  1. I always thought the NPO "no leaving during war" rule was interesting. Isn't the NPO pretty much in a constant state of war with a few alliances out there? Or do only recently declared wars count?
  2. Well perhaps it takes Ivan Moldavi to break some of the idiotic customs that pass for common law. The reason why generally alliances get hit for harboring ZI/PZI/EZI nations even if they provide no actual support (aid or defense) and put them in no position of power is because the true intent if ZI is not to damage the nation but to isolate the ruler (OOC: The player) by preventing him to join a community (OOC: Not withstanding opposition groups like Vox, FAN, etc. But not everyone wants to play the game that way.) Most of us probably consider the inability to join a community a far harsher punishment than the loss of infra and tech. If this practice became common then suddenly the powers that be lose one of their better tools, the threat and ability to take away your ability to enjoy probably the only thing that is enjoyable about Planet Bob: Being part of a community.
  3. I was not implying it was unique to STA, sorry if it came off that way. Just wanted to see your reasoning and your answer makes sense. Personally I think when you pledge to fight for someone you take that ally with all the baggage they carry, even their allies. I see your point though, especially with a recent war.
  4. STA is one of those alliances that makes us go "Damn, if only everyone was like that." May someday the courage of your protectors be something common not shocking. For now, congrats on a fine protector, NSO.
  5. Simple way to see there's clearly a double standard, no need to reference back to GPA, just have some random alliance without the right connections announce that they'll accept folks on NPO's (or some other power alliance) ZI list. Would they get away with it simply by refusing to defend them, aid them and put them in .gov?
  6. What is the state of STA/Valhalla relations? What are your thoughts on the past (and maybe present?) threats from Valhalla towards members of STA? Why does STA add special chaining clauses to their treaties? Thanks in advance.
  7. I'd humbly suggest Silent. Many things have been done by him.
  8. Agreed. The cupcake threat is grave indeed. So how much more small talk and "Hello" messages must be exchanged before someone will ask you about the fact that the alliance you once led is now a rotting corpse of its former self which has abandoned its principles and sits at the head of a conglomerate that has brought meaningful political interaction to a halt by exalting non-competitive, pragmatic survival-above-all behavior as the only proper path? Or will that be for another day?
  9. I must admit that Ivan Moldavi is kind of a waste in today's Planet Bob. Here is the man who speaks with tanks in a world in which people speak with cupcakes, huggles and backroom deals only. Sad.
  10. I'll go get the ovens ready.
  11. Which part of the quoted text do you disagree with? Mr. Peterson claimed that no one is willing to take such a risk, I pointed out he was incorrect. We've seen alliances like STA, TDSM8 and MK (To name some) fight for what they thought was right even knowing the risk to their alliance and their infrastructure and tech. It's sad this is a feat that is admired as rare and courageous and not the norm on Planet Bob. alden peterson's way of thinking is sadly common, but by no means the only one.
  12. Don't speak for everyone. There's several alliances on Planet Bob who are more than willing to fight for their principles even if it means losing their precious infrastructure and tech. Don't assume everyone shares your world view.
  13. I am not a "troll". I was just remarking on the fact that people like Janova love to fight against injustice with their OWF posts yet are in alliances allied to the very people who take part in these sort of tactics. Everyone has a right to speak their minds, but if your words don't match your actions expect someone to also speak their mind and point it out. OOC: Or in Mogarspeak: I AM NOT TROWLIN'
  14. As your allies love to say all the time: "Do something about it."
  15. Right on the money. An utterly one-sided stomping doesn't quite break stagnation.
  16. TOP is teaching TSO their ways. Just suck up and pay in exchange for survival. Who needs war when these "I'll do anything to live" alliances pay reps before any shots are fired? War is just for smashing unconnected alliances.
  17. I thought you'd be sad to see such a young alliance rolled.
  18. He'd rather make mead jokes rather than own up to the fact he enabled noWedge as he went around bullying people IC and [ooc]harassing them[/ooc]
  19. Sorry I choose to take serious issues seriously. I'm Jake Erics, I am not a homosexual and I am sure you mean you want to kill me IC, since Valhalla doesn't mix IC and OOC like they did under noWedge (right?).
  20. I'm saddened to see that you make light of the great crimes you were complicit to. Every person who noWedge hurt, (OOC: IC and more importantly OOC) he did with your knowledge and only because and the rest of Valhalla's government allowed it.
  21. To clarify I am not a member of the New Pacific Order. I'm sorry you can't focus on my words but the AA I fly. With that out of the way I will now celebrate the enlightenment of comrade Kortal.
  22. I am simply pointing out their hypocrisy. They used to cheer noWedge on and now they re-write history as if the sins of Valhalla are the sins of noWedge alone. All the horrible things he did, and you know of them better than most, he only did because Valhalla enabled him. Alone noWedge had no power to do what he did, we can thank his supporters for that.
  23. You're likely right. Just so you know Valhalla was quite excited to roll MK back when you were there, sadly their beloved noWedge could not deliver. He and chefjoe probably cried about their inability to roll you on Skype for hours.
  24. By "you" I meant the entire alliance not you personally. I assume given the area where this announcement was placed (OOC: Alliance announcement forum) that you speak for your alliance not for yourself only. The alliance you belong to used to support and cheer him on until he became impossible to defend (both IC and OOC). Or maybe they were secretly disgusted all along but not until external pressure forced them did they dare rock the boat. So were you cowards then or are you liars now?
