  1. Polaris is not seeking to join Agora at this time for reasons which will largely remain our own. It should be noted however, we have our own treaties on Blue along with a few others including one with the NPO. I fail to see the need to have redundancy with a lower level treaty with them. We have no treaties with most Agora alliances, nor do we seek them, desire them or need them. I am sure if I want to sell tech to the NPO, I will not need to be a member of Agora. As far as economics go, we are doing okay according to the latest statistics, I am not sure what value there is in Agora for us economically. As far as the matter of rejection, Polaris has never applied to join, however as Triyun rightly points out, we have been both invited and given positive indications as to our acceptance. We have never put it to the test and therefore arguments to that end are largely hypothetical. As Penguin says however, it has been made abundantly clear via numerous sources that not all of our treaty partners will be accepted if they apply. There is no blue unity without Polaris and her friends, we can not be ignored or dismissed as irrelevant to blue unity. The notion of working together and not disrupting the bloc is a valid point from Agora, and so we shall not interrupt their arrangements with our presence. People have to respect their stance, whether you believe it is valid or not, the bloc members should have some say over who enters their bloc. Polaris is not, nor will we ever be under my leadership, anti-Agora. They are free to do whatever it is that makes them the happiest, whilst we are free to do whatever we believe to be right for us. As to questions of the NPO's involvement, they are simple to answer and even blind freddy could see why their expertise in organization and management would be a major asset to a virgin bloc trying to find its way without many of the acknowledged Blue alliances participating. They are assisting their 1V partners and I fail to see how that is not a sensible thing for the MCXA and Echelon. For the smaller alliances joining, I can see the direct benefit to them.
  2. The New Polar Order applauds the transparency shown by the STA in this difficult matter. Well done Tyga, your integrity again shines. Spies indeed have no part in life of respectable alliances. o/ STA
  3. Brrds and Lions can be best of friends A Mutual Defense and Optional Aggression Pact Preamble: In consideration of the long and powerful friendship between Genesis and the New Polar Order, we hereby reaffirm relationship between our alliances. Article I: Nonaggression Both signatories will hereafter refrain from any form of hostile activity, hereafter defined as military force, internal subversion or espionage of any kind, against the other. Article II: Conduct Signatories of this pact pledge to show only respect and good will towards each other. While this will prohibit outright verbal hostility in all its forms, it will not restrict healthy debate or productive disagreement. Article III: Mutual Defense In the case of an attack upon one of the signatories it will be considered an attack on both. Should one of the signatories become involved in a defensive war the other alliance will set forth all means possible to help the defending signatory; including but not limited to, political support, financial aid and military intervention. If a signatory goes to war due to another treaty obligation, then Military Assistance becomes optional and falls under the rules of Article IV. Article IV: Mutual Aggression Any signatory will still be free to wage wars of aggression, and can if such a war should take place, request assistance from the other signatory. The assistance can be in the form of political, financial or military aid, but also includes aid in any other form that the signatories deem appropriate for the conflict. Should either party choose to engage in an offensive war, they are obligated to give the other party at least 48 hours notice. Article V: Assistance Should either signatory come into need of aid of either political or financial aid, they may request such support as is necessary from the other signatory. It is recognized, however, that this request is in no way an obligation. Article VI: Intelligence Should vital knowledge of a political or military nature come to the attention of one signatory, they are required to share it with the other. Article VII: Cancellation It is the hope of both signatories that this pact may last forever, or until the bond it represents grows to the point where an upgrade is merited. Given the uncertainties of the future, however, it is recognized that should any of the above Articles be violated, or should some major irreparable disagreement arise, that this pact maybe canceled after 5 days notice. 6. The NAAC entered the war to defend GATO, a decision I hated at the time, but one we were bound to because I hadn't canceled our treaty when I had both the motivation and reason to do so. When GATO surrendered without discussing it with me, I canceled our treaty as a symbolic gesture even though we were disbanding. The NPO did not offer terms to the NAAC, the terms were offered by Electron Sponge, who knew we had already made the decision to disband. That decision was made very early into the war. Arctic and I, along with many others, knew that the NAAC would not get another chance to fight a war in the manner we wished to, the gap was growing larger every time we stepped up to fight for an ally, so we left rather than become irrelevant like GATO and Legion are today. The terms offered had nothing to do with us disbanding, however the stupid terms were never going to be accepted either. Moving an alliance to pink...c'mon. I read with interest in the OP regarding Legions leadership being assumed by Aegis. I nearly wet myself. The arrogance of Legion, their condescending nature and their assertion at the time that they were the leader despite the fact they couldn't oganize a chook raffle was one of the reasons I knew I was not continuing with that side of the web post war. I have never seen so much rubbish spoken in my life as VL in that era, apart from Walford in GW2. A pair of arrogant idiots who should have never been allowed control of the cookie jar let alone their alliances fate permanently screwed their alliances with their idiotic assertions of superiority. I am always interested in recollections from this era, please keep them coming. It was the golden age for this game IMO.
  7. Agreed, wonders are on a schedule from the time you buy the first one. Buy the first one at 3999 and buy one every 30 days. They take time to pay themselves off, but this is a long term game.
  8. Reading the update logs can reveal much. A few simple clicks and all the new information is at hand. Try it, you will like it.

  13. The process has slowed considerably. Mine took a full 5 days from the time of paying via Paypal to the time it arrived. It seems to be a function of Paypal rather than CN though, all my paypal payments are now taking a lot longer.
