1. On the 23rd, I received a message stating that one of my trade partners had deleted. The problem is that the guy never was my trade partner and I never lost any connected resources or bonus resources. Message as received:
To: Ouchneddnesscooooo From: Moderation Team Date: 9/23/2012 10:30:01 PM Subject: Trade Canceled Message: ZetaProj has been removed from the game because of 25 days inactivity. The trade offer agreement between you and ZetaProj has been automatically canceled.
I still have my original trade partners, all of whom have been trading with me for at least 55 days. What this means is that you are sure to get a quick boost in nation growth through tech deals. It is very possible for you to have a nation sitting at 3999 infra in less than 90 days. So, if you desire a neutral way of life and want some good nation growth to boot, apply for membership. On GPA's forum, my name is Ouchneddnesscooooo. Most peeps call me Ouch for short. 4. One thing I like to do with my sellers is to watch their nation and offer advice where applicable if I see an area of improvement. So you not only get some cash, but a bit of advice if needed. From, XGF

I see your slots are full. I still need sellers, but I am no longer doing deals at the 3mil/50 rate. Any deals from this point on will be the standard 3mil/50/50 rate. If you are an established new nation that is dependable, send me a message in game. I'm only interested in long term sellers. Basically, I want to buy tech from you until you are ready to become a buyer yourself. From, XGF

Your deal will be the last of the 3mil/50 tech deals. All others will be at regular rate. -XGF
 7. Straphouse cancelled. Two more slots remain for the 3mil/50 rate
 8. I still have one slot open at the rate of 3mil/50 tech. Sign up! From, Ouch
 9.
Count me in for the 3/50 and i'll also be a long term seller i'm a nation only started today
10. I'll do three deals at the rate of 3mil/50, only to the first three sellers who reply. The rules for this forum indicate that I may only bump my own stand to the top if something has changed, and so my rates have changed for the first three sellers who reply. Also, for those first three sellers, I'll throw in an extra 3mil when 3 consecutive deals are completed. -XGF
 11. I am looking for 6 long term tech sellers. My period of inactivity has come to an end, enough so that I may look into my nations economical affairs rather than appointing an advisor. If you can't sell tech long term, I'll still trade with you if you can at least do three full deals. 14. Ok new nations, I'm here today not to say 'bump', but to engage your own personal interest in your nation. So, I have two questions for you: 1) This question is blunt, and right in your face... What do you plan to do with your nation? 2) What do you NOT plan to with your nation? If you feel like answering, shoot me a private message. I'd like to discuss your ambitions with you to see if they fit the ambitions of Ronin, and if Ronin's ambitions are a match for you. /end bump From, XGF
 15.
I'll add a quick point. If you're serious about growing in the long term, you will want to start your wonder buying as soon as is feasible and *never* stop buying wonders. I got my first wonder at ~35 days, and although it might slow me down initially compared to those who pour everything into infra, in the long run you'll "always" have 1-2 more wonders than someone who created at the same time you did. My stats (at 58 days now): 3,350 infra 50 tech (still selling tech) 1 wonder (2 in 10 days time)
Good deal sir. Nice to see a nation take that initiative, you will reap the rewards of your labor ahead of your peers. To those wondering about when to start buying wonders, 3999 infra is a general rule of transisiton for wonder purchase and tech buying. Lately, it's been told to new nations that they should wait on these things. Don't cater to the wills of those bigger than you. Actually, become big yourself. The only way to do it is buy tech. Stop debating if it's time, and just do it. From, XGF
 16.
Wanted to thank everyone for all the replies. I ended up deleting my nation. I created a new nation yet I received fish and wheat and I wasn't thrilled at all. Now I have to wait five days which is I think is long but I am ok with it. The resources in my inexperienced CN mind I am thinking of best is rubber, iron, lumber, coal, marble, aluminum. Just because of the minus to infrastructure. Then again I thought lead was a great resource. I really do like the resource calculator tool. After I find my desired resources I will end up joining an alliance that my friend is already in.
Do not delete your new nation. lol You rolled into very very good resources, both being pop boosters and desirable for type a / 3br rings. Keep the nation, I beg of you! If you work it right, you'll be in a ring and never have to worry about trades for a very long time. EDIT: I did not see your very last reply. I was so excited when I saw fish and wheat, that I just could not wait to read them all! Glad to hear your keeping your nation. Now, find yourself an alliance. -XGF
 17. I would say 'bump', but, it's so tasteless! New nations, my name is Xyro Gravi Flatona. I've been in this game for a while and have had a lot of fun. I can't promise you the same experiences, or the same personal triumphs I've had in my nation. But what I can tell you is that Ronin is made up of a solid membership. I have a lot of respect for my fellow alliance mates. If you do join, I will do my best to assist you in your nation's growth, as will other Ronin members. From, XGF /end bump.
 18. Your resources are not the best, but on the other note, they are not the worst. I know nations in this game who are growing with less desirable resources. From what you have told us here, I feel compelled to offer a few pointers: 1) When accepting trade agreements from other nations, make sure they are on the same team as you. Also, get familiar with the Resource Calculator Tool. You can use this to figure out how bonus resources are formed. More importantly, you can use it to see what another nation's resources will do for you. 2) Never, never accept trade requests if you already have either of the resources that they are offering. As noted already by others in this thread, having multiple instances of the same resource do no good. They do not 'stack'. 3) Join an alliance! Read all the recruitment messages that have been sent to you. Do not jump on the offers promise you money for joining, but don't dismiss them altogether. You have plenty of time to start receiving aid. Don't let that be the motivating factor for joining an alliance. A good place to look for alliances is in the Player Created Alliances forum. The aforementioned forum is specifically for recruiting nations who are not already in an alliance, or for those who are planning to make a move in the future. Much information is packed there. Find an alliance the you agree with. You want to join one that matches your ideas, not one that 'buys' your membership. Summary: Your a new nation. If you don't decide to reroll for better impros, then here are your priorities: 1)Join an alliance 2)Seek trades, with the help of your alliance 3)Seek out tech deals, with the help of your alliance 4)Learn how to nation build, with the help of your alliance I hope that this and all other replies are of help to you. from, XGF
 19. I agree with a lot of the points here. With my own nation, I reached 3999 infra within 90 days, but it took work. Lots of management. If you manage your nation in conjunction with joining a reputable alliance, you will pass other players who created the same time you did. If you keep up with your nation on a constant basis, without any lapses, you will pass other nations who created before you. I do want to point out though that once you become a tech buyer, it's crucial that you begin saving a war chest. Instead of blowing your reserves to purchase infra on each collection, save some of it. But don't stop buying infra altogether. Some of the wonders that you should own can't be obtained until you reach a high level of infra. Keep the aid slots full.... constantly. If you can find buyers who will pay 3mil for only 50 tech, do so. Myself, I still have no problem finding sellers who will do 3m/50/50 deals. I imagine that you won't have any problem getting 100 tech for your 3mil once you become a buyer also. Some teams have a central forum that deals with the formation of trade rings and provide a central place to find tech deals. Seek out such forums once you do create and select your team. I'm not going to name any names, but there are more than enough alliances to join. Some of these never get into war. If you are seeking maximum nation growth without the slowdown of war, seek out such an alliance. If you don't mind war, then there are more than enough reputable alliances out there to fit the bill. Most of which offer growth programs. Don't let the fact that there are very large nations get in the way of your decision to join or not join. We want you here, in the game. Kind regards from, XGF
 20.
Thank you so much for the support, my friend. Very classy. I should point out, though, that while this step in foreign policy for the GOP has been a dream of mine for some time - it was our current Triumvir of Foreign Affairs, Willij, who managed to get the legislation passed. I just want to make sure he gets his proper credit as well
I'm sure that you had your fair share of work in it, Roo, but duly noted. Wilij, if your watching this, please send me a pm. I'd like to speak with you. Also, Congrats on your efforts. Very noble indeed! I'm glad to see that you got a move like this passed. From, XGF
 21.
Intersting, good luck GOP. Also what are you going to define as attack? For instance: What if someone goes NSO on the nuetrals and sends recruitment messages. Will you consider that an attack on sovereignty?
I was GPA's MoFA at that time when NSO sent out their recruitment messages. I can't discuss what plans GPA had for a response if a resolution to the problem was not reached, but can say that I was there personally to see resolution in private channels. IMO, any alliance should consider it an attack if another alliance directly recruits from their ranks. But also, I believe such things can be solved in private. UNLESS the instigating alliance keeps doing the same thing over and over despite diplomatic attempts to resolve the matter. At that point, it's a different story.
Interesting...kudos for doing something different. Are there any past circumstances (even prior to GOP's formation) which, viewed through the lens of this policy, would have resulted in its invocation had it been in place?

The closest, to my mind, would be the wide-ranged attack on the GPA two years ago, as it seemed to me - personally (having been in that alliance at the time) - that it was being attacked simply because it was Neutral, #1 and had no one to come to its aid. Though, there were a litany of diplomatic/political grievances (albeit flaccidly defended ones IMO) listed within the CB... so I can't say for certain how we would have responded. I seem to recall, in my fuzzier memories, some smaller alliances being bullied on or off of color spheres in the ancient past. If this kind of thing happened to a Green alliance, we would likely respond. I think that's the best I can do, but I'm sort of an OWF recluse from time to time, so maybe someone else in the GOP can offer some better anecdotes...
I'm sure that GOP did not intend this new charter update and DoN update to target any specific instance. But, they did state specifically in both that they reserve the right to define what is an attack on their sovereignty. GOP is level headed and cool in their relations with other alliances. I've worked with Roo personally in the past and can vouch for his words.
Interesting move. However does this mean you would attack alliance who hold different philosophies than you, such as the NSO, that are in opposition to conservatism? And since ours is very anti-conservatism the only way to hurt our philosophy is by spreading a contrarian one yes? And defending green does that mean you'll put VE down?
I think the specific changes are clear in that GOP will not be declaring war on alliances who do not hold to their own values, but rather, those who ATTACK their values. It's also clear that they retain the right to defend their shared values if an alliance who is similar come under attack unjustly. As for your question about defending green and specifically stating the 'putting down' of VE, it makes no sense. VE has been a strong contributor to the green team for a very long time.
Excuse me?
Ditto. On my past, to prove the relevance of my reply: I joined GPA in Dec. of 07 and fought in the WoP. While that first nation is no more, I built the second nation with the exact nation and ruler name and kept it in the Agency up till April of 2010. I served as GPA's MoFA for multiple terms, probably over a years worth of service. I was their MoFA when NSO actively recruited directly from their ranks, even receive a message myself. About a month after the NSO recruitment fiasco come to a close, I proposed new changes within the Agency that would have seen a new charter and DoN. The changes were specific. If they had passed, the Agency today would have the right to do the exact thing that GOP is doing today. The specific change to the DoN was in the introduction stating that the GPA has the right to defend against any attack on neutrality. The proposed change was shot down because people on the outside would demand a definition of neutrality, and people on the inside thought that 'an attack' was to broad of a statement. I for one have been eager to see such a policy adopted by one of the neutrals and congratulate GOP on such a move. It is noble and right. I worked with Roo in the Agency when he was their MoD and was tasked with the monitoring of GPA nations to make sure they were compliant with the specific military terms of the peace treaty between GPA and the Continuum. Basically, what I wanted to see the Agency adopt was a 'Do not tread on us' policy. It appears my friend, Roo, in GOP, has done so first. GPA, take a look at how this policy was received for GOP, then re-consider your own stance. You know I love you guys. Always will. It's ok to defend your way of life. /o GOP Very noble move indeed. Much respect from me. Regards from, XGF
 22.
On behalf of the SOS Brigade, I'd like to apologize for Itsuki's behavior. He clearly doesn't speak for the alliance. I would like that you place a ban on his host mask and would like to start over.
Thank you for coming to speak. Sure, we start over. I never intended for anyone to be left out of this. If you want to send someone who you trust, then by all means, I'll grant them power in the room. From, XGF
 23. Sos, you are allowed in the channel. But, with reservation. One of your members referred to a blow job in the channel conversation, within 20 minutes of it's inception. I've removed any existing operator statuses, but, I've not banned anyone. Your welcome to come and contribute to any economical conversation that happens in the channel. From, XGF
 24. SoS, don't send any more representitaves, you guys have lost your right to participate in the channel, talking about &*&^ and what not. Do not come back. It's a channel for new players and existing players who need a little help. It's not a sex channel. Matter of face, you all stay out. That's right, the entire alliance, stay out. You are denied.
