  1. Except both of you are abusing the power you've granted yourselves. Set up a set criteria for nation size (may I suggest CN nation area of influence), figure out a way to factor in tech/NS, and make the area claim process fair. If someone attacks and destroys your nation in CNRP, it isn't the end of the RP.
  2. There needs to be a check and balance in any RP. I'm not going to take over it, but there needs to be someone there to keep the head players in check. And the players are losing interest in the RP because of the simple fact that their needs are not being met.
  3. If you guys would like someone else to run the RP, please check your messages.
  4. I have sent out PMs. Please heed those words, especially if you are arguing about fairness etc.
  5. In that case I change my claim to Sweden and Norway.
  6. Back when I played CNRP (in 2010), land was determined by your sphere of influence in-game. Your nations actual sphere of influence needed to be equal or greater than what you were claiming (to a reasonable degree for larger nations). As what his "criteria" is to determine whether you "belong," I have no idea and I am beginning to have serious second thoughts about it.

  12. Looking for $3 million to help beat up some CnG scum (as well as build my nation up a bit). Thanks! :P
  13. Haha! I like the Equilibrium one, very nice :D
  14. This seems like a fair assessment.
  15. He seems to firmly believe that Competence's tech is hidden away in some impervious fort and all we are manage to hit are their infrastructure.
  16. Update for February 22, 2013 :: Day 35 The sudden rise is NS, nukes, and peace mode for Competence can be attributed to the addition of 3 alliances (EVU, Hooligans, and HB) into the Competence Coalition.
  17. O yes of course! Competence's war strategy and rhetoric has put an emphasis on the size and strength of their lower tiers from the beginning! :)
  18. Yeah. I was just explaining why I was mistaken. But you were right. The poly was not the best form. A log curve was. Thank you :)
  19. @Beets: Why are you arguing with me when I've already agreed with you? @Do Not Fear Jazz: I fully understand your graphs. You still have not explained how you came up with the idea that Equilibrium will eventually lose, you have not provided a list of alliances you believe will surrender on either side, and you have not provided any justification for the rise in NS for Competence's side despite being the middle of a war. And what is your point for me using Excel? Just because I don't want to make the graph by hand on Paint means I don't know what I am doing? You realize that I can create a pretty wide range of trendlines? And it still takes a pretty keen understanding of algeometry to decide which trendline to use? Whelp. I guess there goes another thread because of contentless spam...
  20. There isn't anyway it is wrong. A sextic curve will have an extremely high R squared value and should fit the actual data line almost exactly. A septic curve will be even better. But, like you said, the prediction value of these curves are astronomically ridiculous. A cubic poly still has a higher R squared value than a linear or log while maintaining a less ludicrous prediction result than a higher order curve. I've already admitted my fault in using the poly as opposed to a log, I just wanted to explain my reasoning behind it. A 3 order poly fits the actual data line better than a linear or log would.
  21. Considering, as of late, a bunch of you GOONS members have begun posting, I have to agree. This graph is very accurate.
  22. Yes I use excel to compile the data but I still fully understand how the graphs work lol. Unfortunately, it appears it is you who doesn't. I am not the one confused about what a poly trend is nor even about what discipline of math is used to determine these trends. If you are citing my confusion over whether to use a log trend or poly trend, then perhaps you know what the R squared value indicates when finding the trendline of a graph yes? A poly trend has a much higher R squared value (0.99...) compared to a log trend (0.96...) and therefore fits the data better. Of course, you being the math wizard you are, already knew that.
  23. And apparently, in time, the dumb rest of you will care too :)
