  1. ill keep that in mind. Yet i have not seen many alternative storys from much ppl yet, is the GPA still alive?

The GPA is still alive, and still rather large at 3,000,000 NS, but is neutral, so they don't have any treaties. This means they probably won't tell you much about their side of the story (since they have no allies, and dont want to be attacked).

GPA is imo a fine development alliance but (in the opinion of many) lacks militarily. You can find them at coldfront IRC (internet relay chat) at #g.p.a.

You can also find me at #IAA, #cnpolitics and other channels, get on and we can chat ;)

  2. Back in the day, the samurai, who history remembers as some of the most brave, honorable men in the world, would die by their own sword rather than that of the enemy. Are all samurai "wussy" too?

I was seriously laughing with that post.

  3. ... and increase the tech cap to like 20 and the cash lootings cap to 5 million I am pretty sure we will see more wars.

    Uh... no. Just no.

Give the underdog more of a fighting chance and you will see more wars.

  4. No argument from me, I just wish that the admin would introduce more upgrades towards deplomacy and trade rather than other ways for people to raid and kill off nations.

I'm pretty dissapointed its all just military hardware, looks like it mainly makes conventional wars more expensive.

  5. That's another thing to watch out for, almost everyone who tells a story is biased. So don't automatically believe the first thing you hear from someone, instead, try to research, ask many people from different places, and make up your own mind. There is ALWAYS at least two viewpoints to a story.

GPA is a neutral alliance, which stopped acting neutral, and so it was attacked by The Continuum for violating it's Deceleration of Neutrality, a document many of those alliances had signed.

This, for example, and with all due respect to Nintenderek, is a biased point of view. There may be alternatives. ;)

Add "accused of violating neutrality" and you have an objective description.

  6. You're probably going to hold that grudge, make a new nation, build up, and become a nuke rouge.

Or have fun IRL, not like you're not supposed to already...

Orrrrrrr... maybe he'll restart, join an alliance, and lead a new and normal existence.

good luck CZ, you seemed cool to me.

  7. As Mussolandia notes, francoism seems to be different ideologies to different people. Although my understanding of Pacifican history is hardly complete nor thorough, there does seem to be certain things in both "versions" that do not mesh. To quote an earlier post:

There seems to be the scientific francoism, championed by Vladimir and the New Pacific Order, which advocates a scientific approach towards governance and this world. As pointed out earlier by the various people in this thread, it is a machiavellian/Hobbes approach to world affairs that seeks the rise of civilization over the "barbarism of man" and various non-rational ideologies. It is a living ideology that seeks to embrace changes and the ways of the world rather than resist them.

On the other hand, we seem to be witnessing a rise in classical (or perhaps neo-classical) francoism. This version is largely based on the "other realm" from which Pacifica originated, and is largely discarded by the New Pacific Order and Vladimir as being antiquated. It is largely based on an article titled Proper Francoist Thought, published by Vladimir himself years ago. This brand of francoism seems to return to the roots of Pacifica and the famed revolution, and it's apparent proponents claim that classes have once again emerged in the New Pacific Order (and possibly amongst some proponents, the New Polar Order) in the form of a government no longer in reality representing the Body Politic.

Although each is rooted in different "realms" as it were (thus allowing for some differences), they would appear to me to fundamentally differ: Scientific Francoism is by design a very practical and machivellian method of looking at the world, while classical francoism is at it's roots a revolutionary, idealistic ideology.

Although the two worlds differ in structure it would seem to me that each version of francoism are not at all really related, because they seem to have different targets and objectives: classical francoism to empower the feederites, scientific francoism to govern effectively.

  8. The Emperor is "right" in the sense that his decisions are final, because there is no higher authority. His decisions are "correct" because there is no one higher in the chain of command than s/he, not because of some intrinsic, godly powers of rightness.

    Ah, I see.

In that case, going back to Pacifican roots, would that have not made "TheDoc" or the dictator of old Pacifica right, due to the fact that there was no higher authority? (Pardon my ignorance, I am not too aware of the old Pacifican userite dictatorship structure)

  9. Congratulations CSN, I've always found it disgraceful that alliances who have fought honourably against multiple alliances larger than themselves are then forced to pay reparations when they themselves have suffered more grievously than their foes.

Such an act shines badly on those who imposed the terms.

It's very lame, however, I would like to nonetheless congratulate CSN for completing these terms.

  10. Apparently that and the big fat sign in my nation bio didn't deter Sydero of Myelemia of Gramlins from raiding me. Not only did he raid me, he had the gall to request peace the moment he finished his initial attack. Enjoy nuclear hell Sydero. I promised that I would use it and use it I shall.

    Good job; o/ nuclear defence
