  4. As Secretary Taitt drove through Ottawa, she gazed at the large metropolis and began thinking of what she would say. This was her first official trip abroad since her appointment. With American relations historically peaceful, she hopes that it would remain so for the future. Upon arriving and being greeted she would reply, "Foreign Minister Montgolfier and Governor Wentworth, thank you for inviting me to your beautiful capital. My trip gave me an excellent time to relax and catch up on some sleep. The State Department has been swamped with work ever since it was reestablished. Although today, I have high hopes for a positive and beneficial outcome for both of us."
  5. "Absolutely," replied Ambassador Crimson. "Military cooperation between the United states and her European allies has always been strong. My President believes no different."
  6. Thanks for the warm welcome. I do have a question though, can more than one person run one country?

  13. The Executive Branch and the U.S. Congress have constitutional responsibilities for U.S. foreign policy. Within the Executive Branch, the Department of State is the lead U.S. foreign affairs agency, and its head, the Secretary of State, is the President's principal foreign policy advisor, though other officials or individuals may have more influence on their foreign policy decisions. The Department advances U.S. objectives and interests in the world through its primary role in developing and implementing the President's foreign policy. The Department also supports the foreign affairs activities of other U.S. Government entities including the Department of Defense, the Department of Finance and Trade, the Department of Homeland Security, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the U.S. Agency for International Development. It also provides an array of important services to U.S. citizens and to foreigners seeking to visit or immigrate to the U.S. The Department of State's purpose includes: Protecting and assisting U.S. citizens living or traveling abroad; Assisting U.S. businesses in the international marketplace; Coordinating and providing support for international activities of other U.S. agencies (local, state, or federal government), official visits overseas and at home, and other diplomatic efforts. Keeping the public informed about U.S. foreign policy and relations with other countries and providing feedback from the public to administration officials. Providing automobile registration for non-diplomatic staff vehicles and the vehicles of diplomats of foreign countries having diplomatic immunity in the United States. The Department of State conducts these activities with a civilian workforce, and normally uses the Foreign Service personnel system for positions that require service abroad. Employees may be assigned to diplomatic missions abroad to represent America, analyze and report on political, economic, and social trends; adjudicate visas; and respond to the needs of American citizens abroad. As required by the principle of checks and balances, the Department also consults with Congress about foreign policy initiatives and policies. Secretary of State Alisha Taitt
  14. "The United States of America thanks all those who have offered their recognition and support. The State Department is currently overflowing with requests for meetings and bilateral discussions. Each request will be handled on an individual basis and each will be answered." - Secretary of State Alisha Taitt OOC- Ambassadorial appointments will be announced soon. Will be making a separate thread to request meetings/exchanging ambassadors.

The MEB, which varies in size, is capable of conducting missions across the full range of military operations. It is constructed around a reinforced infantry regiment designated as a regimental combat team (RCT), a composite Marine aircraft group, and a combat logistics regiment (CLR), formerly known as a brigade service support group, all commanded by a battalion-sized command element designated as a MEB headquarters group. The MEB, commanded by a general officer (either a Major General or a Brigadier General), is task-organized to meet the requirements of a specific situation. It can function as part of a joint task force, as the lead echelon of the MEF, or alone. The MEU is based on a reinforced Marine infantry battalion, designated as a battalion landing team (BLT), supported by a composite medium helicopter or medium tiltrotor squadron (HMH or HMM), containing both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft and aviation support detachments, and a combat logistics battalion (CLB), all commanded by a company-sized MEU headquarters group. Each MEU is rated as capable of performing special operations, though USMC's definition of this is not consistent with that SOCOM. 17. PUBLIC INFORMATION Today, President George Heller was inaugurated as the 1st President of the new United States of America. Parts of his address are as follows: "The United States has fallen victim to partisan quarrels and has failed to act accordingly to ensure America's citizens had the necessary transportation and infrastructure to promote jobs and stimulate the economy. As your President I will make it my mission to ensure America is strong internally before turning to foreign affairs." "This great Nation will endure as it has endured, will revive and will prosper." " We know what works: Freedom works. We know what's right: Freedom is right. We know how to secure a more just and prosperous life for man on Earth: through free markets, free speech, free elections, and the exercise of free will unhampered by the state." "America today is a proud, free nation, decent and civil, a place we cannot help but love. We know in our hearts, not loudly and proudly, but as a simple fact, that this country has meaning beyond what we see, and that our strength is a force for good. But have we changed as a nation even in our time? Are we enthralled with material things, less appreciative of the nobility of work and sacrifice?" "America is never wholly herself unless she is engaged in high moral principle." "There are few clear areas in which we as a society must rise up united and express our intolerance. The most obvious now is the imperialistic threat to global peace and security." "Heavenly Father, we bow our heads and thank You for Your love. Accept our thanks for the peace that yields this day and the shared faith that makes its continuance likely. Make us strong to do Your work, willing to heed and hear Your will, and write on our hearts these words: "Use power to help people." For we are given power not to advance our own purposes, nor to make a great show in the world, nor a name. There is but one just use of power, and it is to serve people. Help us to remember it, Lord. Amen." "Thank you. God bless you and God bless the United States of America."
  18. Hello All! I am new to this community, however I have been observing the OOC and IC posts for several weeks and finally decided to take the plunge. Since I have been observing, I can't say I'm to content with OOC disputes, but the IC roleplay looks fun. That also means I know the IC disputes too, so don;t try to pull any #$@% with me about being an ally. I know who is sane and insane and will act accordingly. I am not an imperialist, and really just want to focus on internal RP for now. Thanks and have a beautiful day!
  19. Could I get Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia, New York, North Carolina, and Rhode Island? (13 original colonies) and get it marked as the United States of America? http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?/topic/122305-united-states-of-america/
  20. THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA "My Fellow Americans, After the fall of our great nation and her government, your elected representatives at the Third Constitutional Convention in Washington D.C. has drafted a new constitution, elected a new president, and formed the original thirteen colonies as the foundation of the new age of America. We will forever be the land of the free and home of the brave. America is strong. America will be free again!" - President George Heller
