*One of Saboria's moon-missions, before the war*

One of the missions to the dark side of the moon - the side not facing Bob at all times - had found artificial structures, apparently built my men, but abandoned a long time ago, decades ago. Heavy blast-doors had sealed it shut, and thus the Chairman decided to send modified space-suits, capable of wielding weapons and reinforced against bullet-fire in the front. Two shuttles had landed nearby, with a total of 14 men coming out of them. They would, after quite a bit of work, open the door and be greeted by an old, but still functional automatic defense turret. It was taken care of quickly, though one of the men had to return to the shuttle, his suit being slightly damaged.

After this, they began exploring the facility, encountering other turrets on occasion, but few as functional as the one at the entrance. Within the base, they found things that would be kept secret from the entire world. The astronauts had to make oaths to never, ever tell anyone what they had found.

The entire crew, dead, from starvation; The base was operational, though partially damaged. Genetic experiments had been found, dead monsters, apparently designed for war, including armor for them. Several DNA-databases containing information that could potentially be used to enhance humans. Cures for various sicknesses, genetic problems, even something that could be a cure for cancer! However, they also found records of bizarre, extremely bizarre and very unethical experiments on humans, as well as a biological warhead, apparently dangerous enough to keep it off Bob, on the moon.

Until now, there had been no real reason to use this base.

This war, however, would result in something similar to the apocalypse. The Chairman authorised the construction of a number of powerful rockets - even stronger than the Saturn V Rockets. These would bring large amounts of materials to that base in the case of all-our nuclear war, to expand it, making life for almost 1,200 people possible. It would likely almost bankrupt Saboria, despite its economic power, but that was a necessary sacrifice.

OOC: Don't care if Mercy sanctioned it. Im not accepting it.

Construction of the Jupiter III rockets continued, even though predictions of Saborian scientists said that the country would be affected less than initially thought. This merely slowed the project, though, to half the original spee. This would prevent total bankruptcy, but it would require months, if not years to finish, and still be extremely expensive, even more so because it was not an international project, where many nations participated.

Construction teams were being prepared to work in the silence of space, to repair the base.

OOC: Just a short note again: Take it to Mercy if you don't like this. Also, this may or may not bankrupt me utterly, before I actually finish it, depending on what the hell happens in the next months.

IC:

*Private message to the Dragon Empire*

Our scientists have determined that our country will largely be less affected than initially thought - aside from the Canary Islands and our pacific possessions - and we have thus slowed the reparations of the base. We will thus no longer need your monetary help, even if it will take several years to fully complete this project.

(See this message and the following ones)

We want this base to stay secret, so please do only tell people who can really be trusted about it, though we would prefer if you told no-one.

Should you try to make it public, then we will have to consider you a secret enemy of the state, all pacts will be nullified and we will do our best to make you miserable. This is not a warning, but a promise, though we trust you to do the smart thing and not tell anyone.

*Somewhere in an unaffected part of the world*

The old Chairman, Lynneth, sat in a chair, leaning back, and watching the destruction of Europe and other parts of the world on several TVs.

"Just as planned."

*Private Message*

No threats required. You saved our Chairman.

*Private response*

As said, it was not a threat, merely a promise.

Anyways, the first of the rockets will be launched within a week, bringing material up.

*End of*

*Somewhere in Saboria; Classified Location*

Several of Saboria's best Generals and Admirals were gathered in a room looking quite a bit like a command central. On one wall, there was a huge worldmap with all nations and regions of the world. It was, however, not 'interactive', it was a pure map and otherwise of not much use.

However, in the middle of the room, a hologram activated.

It showed a similar map, but with all the intel, recon, et cetera that Saboria's agents, satellites and other assets could gather.

The Chairman entered.

"Gentlemen."

Some saluted, others simply nodded.

"What are we looking at right now?"

One of the generals responded, "Well...it seems that in the north, the USNA's forces are wavering. They were possibly too suprised by our attack and our current campaign is going quite well at the time."

"What else?"

"The world's pretty much going down the drain. Much of Eurasia is bombed, the Balkans and South America have to fight against diseases and toxins, and west America - Tahoe - is in a similar state as the rest of Eurasia. Africa has been spared, but they'll have some severe droughts in the next years from all the ash and !@#$ going into the atmosphere."

"The winter will hit us not as hard as many other parts of the world, thanks to the arctic winds. They're not as strong as, for example, in the Northern Empire, but without them, we'd be in a worse state."

"At least something...What's the state of their militaries?"

"That we can answer easily, Sir..."

And it continued for a bit, as the Chairman was getting up to date with the world's militaries.

OOC: This is basically just to showcase that :awesome: map there.

Some time ago......

Every single scientist in the Black Mesa Research Facility stood up at attention when a very short accouncement was made.

"The Tyrant has arrived."

One could see some of them looking rather faint, and also quite a few were sweating a shower. Soon, heavy footsteps began ringing in the quiet hallways of the Facility, as an ominous figure walked toward the heavy blast door of the main control room. Upon entering, the figure sat at a comfortable chair, and several screens light up in front of him.

"Gentlemen, how are the developments of the Dennetsu Kagakuhou and the Bullfrog going? I'm expecting results. Real results."

A small smile appeared on his face, which scared the life out of all who saw it.

OOC: This is just a reroll of the weapon developments Kei had been doing in Saboria. I'll give the specifics when I come back from Guam.

One of the scientists spoke in a quivering voice.

“Si, sir, we have managed to get the ETC gun functioning, at least for the tank gun version. Wo, would you like to see the tests?”

“Do you think I came all the way here to just listen to rambling?”

“O, of course not, sir. Please wait a few moments.”

One of the screens blacked out for a moment, with a scene of a peculiar looking machine coming up soon after, along side a regular looking tank gun.

“We, we have been working on the 140 mm tank gun before you generously gave use the blue prints. First, here is the shooting of the regular gun.”

The tank gun explodes with a large bang, as it fired a shell towards an old IFV that was originally planned for scraping. The shell penetrated the war machine, completely destroying it.

“Th, the 140 mm gun has a penetrating power of 14 MJ, compared to the 9 MJ of the 120 mm gun. Already there is no armor that can survive the 120 mm, meaning that the 140 mm is enough to take out just about anything the potential enemy may place on the battlefield. However, with the ETC technology, we have been able to heighten the penetrating power to about 25 MJ by making the muzzle velocity reach 2400 m/s. Please watch.”

The peculiar looking machine fired its own shell at another IFV, which was covered with a thick layer of reactive armor bricks. There was an explosion as the armor reacted to the shell. A spectacular boom immediately followed as the entire IFV rose up in the air in a magnificent geyser of fire.

“O, once we start mass producing this, we believe that there will be no land vehicle that can stand up to out tanks, at least when it comes to the offensive punch.”

A sudden burst of evil laughter startled all the scientists, as the man in the main control room .

“Good, VERY good. You have done very well. Now, what about the ship gun?”

Another scientist spoke, this time in a crisp British accent.

“Sir, we have not been able to achieve the standards you have set up for us-”

“You haven’t? What makes you think you can show your face, then?”

“Although we have not reached your expectations, I believe that the results so far would be enough to satisfy the immediate requirements. Please look at the prototype.”

A video link to the test range came up, showing a massive barrel.

“Given the lower efficiency due to the large size, we have only achieved a muzzle velocity of 1800 m/s. However, by strengthening the overall structure of the gun, a 500 kg shell can be fired. This results in about 560 MJ, meaning it has more power than the Yamato battleship main guns.”

Everyone except the person in the control room covered their ears as an enormous explosion rang out, the concussions breaking through the speakers. A few minutes later, a tall concrete building that was the target got demolished completely as the shot ripped through.

“The range is about 300 km, with a CEP (Circular Error Probable) of 3 meters. This statistics show that the ETC has better accuracy than most, if not all, the rail guns that has been the trend among navies these days. This means we can conserve massive amounts of energy to allow ships to move at full speed while being able to fire their guns, something no rail gun ships can do.”

All eyes were focused on the unblinking red lasers that were piercing the screens.

“It’ll do for now. Nice work so far. However, I expect better results when I come back later.”

“Understood, sir. I will not disappoint you.”

There were large sighs of relief. However, there was still more to be done……

“Report on the progress of the Bullfrog.”

OOC: Guess what the Bullfrog is.

Bad things were happening in the world.

Many bad things.

Luckily, the hidden nuclear missle silos had been finished. They were basically impossible to detect with the use of satellites; Two were actually in goddamn lakes!

Additionally, the entire support structure was underground, leaving only a moderately sized military base above them, looking completely innocent, just like any other base of its size.

And right now, the nuclear missles within them were being readied for the possibility of a retaliatory strike.

*Classified, once again*

[Chairman's office]

Leclerc was at the phone, talking to...someone.

"Are they ready to be deployed?"

On the other line, the man answered. "Yes, Sir. Testing phase is over and we're moving into production. Those new missles are gonna do a lot of damage to our enemies."

"They can be fired from planes, as requested, yes?"

"Yes, with little modifications. And their targeting solution can be done by help of sats looking for heat, useful on the oceans."

"Indeed. They reach Mach 6, right?"

"Yes, Sir. Scramjet, beautiful stuff. They've got a range of roughly 1000 kilometers, at Mach 6, almost unstoppable. At that speed, even a football's gonna leave a big dent in your armor."

"Great. Mass-produce them, we may need them sooner than thought."

"Of course, Sir. Goodbye."

Defcon is being put to 2.

The border with Viniland is being fortified, similar with the new border with USNA. In the case that both Canada and Viniland intervened in the war, the Chairman didn't want to be caught unprepared.

OOC: Only edited "Saboria" into "Canada."

[Chairman's office]

The Chairman was, as often, on the phone.

"So they'll be named M6-K missiles from now on? Good. Now, I know you've already done many tests before we started mass-producing them and selling some to Dragonisia, but I never really got around to reading what exactly they can do, aside from reaching Mach 6. Could you enlighten me a bit?"

"Of course, Sir. We have various configurations for the missiles, such as anti-ship warheads, pure kinetic kill-equipment, FOABs, even small nukes could be mounted in them. Sky's the limit regarding the warhead."

"Sounds excellent. Guidance systems?"

"As usual, easily changeable. Among those that can be put in are Radar, Laser-guidance, sat-uplink coordinates, IR-sat-guidance, manual guidance and a lot more. The extreme speeds make it very hard for the missile to change course, but it's possible, though there's a small change of something screwing up during a course-change, crashing the missile. So if you put a nuke on 'em, don't change course."

"I see. What's the odds of stopping them?"

"I dunno, Sir. Depends all on the tech of the opponent. With railguns for example, a single shot could theoretically rip the entire missle apart, but they gotta hit first. Even the best railguns can still misfire slightly, enough to not hit the missle at all. AM-missiles would need a similar speed as the M6-K to have a chance of stopping them, at least mach 4, though mach 5 or 6 would be better. Hard to do with normal AM-missiles. That's all I can think of right now, Sir."

"Well, sounds good. So even a high-technology nation would have a hard time stopping them."

"Yes, Sir, they would. Especially if we put a kinetic warhead, like a tungsten rod in and throw the missile on a ballistic path. It could do a lot of damage, or stop enemy kinetic killers."

"Good, good. That's it for now, I'll contact you if I need more."

"Understood. Until then."

"Bye."

[Within Canada]

The recent expansions had brought the need to make the national SDI system bigger, better and all in all powerful enough to cover almost the entirety of Canada, the Canary Islands and the Pacific Islands.

Countless installations were already being built, TELs being built and satellites shot into space to get the new systems running ASAP - the Chairman didn't want to risk anything.

  • 3 weeks later...

*Classified*

The nation of J Andres had fallen into disarray and anarchy, the government not responding to any messages sent, even after several months.

It was decided that, to keep the chaos from spilling into the country, canadian forces would move westwards to police the area and eventually incorporate it into the main nation.

It was estimated that it would take less than two weeks to take control and after that, some months to years to fully incorporate the territory into Canada.

This was done silently, only a short message being sent to Cainette to notify them of this. To the world, it would seem as if there never had been anyone other than Canada in control of the region.
