Labrador is a republic based on the westminster system. We are a rather conservative and are simply wanting to engage in diplomatic exchange with our neighbors. We would receive protection and as our strength grows we will always remain loyal.

The Nation of labrador didnt really answer how it benefits both parties, just his own.
Loyalty doesnt mean anything unless you can back it up in one form or another if the CAN requires it.

What are Labradors plans in regards to its military, and what are your plans regarding the Hudson Bay?

We can back up our loyalty if CAN requires it. Should we be called on to defend a CAN ally we will gladly do so. Also, Labrador has abundant natural resources, which means an economic union with us would make those resources rather cheap and CAN nations the primary export locations.

As for our military plans, we simply wish to strengthen ourselves to better protect our land. As far as the Hudson Bay, the only ambitions we have there are trade with the nations across it. I'm not sure what you mean by our plans there. If you think we plan to expand there, that would be false, we have no territorial ambitions in the Hudson Bay, or anywhere for that matter.

Ah you misunderstood my question regarding the Hudson, your nation lies astride the main entrance to be bay, giving you 25% territorial control of the passage, with the remaining 25% under CAN control, the center 50% is international waters.

Moreover, the C.A.N itself is a large bloc which includes economic ties between member nations.

There is also the Hundson Bay Maritime Institute, which was based in the Imperium of Canada, but got destroyed in a nuclear attack on my Nation, and so fell into decline.
http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=80993

Here is the manefesto for the group, which by the way is purley an ecological group for the preservation of the Bay.
Secondly, there was The Hudson Joint Military Naval Operations Initiative (HJMNOI) which was the armed section of the HBMI, concentrated on anti piracy, search and rescue, etc etc, throughout the Hudson Bay.

If you wish to join this bloc, the Imperium is currently reorganising itself burocraticly, so when we are done we will be bringing the HBMI back out of retirment and decline.

Apart from that, welcome to the C.A.N.

The undersigned nations- Disparu, Eggman Empire, Cyneriice Northan, and the Federal Republic of Grøenlandia (hereby known as Grøenlandia) – are sovereign independent entities who sign this pact to ensure peace, justice, well-being, and security for the mutual betterment of the respective signatories.
A man wearing a navy blue cape, suit and hat would silently enter the debate chamber and approach the Disparuean representative. The man made no hint of introducing himself, but since he managed to get into the chamber, he was apparently an authorized official from one of the member/observer nations. The man had a mysterious yet familiar air around him, and those who were observant enough would notice that the man had previously been here before, though they wouldn't be able to pinpoint who exactly he was.

The man would talk to the Disparuean representative in a low voice, and would hand him a scroll sealed by an elegant and familiar coat of arms. The representative opened the scroll and quickly read it. He nodded at the man and handed the scroll back to him. The man nodded back, then immediately left the debate chamber.

The representative then spoke up. "We will be changing our vote on Labrador."

The Imperium would like to know what was on the piece of paper that required an illegal change of vote.

Your lot was cast, and you cannot change it, that is NOT how a democratic vote works.
"The scroll contained an official mandate from the Executive Council of Disparu regarding the vote on Labrador. I had talked to them earlier about it, and they asked me to change the vote.

This isn't a general election, so it is quite possible to change what we want to vote for. If I correctly remember, this has been done in the past. Plus, there isn't anything in the Charter against this."

Should we have a few wargames to train our military forces? Here is what I was thinking:

In the air::

-Firing range (bomber jets): Which aircraft can destroy as much targets as possible while under a time limit? Accuracy will also count.

-Firing range (helicopters): Which helicopter can destroy as much targets as possible while under a time limit? Accuracy will also count.

-Dog fighting (includes jet fighters and helicopters): Fighter aircraft use harmless paint-filled plastic shells and paint missiles. The shells and missiles are not to damage the aircraft. The more enemy aircraft hit and the least amount of hits taken is the winner.

-Aerobatic: Who are the most skillful in showing off their maneuverability abilities?
---------------------
On/In the water:

-Firing range: Which ship can destroy as much targets as possible while under a time limit? Accuracy will also count.

-Battle: Which naval vessel receives the least amount of damages while inflicting the most amount on enemy ships? (All naval vessels will have secondary plastic covering over their hull with space in between). Only ammunition that can not inflict harm on the naval vessels can be used.
----------------------
On the land:

-Sharpshooting: Who can shoot the most amount of targets under a time limit.
--------
Last game:

Total warfare: Aircraft, naval vessels, and ground forces all compete against each other. The one who captured the most amount of targets and hold onto them wins.
-----------
Separate prizes will also be given for other goals accomplished, such as taking the least amount of casualties.

A MESSAGE FROM THE AETHER EMPIRE

To the Confederacy of Arctic Nations:

This is a formal request of recognition from the AEWDO, otherwise known as the former Aether Empire. That is, we request that CAN and the world in general be aware that we wish to precipitate the construction of a sovereign nation here within the Arctic Circle. The former members of the Aether Empire have long searched for a new place to call home around the world; we have long been in diaspora since the destruction of our homeland so many years ago, but only now are we called together by the great prophecy: the rumored return of our great leader, Zarfef. History has chosen this moment as it's key point of transformation, and here is where we will call home. Current efforts are under-way as we speak to create a national political system and to stabilize these northern lands. In order to help maintain a peaceful transition, we request the removal of CAN soldiers and weapons as diplomatic means will be a better way to work with us.

Already, we have gained one supporting major industry which wishes to aid in our nations growth, Tensor Technological Industries. With Tensor's generous aid in accordance with it's past White Cross support, we will soon have major international stock investments to improve and bring new trade to the Arctic Circle and a national Social Security Act to insure the welfare of the elderly of this great nation. With the possibility of adapting technologies from the old Raochin Empire, we are also considering the construction of a national under-ice free-way system using ice in a similar means to how Raochin used sand. But the current status of this land, a "third world back-water land" will soon be a thing of the past as we forge ahead to a bright new day in the land of the midnight sun.

As we speak, our organization has already invested a great deal of effort into the reconstruction of this land. Work has been done on rebuilding a national hospital system, clinics for help the sick and aiding in drug and alcoholism prevention and a school and university system. A great deal of effort has gone into this effort and the soldiers of the Aether Empire are ready to come back to the service of our great leader, not to fight, but to rebuild a great nation here within the arctic ice. Please help support the people of this area by removing your interference and respecting our national borders. We hope to build a strong national relationship with all of you.

Thank you,
Dante Affinity ^_^
-Standing ruler of the Aether Empire until the return of Zarfef
