I. Whereas the Republic of Tahoe and Xaristan understand that both nations have the best interests of North America in mind,

II. Whereas both nations are committed to maintaining North America's sovereignty and independence from foreign influence, especially from the Dragon Empire,

III. Both nations enter into this Mutual Defense and Optional Aggression Pact.

IV. Should either nation be attacked, the other will do everything they can, militarilly, diplomatically, and economically, in the defense of the other.

V. Should either nation go to war, the other is encouraged, though not required, to assist the other through military, economic, or diplomatic means.

VI. Both nations agree to freer travel and trade through both countried.

Signed,

For the Republic of Tahoe,

President Sean O'Deaghaidh

Prime Minister Kieran Kelly

Foreign Minister Darragh McDonald

For Xaristan,

Louis Egon, Director

We are rather alarmed that there are two military giants that could - and can - crush us at any time. We feel that our safety has been strongly threatened. Can we get confirmation that this treaty will not result in war against us?

Satellite has been retrained on North America. Patrols escorted by armor are now making sure that there is no aggression from Xaristan or Tahoe.

We would suggest you re-read the treaty. Tahoe and Xaristan have long maintained a friendship, this is simply putting it down on paper, as a deterrant from foreign influence and aggression. Xaristan has never instigated unwarrented agression in the Americas. We have no problems with your nation, and suspect that neither does Tahoe. We feel your response is mere paranoia. If you have no reason to have something to fear, then you have nothing to fear.

Thank you. The Couter-force can be met in the Oklahoma Natl. Airport.

Missiles prepped, linking direct control over to your command centers. We are prep-deploying the 3rd Krieg Army, consiting of ~10,000 men and 150 Armor. We also have the 1st and 2nd Krieg Armies which consist of roughly the same numbers, however the 1st Krieg Army is distrubted through out Antarctica and Krieg, and the 2nd Krieg Army is strictly for Krieg Homeland deployment.

Well, considering we have a defense pact with a European nation, it is safe to assume that if said treaty partner does something either of you find in violation of this treaty, who's going to be the first to be attacked? Us. We can't guaruntee what Kreig does that you find in violation of this treaty, so if you two are set off, then we'll be on the short end of the stick.

In violation of this treaty? Are you daft? The only violation of this treaty would be if either Xaristan or Tahoe did not defend the other. The pact says we will work together to prevent foreign influence and aggression in North America, but says nothing about attacking nations who have treaties with European nations. Again, your actions are the height of paranoia.

Be aware, however, domestic or foreign actions taken in North America seen as agressive against either Tahoe or Xaristan will be met with swift and devastating retribution.

OOC: Kreig, how are you planning on getting them their? Either way I will know they are coming and you would never be allowed to pass between Florida and Cuba with ships.

OOC: You're planning on transferring a 10,000 man army by plane? Good luck with that not being noticed. And who said we were starting a war? This was a MDoAP between Tahoe and Xaristan, not a declaration of anything else. You people are paranoid beyond belief.

OOC: Lol, no offense Krieg, but considering the size of your nation, you can't afford to send almost half of your army overseas. Mobilizing such a high proportion of your army is expensive and causes a significant dent in your labor force. Just saying since you "mobilize and deploy" really often.

IC: We congratulate our allies in achieving a treaty.

OOC: Once again It was only in case that Reeki was attacked, and I would be compeled to help him with out MDP. OOCly I really dont have a problem with Prav or Mudd, i just had to ICly offer support to Reeki

"This is further proof that that the Tahoe Republic seeks to dominate the continent through military force. Two military alliances in such a short period of time only tells the CFNA that the Tahoe Republic either has something to fear, or that It's preparing for another military adventure in North America."

"Do not be so naive. In response to simple protests they've created two military alliances and have engaged in a military build up along the Mexican border. Why is it that no nation thinks Tahoe can do no wrong when their actions state otherwise?"

Your definition of unwarranted is different than that of other nations, then. Don not bother responding to this message.

No paranoia on the American continent? We must have misread the headlines over the last few years.

"Nowhere as much paranoia as in Europe, mind you. While the fall of Canada destabilized the continent considerably, no nation in America must fear its neighbours, unless it follows a belligerent path."

Show us where we have started unwarrented aggression. Don't go making claims without the basis to back them up.

OOC: And yours aren;t? :P

OOC: No. We have an ideology and we stick to it. There's no paranoia there.

*Private*

Ryn Atrevier: "How interesting it is the collective psychologies of the Europeans and the Americans. The Europeans follow the path of the quintessential modern man; which is a path of uncertainty and internal struggle. While the Americans, rather than confronting their own internal insecurities, project them onto the rest of the world. Existence becomes not a battle with self to find truth; but rather a battle with the external and physical manifestations of one's own internal demons in order to "defeat" them. While the Europeans come to terms with their own internal problems and confront them for what they are; the Americans seek to compensate for them by destroying what they fear or rather what they feel represents their problems."

Allison Loraine: "Indeed hence their fear of colonialism, and the aversion to "internationalism", they have projected their internal problems of corruption, loss of sovereignty, tyranny and so forth on the "colonial"; so to destroy it, is to conquer their fears."

Ryn: *Sighs* "Its their region I suppose they can do whatever they want... as long as they leave us to our own."
