  1. Syndicate was in the top 5 largest alliance strength gains until the other day, but no longer. May have something to do with the three large former Hegemony nations they snagged out of surrender. Sent one of them back to "Karma POW;" now just waiting on one more. That AA isn't open for recruitment yet, is it? I mean... Not that recruiting that particular pool of players makes any sense (particularly this early in the war) for someone seeking to build a loyal member base.
  2. o/ Olympus. You've been excellent opponents.
  3. It's been nothing but a pleasure fighting beside you guys. Much love for our allies at Umbrella.
  4. o/ Ravenous Germans. That looks delicious.
  5. Then surely if nothing changes in your real life, you're not *actually* concerned about what happens in a trivial game that you've repeatedly denied caring about. Lolwut. We're taking it too seriously? Edit: Sorry for fueling this... This thread is going nowhere. Discussions between Wolverine and Kronos are closed until something constructive can come of them.
  6. 1. I'm not in NATO. 2. It's pretty much CN SOP that a target gets war until individual peace terms are published. If every individual who wished not to be attacked were simply given peace, what would ensure that the war declared had its desired effect? It's been made clear that you'll get your peace once the coalition approves it.
  7. Well, I should say that's not my problem, but I'd imagine he'd do it by frugal spending and a feverish devotion to avoiding nuke anarchy. He has the resources at hand already to do some decent damage, small war chest (plus recent 5 days of collection) aside. Edit: On second thought, maybe it'd be best for him to just turtle and pump 20 into us. To be fair, Wolverine, if GGA told you nothing of the possibility of a coming conflict, then they did fail you on some level (it's up to them to defend their members, not just to be defended by them). Different story if you ignored warnings or advice given for the sake of your safety. Somehow I don't figure this is going the way you'd played it out in your head beforehand.
  8. It appears as though he's decided to stand his ground and fight. There was some friction in getting there, but you can't expect someone to change his style of play instantly without any reservations. Wolverine, I look forward to this war. By one week and ~5k infra from now, you may even be enjoying yourself. Prove yourself by fighting, and who knows, maybe some of the people who have been so critical of you in this thread will gain some respect and even allow you to stand by them in the future. Your best move at this point (in terms of your honor and current nation) would probably be to return to GGA and serve those who've provided you protection for however long you've been there. At war's end, you can re-assess your membership and head elsewhere, if you like. If you paid any attention to the "fake" politics that run this game, you'd know that it's a popular option of late. Otherwise, I assure you, you'll be notified as soon as individual surrender terms become available, and you will be allowed to serve your time as a POW of Karma.
  9. So you're operating under the assumption that 100% of infra growth in CN comes from donations? For the most active donors, I'd guess 20-40% (no research) of infra comes from donations. Most players don't donate at all, and I would guess that donation infra only accounts for a small percentage of what's destroyed.
  10. It took a single GA to anarchy your top nation (no longer), and he has ~4x bills on hand, by my figuring. As for the 8 alliances... There's a reason Ender called this one a head shot. Edit: Hadn't seen you post this yet: Yes, that's exactly what I said.
  11. Maybe a resurgence of FAN will bring the return of Yellow Number 5?
  12. If you were well-informed, you'd understand that today is probably not a good day for you to walk out into public, let alone to start drawing ignorant conclusions and writing troll posts.
  13. Unless you're willing to put in the work to ascend to the decision-making tiers of your alliance, there will always be some level of helplessness and/or ignorance of goings-on. Two of your best options otherwise include: 1. Keep your eyes on these forums. Spend some time on IRC. Get to know different alliances and their leaders, and make an informed decision as to which best fits your ideals and solicits your trust. This way, if you join, you know that your interests and those of your leaders will be in sync, and you'll be less likely to end up in a conflict with which you don't agree. 2. Join a neutral alliance. While neutrality may or may not be a part of your personal views, an alliance such as The Democratic Order provides a community which is largely separate from the global body politic. In a place such as this, you can be reasonably confident that your leaders won't put you into the situation you're experiencing now.
  14. TDO Keep up the great work, guys. Part of me is sad I can't be there in the midst of it. Best wishes, as always.
  15. I hope you all enjoy being treatied to one another sufficiently, because I don't see how any organization of sound-minded leadership would ever consider associating with you again. This is despicable.
  16. To be fair, he can always switch to the red team and seek protection under the Revenge Doctrine.
  17. He gave the same reasoning when he left Gre, too. Timing wasn't quite so bad, but it was right as the talk of "Grämlins are next" became audible enough that a politically uninformed player would hear it. Oh well, he's pretty much stuck in peace mode forever now. He's too tempting of a raid target/vengeance hit for large nations to pass up, and any worthwhile alliance will do a background check and quickly learn that they shouldn't admit him. What's the point in accepting him, anyway? He's generally forum inactive, won't send aid, and won't fight in a war when it comes. Have fun in peace mode, CT... At least you can keep your slots filled, mirite?
  18. Surely you're not implying that this little incident is what brought the world to war.
  19. Hmm... Maybe it's just my upbringing, but I'd hope for their sake that they have 40-50 billions in their top ranks alone. You know... to fight a war with, and stuff. Let's not worry about giving away money yet; there are much more enjoyable ways of spending it in the days to come. :jihad: Also... Why have you taken it upon yourself to argue for them? NPO has plenty of articulate members of their own handling damage control.
