"You misheard me. Amerikanisches Reich is to that point for your nation, just not the FRA. If we're going to come to a treaty, all three of this, we needed to make that known. As for the second Tahoe, what a sham. Predating Amerikanisches Reich when we were referred to as Republic of War, long ago, Tahoe was a true ally. They continued to be as Amerikanisches Reich came to be. We regret not being able to prevent any of what has occurred. We side with Transvaal's view on this."

"I'm sure a liberal travel policy between our nations could be arranged to make it easier for citizens of both nations to travel back and forth," Josef smiled as he led the ambassador to his office, "The people of our nation obviously have a desire to see the Old Country at points, though not as greatly as you might think. Though I'm sure if you knew the background of our nation, you'd know why." Josef opened the door to his office and waited for the man to enter, "Have a seat in front of my desk." The office was very plain, no decorations or anything. A desk, some papers on it with some pens, a mini-flag holder and flag, two seats that sat in front of the desk, and directly across from Josef's seat was a painting of Karl Verteidiger, former ruler of Republic of War, precursor to Amerikanisches Reich, Otto's father. No real luxuries. Mr. Mender took a seat himself after standing for a bit and went straight to business, "Obviously our nations share something. History, culture, etc. We have a unique bond. A way to make that bond greater is through diplomatic relations, trade, and other gestures. Does North Germany have any ambitions and hopes in sending you here?"

Henry leaned back, "We appreciate the answers and we acknowledge that history is history in regards to you Littleton, we just merely wanted to get it out there and addressed. Being out of the world political scene for a bit, it is sometimes simply more efficient to ask bluntly than to read reports, to beat around the bush, etc. We wish to conduct ourselves diplomatically without straining our allies and in order to do this, we need to know how certain nations feel about others." He paused, took a sip of water, then continued, "I feel everyone here is comfortable with everyone and a treaty is in order, however, I do not know if a MUTUAL defense pact is a good idea. We do not harbor any ill feelings towards the FRA but we frankly haven't dealt with them long enough to say, 'We'll send our boys to die for your flag'. We'd be willing to for Himynamistan at this point, though. We are definitely willing to work with the FRA to hit this point in our relationship, though." OOC: Sigh. I had a good reply to this before I left yesterday for work but I guess I didn't hit post.

The driver smiled, he knew the man would be impressed. "We always get tourists from Europe, Germany especially, coming here to see things that they could see back home. I'll leave you meet Josef now, it was nice meeting you." Without giving his name, the driver got in the car and drove off. Josef was at the top of the steps, to his right and left were banners hanging off the exterior walls of the Capitol. Banners flew between all the pillars on the exterior wall, it looked impressive to say the least. The colors would remind anyone of old Imperial Germany. The building itself was huge, old, and made of stone and marble. Josef walked down the steps and shook hands with Van den Berg, "Follow me to my office where we can sit and discuss important matters between our nations. Was your flight pleasant? How did you enjoy the city so far?" Josef stepped up the steps and waved for the guards to open the tall doors into the Capitol.

OOC: Good to know, interest back story too. A Punjabi is on your currency? Haha. That's awesome. Because of the stuff from Northern India and Afghanistan, does Islam hold a minority relgious status?

Henry Spirits represented Amerikanisches Reich. He held no title as the newly formed government of the Reich was still moving people into certain Ministries, etc. He just made it clear he officially represented Amerikanisches Reich on behalf of the Kaiser himself. "I am glad you brought this up. We were growing somewhat alarmed by all the talk of freedom for the ingenious people, revolution, etc from our neighbors. We were hoping they did not think we held a population of natives or something to be freed. Our nation is almost entirely white Amerikaner, people of direct German descent. Most other races fled Amerikanisches Reich during the first Reich and most of the remainder left during the second. The tiny minority left are being encouraged to emigrate by the current government." Henry paused and looked at Andrew, "However, another concern we have is signing a treaty with your nation. The FRA was one of our main roadblocks to reclaiming Texas. It should come to no surprise that our eye is still on that land, so the memories of past enemies is triggered... We are not wanting to hold a grudge but I have to represent and clarify Amerikanisches Reich's ambitions. What is everyone's position regarding the USA?" He glanced at the weapons in the brochures and smirked, "I think we like this, nevertheless." He took a sip of the juice, "Nice kick to it." OOC: I'm doing this on the assumption everyone was already at it, so I heard everything. Waiting on me isn't needed. Also, haha, this is technically the Third Reich, if I wanted to say it that way,

The driver climbed in and started to make his way through the city, "I believe you will be struck by a somewhat image of home here. Especially the capital, which many buildings take a timber frame build or Gothic style of architecture." The driver pointed to some homes on the side of the road leading to Neu Corpus Christi, timber framed mostly, some mixed in with modern influences. They passed the biggest cathedral in the whole country, a huge structure resembling many of the Gothic ones in Germany and mainland Europe. As they approached the capital building, the driver pointed out that many of the buildings and such were styled somewhat after Berlin, especially the Capitol building, which looked similar to the Reichstag. The driver pulled in the driveway to the Capitol and stopped the car, Josef waiting on the steps of the building. "Tell me what you thought before you depart. More home than you thought possible?" The driver smiled.

A car sat near a runway in the airport of the capital, Neu Corpus Christi. The driver was waiting for the ambassador from North Germany to land. He had instructions to drive him to meet Josef Mender, head officer of the Foreign Affairs Ministry. There they would discuss where he would be staying, what the two nations can do for each other, etc. The plane started to descend onto the runway, it was dark outside due to the cloudy weather and night time but the runway was lit up brilliantly. The plane landed, taxied, and then stopped. The Ambassador Van den Berg departed the airplane and the driver received him, "I'll be driving you to meet Josef, come along. I'll take you through the most delightful parts of the city first. It will remind you of a town from home possibly. "

Otto flipped the paper after he was done reading in his room before bed, "Communists and semi-Anarchists right next door? We'll see how this plays out.."

Returning from the Chihuahua Summit to a small town near the western border of the new nation, Otto opened the door to his car and climbed out slowly. He looked around the small town, its buildings draw a look from old Europe, Germany. People peered out the windows, traffic and all activity halted as they saw his car approach. They knew what their leader had left for, what was at the table to gain. Amerikanisches Reich had faded from a national government, from regional and world power, to a more local government. The people and Otto thought it was time to reverse the trend, to claim land for the Reich once again, to come out onto the world stage as a sovereign nation. The people were anxious. Their eyes glued to their leader, who was now dressed in a uniform, the one he wore when he held the title "Kaiser". He pulled out a paper and unraveled it, faced it forward for everyone to see. They could not read it from that far so he spoke, "Freiheit". Loud cheers broke from the town's people as Otto began to walk down the main street. Banners of the old Reich flew down from windows and flapped against the buildings. A crowd had formed around the now Kaiser, the re-emergence was here. The people would spread the news quickly throughout the region, but a television crew was already at the City Hall, at the end of the main street. Otto continued to walk towards the Hall, as he climbed the steps, the cameras started to roll and the old flag of the Reich was given to Kaiser Verteidiger. He kissed it, unrolled it, and raised it. [center][img]http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/1466/bigflaglh7.png[/img][/center] The local television channel went off for a few seconds as the image of the flag waving was on the screen for a minute then came back on, with the former State Television logo in the corner. The camera pointed at Otto who now was a podium, "Amerikanisches Reich once again emerges onto the world stage, may the cooperation of our people and their combined efforts make our nation great once more. We encourage former Amerikaners and Germans that lived in the former territory held to return to the Fatherland, you will be compensated. Details of our government, etc will be released as soon as they are finalized. The capital of Amerikanisches Reich is Neu Corpus Christi (Monterrey, Mexico). My people, our hard work and effort will reward us greatly in time. As a nation, we are one entity." Cheers broke out and a pause in the address occurred. As the cheering died, "I will lead this nation to greatness, with your blessing. I leave you now, to situate ourselves in the world." Otto walked down the steps of the hall to a fury of people, wanting to just shake hands with the man. After a few minutes of talking, etc he climbed into his car and proceeded East, to the new capital. The camera turned around, facing the main street of the town, banners waved and the people were as happy as could be. Another flag at the end of the street mirrored the one that flew on the City Hall, the camera zoned up on it for a minute. The Foreign Affairs department will be taking any questions or comments from foreign nations. Any questions will be directed to Kaiser Otto Verteidiger himself as no Foreign Affairs Officer has been selected as of yet.

Amerikanisches Reich welcomes this neighbor, may we emerge together peacefully.

Otto got up and stretched a little, "Truly a pleasure, gentlemen. I'll be leaving now, expect an announcement soon." He shook hands with all present and left.

Otto pulled out a pen from his pocket, "Present the paper and I will sign."

Otto shook his head, "I misread the key and colors. I thought you were going off the territories Zzzptm seemed to want to allow us to have. Your division is more favorable to what we desire, so we accept this as well." Otto shook his head and stared back, embarrassed a bit. OOC: I got mixed up, whoops.

Otto looked over the draft, "So no Coahuila? Hmmm.... We really won't press it. Acceptable in our eyes.."
