  1. Done. I also already have the Kingdom of Brazil (minus Cuba), Tokugawa Shogunate, and Avonia.

  3. So I've decided to go ahead and begin anew with the CNRP: Colonial. I'll only be acting in a lead capacity until someone else wants to take the lead, elected, etc. For now, let the claims begin! Rules for Claims: No protectorates, colonies, overseas territories, etc. Homeland must fit within your CN nation's area of influence. Population is based on your CN nation's population multiplied by 100. Military personnel may not exceed 15% of your modified population. Military cavalry may not exceed 5% of you modified population. Artillery may not exceed 5% of your military personnel population (or 0.75% of your modified population) Personnel and artillery being used for your navies must be included in these totals, and subtracted from your army totals. Any other rules the community wants to add via consensus. For whomever the cartographer will be (I'll gladly volunteer if no one else wants to), please use this map as the official CNRP:C map. Claims made in the other thread which meet the above criteria shall have priority over new ones made here. I will start the claim war, I claim Ireland in its entirety.
  4. Like many have already stated, you cannot do that.
  5. Well, an in-game population of 30,000 would only be allowed 4,500 soldiers, 1,500 cavalry and 225 cannons. You would need a population of 200,000 or more to have 1,500...something which is reasonable. And that is what I was meaning to say for the ships :P You can have as many as you want as long as you have the manpower to support it. And the more ships you have, the less manpower and artillery you will have on land. I think this is a good rule to have because it severely limits the number of ships a smaller country can have. For example, in my factbook, I really cannot imagine my navy becoming too much larger without severely weakening my army. My 15 ship navy employs nearly 10,000 men and 1,200+ guns (of varying size, but it is still a massive number nonetheless).
  6. I remember years ago when a bunch of us RPed in the Kaiser Martens RP. Those were the days...
  7. I have sent most of you the link to the new game if you all want to start a new community there.
  8. Honestly, even if you were to put it back, I have no idea how you expect to defend that territory. Same with Tom Riddle's Florida. There is no Suez Canal and no Panama Canal. If your Vietnam is attacked, it would take months just for the news to reach your homeland. And many more months for you to send an army to defend. Following the population rules set forth in this thread, your population is only 4 million. That is barely enough for your territory in Europe, nevermind for a colony in Vietnam as well. If it were up to me, I would drop all non-RP, pre-claimed protectorates. That is the whole point of this RP right? To colonize?
  9. Which is why you PMed me telling me to stop making a "fake Colonial RP" and that I didn't have "permission from the Founders" to do what I was doing. And if you aren't a founder, then what are you complaining about? And on the note of making maps, please use a different program. Compare the maps you made with the ones I made...there is a big difference. Gimp is a free program that is kind of like a retarded photoshop. That should be good enough to make a decent map.
  10. lmao you're joking right? You and Tom created some of the most unfair, ridiculous land claim rules I have ever come across in my more than 5 years of roleplaying here and on other RP sites (like KMRP), the vast majority of the people signing up were complaining about said rules and processes, and after receiving a few PMs from other experienced members about them losing interest in the RP, we (the players) reached a consensus of what the rules should instead be for a CNRP and I took the initiative to fix the map and land claims to match the new rules (which took into account SoI, instead of whatever criteria you and Tom were using). If anything, the changes kept your roleplay alive and you should be thanking me. I, for one, wasn't about to stick around an RP that denied land claims on the simple fact that it is larger than the "founder's" nation (the "founder," btw, has an SoI smaller than Rhode Island yet managed to claim half of Russia, Alaska, the Arabian Peninsula, and Florida and wouldn't allow anyone claim even close to that even if their SoI allowed it). And I can almost guarantee that the rest of the players would not have stuck around either. Being the "founder" of an RP doesn't mean you can have this attitude of "do it my way or get out." If you are serious about building a community (like CNRP is), you must take into consideration the players' wants and needs. And that's something, until I began redoing your travesty of a map, you and Tom were far from doing. And, for the record, no. It is not against the rules. It is often looked down upon and could be considered rude, but not against the rules. Considering the other players seem pretty content with my changes, maybe you and Tom should consider implementing them. And as far as I see it, you have 3 choices: Suck it up and make the changes the players want Make another RP (it really isn't too hard to remake a thread) with the same concept and see which RP has more followers Give up
  11. Be my guest. I was starting to run out of colors, anyhow :P
  12. So here are some ideas for military regulation: Soldier count cannot be greater than 15% of population Cavalry count cannot be greater than 5% of population Cannon/artillery count cannot be greater than 5% of soldier count You may have as many ships as your nation and military manpower can afford (a ship of the line may carry close to 850 men)

  14. I've decided not to grandfather in any of the claims. I was looking at the land and the areas that are too big for SoI (i.e. Dark Mark) are only able to support the population allowed by the rules. As for the claims in Mexico, New Mexico is already twice as large and his nation allows. Mexico, for me, is just too huge a claim. You are correct. I'll repair it as soon as possible. I guess I'll start RPing there. Will the mods sticky the new map in there or what? And is it going to be in the National RP or Fantasy RP?
  15. ^this. Call of Duty is pretty bad if you're older than 15.
  16. But now I have a question; Where are we going to RP it? I've already come up with an idea but no body seems to want that :(( So what do we do?
  17. Updated Map: Changed map file Added the Kingdom of Mamasemamasamaamakusa Added the Indonesian Kingdom Changed colors to a difference shade per country...beginning to run low on shades Decided to keep subdivision lines intact to make editing changes in territory easier in the future Direct Link
  18. Both of you areas of influence are too small for these claims. @Thugnation: I can give you Greenland or a single Canadian territory. @Frogman: I can give you New Mexico at most. Or any state in Mexico.
  19. I'll get on the old claims. Have we agreed on the current standards for claims? (For those who have already claimed, they may by pass these rules). I have also update the world population.
  20. Revised Map: Removed Dark Mark protectorates in Florida and Arabia Gave Dark Mark territory in Manchuria to New Tryunica Removed Republics of America territory in Great Britain Expanded the New Soviet Republic southward and into Finland World Populations: Alvonia: 11,057,100 Austrica: 954,500 The Can: 9,084,600 Dark Mark: 68,600 Ingeria: 4,207,500 Kingdom of Brazil: 26,687,100 New Soviet Republic: 3,502,100 Republics of America: 9,909,600 Second Qi: 3,995,000 South Asian Empire: 3,739,000 Tokugawa Shogunate (New Triyunica): 23,615,100
  21. May I suggest the following criteria for claims: Initial land claimed must be equal or less than CN nation (rough estimate) Population of CNRP nation is the population of CN nation multiplied by 100. You may not have more than 20% of your population in your armed forces without facing steep economic consequences.
