The Emperor is dead, long live the Queen.

"It is with sadness that the we the Imperium must announce the news of our Emperor's passing. He was found still in his chambers with the television on showing the world news. Doctor's determined that his death was by natural causes most likely linked to his old age. Strangely however, a scrap of paper was found on a desk nearby that only said the following phrase.

"It was if thousands of voices cried out in stupidity and then were silenced". It is unknown what this message means but it seems to have been written at the same time the Un named Republic was defeated. Was this what the message meant no one knows and frankly no one cares.

Replacing the Emperor is his fourty six year old daughter Elizabeth and already she has shaken the old guard of the nation by refusing the title of Empress and instead calling herself Queen instead. She mentioned this was because she felt that the title of Empress sounded too oppressive and so she turned the title down.

Now our great leader is Queen Elizabeth I and with a new leader has come a new name. No longer are we the Imperium which has caused some confusion with the Imperium from America instead we are now the Royal Kingdom of Manticore. The queen would like it to be known that any and all exsiting treaties and agreements from the previous government are still being followed and agreed to.

Construction has begun on three merchant raiders, these vessels appear to be simple cargo vessels but in fact will have two cannons mounted on lift platforms which can be raised and lowered when the vessels decide to attack other ships. Whilst the cannons and armour of the raiders are of too little strength to successfully engage military vessels they will be powerful enough to sink other merchant ships.

So far only the basic hull struts have been built in drydock though work continues at a furious pace.

Construction of the merchant raiders was completed and the vessels were loaded under cover with the shells and supplies neccessary for extended time out at seas. Seeing as how Manticore had no navy these three ships would maintain the Manticore seaways constantly looking out and recording foreign vessels whether they were military or civilian.

Manticore forces in Najambia were now brought back and the entire military force was stood down from immediate alert. This allowed the military high command to run a reorganisation of the military structure and soon a proper force organisation chart was made for the manticore armed forces.

The Royal Army

1st Battlegroup
Two thousand soldiers, three hundred armoured fighting vehicles, one hundred tanks

2nd Battlegroup
Two thousand soldiers, three hundred armoured fighting vehicles, one hundred tanks

3rd Battlegroup
Two thousand soldiers, three hundred armoured fighting vehicles, one hundred tanks

4th Battlegroup
Two thousand soldiers, three hundred armoured fighting vehicles, one hundred tanks

1st Reserve Battlegroup
One thousand soldiers, one hundred tanks

Artillery weapons are of a towed variety and are mixed in small numbers between all battlegroups.
