  1. They're not at war anymore, for one, and two, I imagine FAN will have treaties by then.
  2. Oh please. We know not all of us are saints, and I honestly can't even recall anyone claiming otherwise. We do know that as a whole, Karma is a far lesser evil than the Hegemony. But really, what are you expecting us to do? Refuse help because they have policies we don't agree with? I'm sure the Hegemony would love that.
  3. Yeah, they all mean the same thing - a group of people coming together. However, if you were to refer to something in domestic politics as a "Labor bloc" people would give you funny looks. Again, just semantics, and you should drop it - it's one hell of a weak argument. No matter how many definitions you throw out there, it doesn't change the fact that Karma is not conjoined by a single treaty. Name a few.
  4. Again, dictionary references have no bearing on a world with its own dictionary. It's just meaningless semantics anyway.
  5. Well, uh, yeah, that's why we took you guys down. Karma isn't a bloc, it's a coalition. We aren't putting ourselves "on top," what we are doing is, as Archon said, leveling the playing field. Keep telling yourself that, but I still think you don't really understand what Karma is exactly. Though if you are going to make those claims, back them up. Who's going to war, for what reason, and what makes you think this way? Really, do tell, I love speculation. You... really still don't see how bad NPO was? Or do you not understand that some people simply are enraged over injustice despite having no involvement, let alone when it's done to their friends? Nearly all of us in Karma have been effected one way or another by NPO's tyranny. They were waiting for justice or revenge from however far back their history goes. We've all tried and failed several times before, we just happened to muster enough strength this time around. While I can only speak for GR in this regard, as I don't know the inner workings of other alliances - We're not the Hegemony, we don't do propaganda (aside from in jest). I've been in NPO, I've seen the difference in how the facts are presented. In GR, we bring up history from time to time, and have an open discussion on who was right, and tend to reach the same conclusion, so we move in that direction. In NPO, they have a history guide in plain sight that explains how they won the Great War, or how there was no question over who was right in GW3, etc. I will give you this point. It's used in another sense in this world. A bloc is held together by a single treaty. This was just a chain reaction from a series of treaties and poorly planned DoWs (OG's declaration on GR comes to mind, since it brought in OBR, who got OG on their knees in days.)
  6. Of course it did - NPO has been taken down, as well as their network of EZI supporters. It's already depolarized the world, removing any central power. And most of all, we'll remove Moo from his throne of incompetence. Or, on a more tangible level, it's ended VietFAN. You can't really argue against that.
  7. Congrats on signing this epic tre- oh, it's disbanding? Wow, never even knew you guys were there. Must have been one hell of a treaty with credible alliances like NPO and Echelo - no you say? Oh dear.
  8. How the hell did I make that kind of slip?
  9. However, the fact that there is no central power to polarize the world also reduces the likelihood that it will be a war of this scale - probably only 3 - 4 alliances fighting another 3-4 alliances. And in their current state, it only takes a few alliances (such as the members of C&G) to keep NPO down.
  10. Dunno, just felt like quoting this. There's really nothing "low" about recruiting from your former enemies, IMO. If anything, it shows admirable forgiveness, and understanding that members of an alliance are each individuals, and not to be judged by the actions of their leaders. Far too many people these days that don't understand this.
  11. Oh come now, you saw how well that worked for NAAC and LUE. I like that IRON is starting to awaken from their trance, and just might not fall in with the bad crowd next time. I have alot of hope for them. NPO I'm less optimistic about. Even after we kick Moo out (which will in truth be for their own benefit) they still have a history of being the villains. However, I doubt they will be a threat again any time soon, as their lies will slowly be exposed once their allies realize what they've done, and soon nobody will want an alliance with them. OG I can see in the gutter sometime soon. The way they acted, especially during their peace talks, was absolutely shameful. If Reyne doesn't step down, that alliance is hopeless.
  12. Yikes, that's a harsh one. Screwing with what one can do with their own nation for that long is sadistic at best. Not that I can argue with your logic, or say that I don't like the idea, but it wouldn't fly. Plus, gray feels more "taste of their own medicine"-y to me though, considering the terms for GW3.
  13. NPO agreed to 4 of the 5 terms, and the last one was "unacceptable" due to the number of nations that would be kept in peace mode, as well as the strict soldier requirements. Even if that last term was harsh (not that you don't deserve it,) it wasn't the "one minute" clause that kept it from happening - it was a mutual breakdown between the parties. However, even that is rather funny - why would you turn down surrender for the sake of your soldiers and nations in peace mode when you just wound up keeping them in peace mode anyway, and losing all of said soldiers? Did you not know it would end like this, and if not... how? Just what WERE you planning? Or was it all just a long-shot gamble that you lost? I will say that I can see it from your perspective, as the ending was quite rushed, but if this was going to be your strategy anyway, why delay to begin with? Though I will say that I'd like to see Karma's most up to date peace terms, and I will continue to say I hope to god that moving NPO to gray is on there.
  14. Uh, where did you get that ridiculous summary? From what I know, Karma hasn't sent NPO any peace terms since a couple weeks ago, which they declined - and they weren't anything like that. We do plan on giving them harsh terms (Moving them to gray seems like a good one,) but we're not going to beat up on them after they've agreed to peace.
  15. Indeed, good sir. Tis what I have been waiting for as well.
  16. Friend (4:43:29 PM): kitties Me (4:43:36 PM): nuclear kitties? Friend (4:43:53 PM): no Friend (4:43:56 PM): normal ones Me (4:44:08 PM): I can't use them then!
  17. Congratulations to the elected and condoloences to all those effected by this emo trend raging through Farkistan.
  18. It's also the result of IRON staying off the OWF.
  19. I know this, but if everyone you hang around is evil, people are going to assume you're evil as well. You guys just fell in with the wrong crowd, imo. That's been my dream since my first day in CN politics, really. Hahaa... thanks, I try. I'm rather glad to be able to discuss stuff without being assaulted with stubbornness myself, so thanks for that, Delgursh.
  20. The problem is that you have gone to war behind NPO for similar reasons when things looked better, like in the previous major conflict, which we call the noCB war. However, to answer your question, TORN did that - however, they had the luxury of being part of the original strike team, and proved that they were willing to fight, but not without reason. Therefore, it might be safe to say that, even if it was all in deceit, declaring on day one, then taking a few days to "reconsider" would have had much better effects. But then, Hindsight, 20/20, etc.
  21. Happy birthday, us. I still remember the day I heard of our formation... I dropped my old alliance in a heartbeat, for a chance to be a part of something so visibly awesome. An alliance allying with Polaris, with so many of my favorite members? I was on it faster than... than... me on a wheel of brie cheese. Shame I won't remember this day, what with the rum and what have you. Can I change my vote to this man? He seems to know what he's doing.
  22. NPO didn't come to anyone's aid during the unjust war, they only took out someone who aided FAN. And this topic has everything to do with history. IRON should feel no regret at bidding NPO farewell when NPO has done so little for them, and used them so so much.
  23. Have they stood by your side, or have you stood by theirs? I really cannot find any instance where IRON was defended, or even backed up by NPO, as opposed to IRON backing up or defending NPO.
  24. My history isn't flawless, but I'm having a hard time coming up with a time that IRON was defended by the NPO, in the sense that an alliance was attacking IRON and NPO declared war to defend them. And this is an earnest question, has NPO ever really defended you?
