  1. Sovereignty here is not the same as sovereignty elsewhere. It is what nations are allowed to do, and what did we do that forced them to do anything.
  2. Answer me how are we making them do anything? As far as I see we only provide a reason to act, and we do not force any action to be taken.
  3. What was infringed upon? We didn't say who they could ally with, if they should ally, who they can declare war on, what they can buy, or anything else. Everything was FoA's choice, in no way did we force them to act. We provided a reason why they should take action, but we didn't make them take any action.
  4. We did not force them to do anything. As I said the wars were four ground attacks, and peace. The onus on proving that \m/, pc, and goons attacks would have resulted in FoA's destruction is on you, and I don't see anything substantial in that regard.
  5. Nope, all wars in that incident were four ground battles, and then a peace offer. After the four we left what would happen up to FoA, they could either chose to continue the fight, or peace out. What this says to unaligned nations out there is that the existence they partake in is a dangerous one. People will attack them if they are viewed as weak, and as such it is up to the unaligned nations if they wish to join an alliance to avoid the possibility, or stick it out on their own.
  6. We did not force them to accept a protectorate, they chose to accept it themselves.
  7. Can you show us where we did so? We did not tell corp to intervene they chose to do so themselves, and FoA chose to go along with them. We did not force them to accept corporations help, and we certainly did not force FoA to accept the protectorate.
  8. It's probably due to many alliances limiting raids to ground battles only really. When I was still able to raid I always went all out, and expected just as much damage to me whenever I got involved with anyone who didn't roll over and die. It's all about getting in quick, and getting out with the least damage these days.
  9. The cyberverse needs more people like this.
  10. Silly child it is still the all same. You can fool yourself to think otherwise, but the same actions that have taken place in the beginning still take place today.
  11. Must have been a short thing because for the life of me I can't remember that incident. Oh well, and I'm interested to know who your allies were because they must have been some pretty bad ones to not stand up for you guys.
  12. Like I said we can all usually get what we want. There are sharks in the waters of cn, and if blood gets in the water expect some frenzy. If anything this should illustrate how important good ties are for alliances, and that what is posted on the forms gets reactions.
  13. When you know people are looking for unaligned nations to raid wouldn't you think it's not too smart to be flying that aa? The easy solutions are to find an affiliation to join/hide behind, or head to peace mode. Problem solved for them.
  14. And that is whats great about our world, that more or less unless you do something stupid you can live how you want to.
  15. The more lessons the better. Knowledge is power after all. I have tried peace early on, hell when they were new I campaigned against using nukes, and even took some for people. Then I tried raiding, and it was like I was eating steak every day except now I was having fillet mignon. Give it a try if you haven't, enjoy the destruction you can sow, and who knows maybe it'll be an interesting experience for anyone who hasn't raided.
  16. Don't announce treaty cancellations if it's the only one you have.
  17. If we wanted to, but we don't. Peace and so one are lovely concepts, but they only work so long as everyone agrees to them. Given our species tendencies in terms of agreements I'd say fat chance on that. Also it's fun so that guarantees it being done.
  18. Look at the world around you. Creation and destruction are the constants of existence. New life comes into play, and it ends just as quickly in many ways. We are merely continuing the cycle since it provides wonderful enjoyment.
  19. You know the whole angel/demon on the shoulder thing? We've just got a guy from Camden.
  20. I don't know, \m/thens seems pretty !@#$%*ing to me.
  21. This is the first I've heard of an unwritten rule about not tech raiding alliances. Guess I've been hanging out with the wrong crowd.
