  1. A color is haunting Planet Bob - the color of Orange! All the other colors of Planet Bob have entered into a holy alliance to defeat this color: Red and Yellow, Pink and Maroon, White and Black, Aqua and Brown, Green and Blue.

ORANGERS OF PLANET BOB UNITE!!! TOO VICTORY!!!

    I see your communist subtext!

  2. In an IC sense, ZI/perma-ZI can be viewed in a multitude of different ways. Because loss of infrastructure is a natural result of losing soldiers in a defensive battle, the citizens lost therein can just as easily be seen as collateral damage instead of victims of a "genocide".

Perma-ZI can be seen as quashing rebellion in a conquered territory. When the locals try to start new settlements to raise their own army (buying infra, soldiers), you walk in (or fly in in the case of CMs and aircraft) and say "no".

Genocide is your personal view in a world where IC beliefs are as varied as can be imagined. Thus, there is absolutely no reason for the rest of us to follow your own interpretation of what these pixels and numbers mean.

Edit: Nintenderek, no one is trying to be in-character in this thread. We are merely discussing the IC implications of certain actions, in an OOC fashion.

  3. In my own view, perma-ZI is the proper punishment for OOC attacks and spying. Beyond that, ZI has always been enough.

However, as I don't really intend on landing on a perma-ZI list, I could care less.

  4. lol of course you don't, they were single-handedly responsible for your victory in the Unjust War.

TPF's entire participation was a joke and, quite frankly, is an insult to anyone who supported the UjP

I was not aware TPF was responsible for OOC attacks by GOONS.

  5. Dude, we attacked Polar during The Unjust War...and it's safe to say you don't hate us. Hell, our MoD JBone had an epic (yet fun) battle with Electron Sponge...and there's nothing but respect there.

TPF harbors no resentment towards anyone we fought against during UJP and I'd hope we've moved beyond that by now. Hell, we treatied Sparta 2 weeks after the war and Polar shortly thereafter.

As for Valhalla, I think with the noWedge era gone everyone should give them a chance.

    As for the list:

    The Phoenix Federation

    Everyone else

What can I say, I'm biased.

I can expand on my opinions (some of which I believe are held by my comrades) in PM if you like; as it is, I think we're all better off if I didn't post them here.

  6. Different type of governments, cultures and other alignments between the signatories. BLEU is filled with great people, they're unified by being in the blue sphere so they have that common goal of unity and peace in the blue sphere to work towards. But they're not all ideologically and culturally on the exact same page.

    Edit:

(You're right though, it was incorrect. There are other examples of blocs with natural alignment.)

BLEU is about as close to natural alignment as you will get.

  7. Reading over that old thread and comparing it to today, it's funny the number of people now who feel like they have preface or qualify their list out of fear that someone might be offended.

    ....

Note: If you are at or near the bottom of this list, cheer up. Could be next week the order changes for no particular reason. :awesome:

    Hmmm....

  8. i did not mention anyone by name.

However, since you have brought up his name, i've yet to see him defend his accusations convincingly in these forums. Although to be fair, i generally don't hang out in the OWF unless i'm checking on what ever new treaty or war has been declared.

You were responding to Ephriam, who was talking to Comrade Penchuk.

  9. it's not worth trying Eph.

Some people are blinded by ignorance and hate, and in the medium of a forum, you can't convince them that they're mistaken.

Comrade Penchuk clearly cannot have any reasoning behind his opinion, but instead is "blinded by hate and ignorance".

    Right?

    (edited for rewording)

  10. They are? Where does it say that?

It was a rule on the old forums, though it evidently either wasn't reposted here or has been unpinned. It doesn't seem to be in the Forum Rules thread either.
