100 days ago, several friends and friends of friends joined together to form a bond stronger than no other. We named this bond the Family. During that 100 days we have seen our up and downs but like the typical family we are still around. To celebrate this momentous occasion we would like to announce that we have achieved over 1,000,000 in total Nation Strength and a score of 4.05. We achieved this milestone in exactly 100 days. Many on Planet Bob did not think we would survive our less than perfect beginnings (you know who you are). It is a testament to my government and the fine members of the Family. Additionally, there have been some changes in our government. Thank you to all that have supported us, especially our fine allies in Mostly Harmless Alliance and Nordreich, and our friends in The Order of the Paradox and Kronos. To set the record straight. The Family was never a protectorate we started out with treaties with MHA and Sparta.

On October 29, 2009 the Family informed Sparta of our decision to cancel our treaty. The cancellation period of 72 hours has expired. Reasons were given in private channels. However, I know that enquiring minds will want to know therefore, the reasons are lack of communication, separate Foreign Affairs goals, and the initiators of the treaty are no longer members of their respective alliances and no one from either side stepped up to keep it alive. The Dead Horse in Our Bed Treaty The Imperial Order was unsure of our offer of a treaty. However, their horse was able to convince them otherwise. Therefore, the following treaty is announced between The Family and The Imperial Order. Article I: Nonaggression Both signatories will hereafter refrain from any form of hostile activity. No more persuasion is needed so no hits will be ordered. Article II: Conduct Signatories of this pact pledge to share cigars, vodka, and show respect towards each other. Article III: Assistance If an assassination attempt is made on either signatory they may request financial, political or military assistance. The assistance is required and will be given cheerfully. Article IV: Intelligence If either signatory obtains information through their informants, they are required to share it with the other. Article V: Cancellation Plans are never made to end relationships. However, friends sometimes drift apart. If this happens this pact may be canceled after a 72 hours notice. Article VI: Non Chaining Should either signatory find themselves under attack due to an aggressive war which they launched, or due to the activation of another treaty with a third party, the opposite signatory of this treaty is no longer obligated to provide aid or support.
