuss a peaceful solution.

OOC: 5/7 Coco Islands

 

The Island was now eighty percent occupied, with Persian forces working with the natives for localized duties. Thousands of engineers began to arrive on the Island to begin the pre-planned construction projects.

This was life that ten year old Ahmad lives, since being recruited into Sub-Adult Group (SAGroup) of the Commission for the Preservation of the New Order. It wasn't his decision to join the Sub-Adult Group. It was compulsory to join the Sub-Adult Group at the age of ten and to serve until the age of eighteen years, as was decreed by the Emperor. Penalties were provided for guardians who did not comply including confinement. The Law also gives officials the authority to require participation. Quite a range of possible exemptions to participation were described in detail. These generally refer to poor health and inproper conduct. Children of Persians residing abroad can not be compelled to serve if in the country for brief visits. Girls are allow to withdraw upon marriage. Children having difficulty with their school work can be exempted.

 

Ahmad had been a member for one year, and the normal routine had become normal by the thirtieth day. First. He went through the basic exercises, provided by SAGRecreation. These exercises included the basic sporting exercises, which ended harsh physical training and wargames as an introduction to military training.

 

Next. Ahmad would attend classes provided by SAGEducation. In these classes, Ahmad and other children were indoctrinated by Imperial propaganda. This propaganda kept them from ever doubting the New Order or the Empire, and it also facilitated the belief that Emperor  was a god, who raised his people from the ashes. Ahmad was no longer a child of free thought. He was now a child, who upheld the principals of the New Order. Some would call him and millions of other children robots, but in the Empire, he was considered the future of the nation.

 

Emperor Bahadur, in a somewhat cynical mood, privately expressed his attitude toward them. "This youth learns nothing but to think Persian and to act Persian. When these boys enter our organization at the age of ten, it is often the first time in their lives that they get to breathe and feel fresh air, and we keep them there for four years, and then we definitely don't put them back into the hands of the originators of our old classes and status barriers; rather we take them straight into the Party or into the Labor Front, COMPNOR, or the ISB, and so on. And if they are there for another two years or a year and a half and still haven't become complete Imperials, then they go into the Labor Service and are polished for another six or seven months, all with a symbol, the spade. And any class consciousness or pride of status that may be left here and there is taken over by the Imperial Armed Forces for further treatment for two years, and when they come back after two, three, or four years, we take them straight into the New Order Party, ISB, and so on again, so that they shall in no case suffer a relapse, and they will never be free again as long as they live."

Druk Yul announces that it has withdrawn from Western India in order to allow Persians to assist with the logistics of managing the fallen government in the subcontinent. It declares its intent to support Persia in its actions and will grant it any logistical assistance necessary in making the transition.

OOC: the Maldives 6/7

 

Before hostilities could grow even more out of control, an immediate cease-fire was called. The local Persian commander agreed to meet with various members of the Maldivian government to discuss an alternative to the current conflict. The Persian commander had but one command, "Lay down arms and submit to the Empire." Fearing further retribution, the Maldivian government would go on to discuss the ultimatum.

OOC: CoCo Islands 6/7

 

Thousands of engineers continued to pour onto the island, along with construction supplies and equipment. The first plan was to renovate the existing air-strip to acommadate bombers and other strategic aircraft. Naval facilities and early warning systems were also to be constructed. As equipment continued to flood onto the small islands, Imperial troops continued to expand throughout the tiny Island.

Throughout the nation, a great religious upheavel was taking place. Missionaries of the Emperor continued to spread the word of the Imperial Religion. Thousands of religious symbols and books declared to be "heretic" material were deemed illegal overnight. "Blasphemous! The Emperor is no god!" The few clerics and other religious leaders that took to the streets were arrested by the dozen. Executed and sent to labor camps were where most men were sent, according to rumors. The Ecclesiarchy refused to comment on such rumors; however, most citzens did not know just how true the rumors were. Most citizens accepted the Imperial Religion with open arms. The Emperor had brought them peace, prosperity, and a nation to be proud of. It was just one of the things the people accepted; after all, life was good.

After negotiations with the Maldivian government, it has been decided that the Island nation will become apart of the Persian Empire. As such, all rebels and government supported militias will begin to lay their down their arms. In the end, the Persian flag flew over the Island of the Maldives.

OOC: Coco Islands 7/7

 

"The island has been mapped. Declare it in the name of the Empire." After the week long expedition, the Coco Islands were claimed in the name of the Emperor.

After aquiring the Coco Islands, extensive construction began on various defensive projects. Outside of the island chain, an extensive SOSUS was set up for submarine detection. An ground-based advanced early warning AESA radar, capable of detecting targets out to a range of about 800–900 km (500–560 mi), will be constructed on the Island. In addition, a SIGINT intelligence gathering station, to monitor the movement of other navies and ships throughout the eastern Indian Ocean, especially in the crucial point in shipping routes between the Bay of Bengal and the Strait of Malacca, will be constructed. Additional items include a maritime base, anti-ship missile installations, and a improved runway for aircraft operations.

Memos with the afromentioned message were dispatched throughout the many outer atolls of the Maldives, where some of the smaller populations resided. Citizens, who visited one of the many resettlement offices, were given a housing voucher for one of the many newly built homes in Persia. After the resettlement process was done, various civlilian structures would be demolished. In their place, an ground-based advanced early warning AESA radar; a SIGINT intelligence gathering station; surface to air missile systems; and anti-shipping missile installations would be installed. SOSUS would also be constructed, which would be connected to the overall network.

Hafiz drove down the winding streets of Persepolis, through the tunnels and passed various holographic displays. "This place sure has changed.." He drove through a winding tunnel and eventually a holographic poster, written in Imperial Gothic. "This new government has gone out of it's way to change our religion and now our language. Yet, there is no resistance. I guess everyone is enjoying their new lifestyles too much.." 

 

He drove further down into the heart of Persepolis, eventually reaching a check point. "In the name of the Adeptus Arbites, please show identification." Hafiz nodded and reached into this wallet. "Here you go." The arbitrator scanned the I.D to check it's authenticity. "You are free to go Captain." Hafiz shrugged and continued on with his journey. "A changing place, indeed.."

Deep inside the depths of the Imperial Palace, an important meeting was taking place between the Emperor and his Imperial Councilors.

 

"The first order of business..", the Emperor said as he leaned forward. "Recently, our assistance has been request by the Imperium of Japan. They need our assistance in dealing with the Russian threat...

 

Lord Commander Militant and Imperial Councilor Babak chimed in, "That situation is non of our business. Our current strategic interest need to be centered on India and the Middle East. Of course, by Middle East, I mean the former land of Babylonia."

 

"I agree. Our strategic interest are in danger, as long as those lands remain open. That is why I have summoned you all here today." Bahadur leaned back, "We must not allow the central and southern territories to fall into the hands of foreign or aggressive powers. The Imperium must embark on a grand crusade to unite those lands with Persia."

 

Imperial Councilor and Ecclesiarch of the Adeptus Ministorum chimed in, "You won't be fighting a conventional war but a holy one as well. Those people would die for their "god" Emperor. In addition, our religion would be considered heresy to them. However, the same can be said about their religion, when compared to our own views. For the good of this Empire, we must wipe the slate clean; or, we'll be embroiled in a holy war that could last decades."

 

Bahadur nodded, "This crusade will be a most complicated one. For that reason alone, I will be appointing a Warmaster to lead the overall campaign. The campaign will begin at once."

 

The Councilors nodded and the meeting was adjourned...

As this Imperium embarks on this crusade, it will need a powerful and dedicated leader who will lead it to victory. As such, I am appointing you to the position of Warmaster. You will be my sword and shield, as this Imperium marches into foreign lands.

Ahmed Bahur, former Lord Militant and now Warmaster of the Imperium, folded the letter and placed it into his tunic's pocket. He boarded his personal VTOL and headed towards his HQ which was positioned in Segmentum Middle East on the Iraqi border. After a brief five minute journey, the aircraft landed. "Here we go...", Bahur muttered to himself as the doors opened. Before him, his entire staff stood at attention. "At ease..", the Warmaster muttered, as he walked towards his HQ. After a brief meeting with his command staff, he issued the first decree.
