Tongzhi National Times Release: Committee Elections

 

Huong Nguyen announces today that elections shall take place on June 26, 2014. These elections will not only determine the committee to represent the people, but also the Grand Senate. The needs for the elections is to insure the proper representation is given to the people of Tongzhi. As well as "to get the ball moving" as she put it and begin to form "National Laws for the protection of the people". Currently laws remain in place are only those that are critical to the insuring of proper order such as laws against Theft, Murder, Fraud, etc. Police forces have already began to be established, which have mostly been in place from regional governments already. It has been taken to notice that current regional laws still exist in many places, but Huong vows to respect these regional laws as well as attempt to mandate national laws on what can and can not be done in the nation. 

 

Overall voter turnout is expected to be in the high 60-70 percentiles while Huong has asked all regional governments to encourage their citizens to vote and assist those who cannot vote due to disabilities or other reasons. National Funding has been offered from the current national treasury as well as donations, in which Huong herself has taken money from her own pocket to assist in vote encouragement. She vows to represent the people as they voted her into, and has remarked it as her highest honor.

Hanoi Economic Insider Article: T-Pop on the rise

 

Producer Dong Gi announced today that T-Pop, which is short for Tongzhi Pop and represent Popular Music in Tongzhi, has taken a huge rise in the event of several recent hit songs. "Not only are the views on their videos on the internet sky rocketing in Tongzhi, our videos are watched and commented on throughout the world." he remarked citing places such as South Africa and South American Nations with the most influx of viewers. "It's in regions where they do not have governments that are where we get the most amount of viewers, it's an odd statistic and we're curious to read more into it." he remarked.

 

Several notable names and videos can be found in advertisements and on radio stations across Tongzhi and across the world. While the entertainment industry booms in Tongzhi, it does not come with a cost. The government announced that today the manufacturing industry has seemed to fall a bit with a major manufacturer, Shong Electronics going out of business. This is a devastating loss as the company was in charge of manufacturing many cellular devices and tablet computers for places around primarily for national use. The company had been going down stream starting in 2008, and simply could not make it in the hustling and bustling world. The Company is currently selling a majority of it's resources off to other Tongzhi firms in order to cover expenses owed.

Hanoi International Insider: Tongzhi Troops Entering Siam

 

In an act to preserve peace and prevent foreign colonization of it's neighboring state, Huong Nguyen ordered 5,000 troops to establish base in Bangkok to establish a Tongzhi protectorate over the Region. Huong Nguyen has noted that this protectorate does not come as an act of aggression from Tongzhi but rather as an act to prevent states from settling there that have no business in Siam. The Tongzhi Head of State has also noted her intent to attempt to work with Druk Yal and invite them to establish protectorate as well as they also border the region with Tongzhi.

Druk Yul extends its logistical support to the Tongzhi in this endeavour, but will allow Tongzhi to care for the people of Thailand which it is better equipped to serve.

Hanoi International Press: Tongzhi Under Attack!

 

Developing Story: An unknown amount of Aircraft were found in Tongzhi Airspace. After repeated attempts of contact, the aircraft stayed enroute. The aircraft appeared to be military jets. Upon third confrontation, Tongzhi Aircraft entered the airspace and fired several anti-aircraft missiles towards the aircraft. The origin of the aircraft is currently unknown or their purpose. Eye Witness reports vary to the jets being military aircraft, armed or unarmed, as well as the aircraft possibly being civilian or military transport aircraft. Tongzhi government has dispatched patrol vessels to attempt to find the wreckage.

 

Huong Nguyen was pulled out of a foreign affairs meeting to determine the route Tongzhi is to take on this incident. The Minister of Defense has put troops on alert, and is working with the Head of State to determine the route Tongzhi wishes to take with this incident.

Hanoi International Insider: Head of State Diagnosed with Cancer

 

A short while ago an advisor for the Head of state, Huong Nguyen, made an announcement that she has been diagnosed with an aggressive type of Cancer. It is at this time unknown what type of cancer the Tongzhi leader has, yet a great mourning has began to take place in Tongzhi. People line the streets to show their support for Huong Nguyen as she encounters this battle. It is not yet know what the leader's intents are, but she is expected to make a speech in the coming days regarding the issue.

Boquets and letters of sympathy flood the Tongzhi Embassy addresed to Huong Nguyen from many of the peoples of Druk Yul, including an official state letter from the King.

We are saddened by the news of your illness. We do not know the details of your sickness, but we extend our best wishes on your recovery and if you need any medical resources from our nation for your care, they are at your disposal.

Hanoi International Insider: Head of State passes Away

 

Recently the Insider has ran a story reporting on Huong Nguyen's diagnoses with Cancer. It was unknown at the time the severity of her well-being. Huong Nguyen had fallen into a worse state of suffering a few days ago. While doctors laid by her side this morning attempting to do everything they could, Huong Nguyen lost her battle with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. Her family was given a call at 11 AM this morning alerting them of the news. When calling her daughter, Song, she immediately dropped the phone and began to scream. The nation had a great history and progressive leap forward with Huong's rule and she will go down in History as Tongzhi's first and greatest leader. Flags will be flown at half mass for the week.

Tongzhi National Media Channel: Tongzhi Representative locked in SEATO Headquarters

 

After a disagreement with Japan, Tongzhi Representative to SEATO Ying Shung Tao has texted the Department of Foreign Affairs with the following message "Security stopped from leaving, locked in. Japan and Tongzhi issues are not solved." the message was concerning to Foreign Affairs officials and attempts are being made to contact the SEATO headquarters to figure out what is going on. At the current time Tongzhi officials are flabbergasted and confused on where the issue will go next or what is going on. 

 

This situation is developing and we will be back on the topic at 9 to inform on just what is going on in the SEAT headquarters.

TONGZHI INTERNATIONAL GAZETTE

The Tongzhi People's Assembly votes 4:1 in Favor of Declaring Protectorate Status over Hainan Islands

 

Today after a proposed bil by assembly chairman Xiao Lung, the Tongzhi People's Assembly voted highly in favor over declaring the Hainan Island which sits miles off Tongzhi's shores as a protectorate of the Nation of Tongzhi. Tongzhi recognizes Japan's claims to the Islands as well, however looks forward to working with Japan on such a large land mass miles off the shores of Tongzhi. The government has declared no military presence will enter the island, and expects no other nations to do so as well. Head of State Nguy Thiam quickly signed the bill into Law as he had been anticipating it for awhile now. The bill would not have needed the Head of State's signature yet to show his obligation to the nation, he signed it anyways.

 

The People of Tongzhi had been in favor of the bill for awhile, as well as  looking forward to resuming Tourism and economic ventures to the Islands. Many in Tongzhi have loved ones and family living on the Island that they faced harship of going to see due to international differences in law. Those who voted against the passing of the bill cited that Japan would most likely act harshly in defense as they are afraid Japan will quickly expand there. 

 

As with the bills passing, the government will also soon to be voting on protectorate status of the Paracel Islands which also stand very close to Tongzhi. This comes just a day before the voting on the bills to become a sovereign state and leave a transitional government's' state behind.

As the first step in Tongzhi's steps to a permanent government interface some of the old Tongzhi Government names have been altered to represent the New Tongzhi Movement.

The votes only include those not abstained. As per the passing of the Maritime Flag and renaming of Parliament to the "People's Assembly" has been signed into law. The People's assembly re-branding was proposed by Yingluck Shino in attempt to represent the Viet-Cambo Commune Party. This passing has appeased the communist party and represent an equal share of government going to all side of Tongzhi. The peace insignia has been branded onto the national flag in attempt to show the world how peaceful Tongzhi truly is.
