1. Summary of the Celtiberian Confederation After the collapse of organized civilization in the Iberian peninsula, and specifically the Numantia region, a new loose grouping of celtic tribes banded together. Pooling their resources, food and fuel mainly for survival rather than to reform a new government or political state, this trend continued over a period of time. Society gradually became more ordered as the continuing cooperation between the celts improved and were strengthened. After refounding the city of Numantia, the major chieftains of the group agreed to create a single primary entity to which all inhabitants of central Iberia would swear fealty to and belong. The Celtiberian Confederation. It was decided that a delegation would be sent to Carthage to petition for a release from their protectorate, under a treatied agreement. Thus, the Punic League was born, of which the Celts are now a proud member of. Fact: The Celtic tribes have been a predominant force in Iberia for thousands of years. Only recently have their cultures begun to resurface to a place of prominence.

Summer, 2014 AD - Iberian Peninsula Galitorvix rode his horse at a gentle gallop over the sloping grassy hills that made up the Iberian countryside. It was nearing noontime and the sun was high overhead, bathing the landscape in a golden aura. The fields were ripe with crops. Mostly wheat, barley and other food staples that would be harvested for the coming winter. Much of the Iberian peninsula was inhabited now, and often times under the watchful and protective gaze of the Carthaginians to the south. Things now, have changed. With the rise of the Council of Chieftains, the Iberian countryside would flourish. It was rumored that the announcement and proclamations had already been issued earlier this week. That a new, and proud people once dominated by other political intrigues and infighting amongst themselves, had united to reforge a proud history. That the Celtiberian Confederation had reformed in the ashes of a spanish nation and risen from it's death. Halting his horse, Galitorvix continued to look at some of the farm hands continued to work. Though he rode a horse, it wasn't always the preferred method for citizens in the countryside. Though the horseman traditions had never left his people, they had grown with the times, naturally. He could see machinery, combines and other vehicles going about the work that farmers usually did. Oblivious to their new leader's gaze upon them. This years harvest would be bountiful, and the people would certainly have plenty to see them through the winter's time this year. Yes, the Celts were back. And they were on a mission.

Section 1: History of Connecticut The name Connecticut is derived from anglicized versions of the Algonquian word that has been translated as "long tidal river" and "upon the long river." The Connecticut region was inhabited by multiple Indian tribes prior to European settlement and colonization, including the Mohicans, and Paugusetts. The first European explorer in Connecticut was a Dutch explorer. After he explored this region in 1614, Dutch fur traders sailed up the Connecticut River (then known by the Dutch as Versche Rivier – "Fresh River") and built a fort at Dutch Point in what is present-day Hartford, which they called "House of Hope". Connecticut developed a conservative elite that would dominate colonial affairs in the years leading up to the American Revolution. The forces of liberalism and democracy emerged slowly, but solidly, encouraged by the entrepreneurship of the business community, and the new religious freedom. With the establishment of Yale College in 1701, Connecticut had an important institution to educate clergy and civil leaders. After two centuries of growth, and the eventual assimilation into the American Commonwealth, the inhabitants and descendants of the region resolved themselves into forming a unified nation, styled as a Republic. Being granted their independence by the Commonwealth, the formal Republic of Connecticut was created as a legal political entity.
