You claim Flinders never offered to repay his loan and was planning to leave before he received it. Flinders claims that he offered to repay what he thought he owed and had no plans to leave while receiving aid. So it's one word against another here, but Flinders was the one getting sanctioned and put on ZI lists. My problem with GRAN's actions stems from the fact that they tried to extort double money from Flinders as a result of a charter change after Flinders enrolled in the aid program, that they provided absolutely no proof of any aid transactions occurring at all, and the fact they seemed unwilling to listen to Flinders despite his assertion that he was willing to repay them the full $60 million.

While I can respect your desire to learn the finer workings of leading an alliance in CN, I do not think that the end you seek is necessarily the best one to aim for. Instead of looking to win an election so that you can lead on your own later down the line, look to win in order to better yourself and all of FUCN. If you look at your time in FUCN and possibly FUCN gov't as simply a tool for your own use, then you won't really get anything out of it.

An alliance, at least one with a decent econ department, should be keeping track of any and all government sponsored aid transactions, even if only to make sure that everything is proceeding smoothly in a deal and that no one claims they haven't received the money they were due. Screenshots for every transaction aren't necessary, just some record. (OOC: A google spreadsheet works well)
