Upon receiving Special Report No.1 from the Departmento Munitorum, the Emperor ordered sweeping changes to the Imperium's nuclear prepardness.

With the ever increasing danger of nuclear weapons, the following must be done to safeguard and protect the Imperium against weapons of mass destruction.

II. As ordered, all homes entering construction after the issuing of this decree must be built with underground bunkers. With the help of the Administratum, special funds will be set up to construct bunkers for pre-Imperium built homes.

III. An extensive review of pre-Imperium architecture will take place to ensure nuclear survivability.

IV. An extensive review of pre-Imperium technology will take place to ensure the maximum EMP protection.

[The Emperor's Journey]

At the Emperor's behest, the Retribution-class Battlecruiser (Kirov Battle Cruiser) Majestic, the Emperor's personal flagship and lead ship of her class, was to be prepared for a two week long journey. In a rather suprising move, the Emperor decided to accompany his personal ship, as it embarked on a mission of good will to a few select nations. By doing this, he hoped to extend the Imperium's diplomatic reach.

Escorting the Emperor's flagship would be one cruiser, two destroyers, three frigates and one support ship. The Surface Action Group was scheduled to leave port within the next couple of days.

[Western Crusade]

After a rapid advance, the Iraqi governorate of Arbil fell to Prussian troops. The advance into that specific area had caused 0 casualties to the combined force. Persian troops would continue onward into the neighboring region of Nineveh. In the areas of As-Sulaymāniyyah, Diyālā, Persian Forces began to encounter light resistance, mostly in the form of radical religious groups loyal to their former "God Emperor".

Quickly realising that their troops were on the wrong continent, King Wilhelm ordered a quick and stealthy exfiltration to Prussia proper. On their way, they helped the Arbil and their Government back up, as a means of showing their regret for knocking them over.

"Your Imperial Majesty, we have an update on the situation. Our fleet is still involved in a stand-off with the Japanese Navy."

Bahadur rubbed his chin, "It seems I will have to cancel my personal voyage until this situation is handled. Quite unfortunate." Bahadur sighed, "Dispatch my battlegroup to reinforce TaskForce Beta. Advise the Admiral to fire only in defense."

After receiving the order, the Emperor's personal task force was dispatched to reinforce Taskforce "Beta".

[Administrative Functions]

There was no surprise that activity within the Imperium of Persia was at an all time high, due to various internal and external matters. In order to relieve the Imperium of some of it's ever-growing administrative functions, the Adeptus Administratum formally relieved the Imperium of all administrative and legal responsibilities, in Bahrain and other regions. Bahrain's legal responsibility was formally transferred to Novak. However, all previous agreements, regarding that specific area, would be grandfathered.

[Status of the Great Crusade]

In a document published by the Imperial Guard, the Great Crusade was placed at 50% completion. In response, over two hundred thousand troops were withdrawn from the Crusade.

"Hold the line!"

Throughout the province of Nineveh, Imperial Guardsmen were involved in a life and death struggle. In every house, Guardsmen encountered resistance. From Molotov cocktails to sniping, Guardsmen were exposed to the worse elements. In the streets, armored vehicles were engaged by suicide bombers; while, other remembers fired the occasional rocket propelled rockets. Indeed, it was hell on earth.

Inside of Babil, efforts were now underway to provide humanitarian aid to the populace. Citizens lined up in droves to receive the essentials needed for everyday life. Even with logistics troops providing these needs, Guardsmen continued to encounter various rebel factions. In some extreme cases, rebels provided the local populace with tainted goods, leading to distrust amongst the population towards Persia. The Imperial Guard went through great lengths to dispel these rumors.

In Thi Qar, F-15SE began around the clock bombardment operations, in a move to disrupt partisan supply lines. The F-15SE used all available guided munitions, in order to miss civilian targets, to achieve their goals. Indeed, there would be nothing left standing. Guardsmen, on the ground, continued coordinate strikes moving forward.

Inside of Al-Anbar, Karbala, Al Najaf, and Al-Muthanna, Imperial Paratroopers continued to consolidate ground. After landing, forces began to secure the immediate location.  Afterwords, forces would begin to branch out throughout each of the provinces. Upon advancing, forces came up heavy fire from partisan forces, with included artillery and left over Babylonian armored vehicles. Indeed, the fight for this sector of Iraq would be considered the meat grinder.

Baghdad

Meanwhile, the struggle for Baghdad continued. Imperial airborne forces, using laser pointers, designated targets for F-15SE units. The  F-15SEs dropped dozens of guided munitions, in a bid to wipe out the enemy resistance. Imperial forces continued to move forward, despite the heavy attacks.

The Final Crusade

[Azerbaijan]

Imperial Guardsmen continued to pour into the Azerbaijani regions of Nakhchivan, Kalbajar-Lachin, Aran Economic Region, and Lankaran. Citizens lined up in droves to watch the long line of Imperial convoys, as they entered each individual region. Imperial Guardsmen were surprised at the lack of fighting, compared to sections of the Crusade. However, commanders warned soldiers not to get too comfortable. "Evil was at every corner." Inside of the other regions of Ganja-Gazakh, Shaki-Zaqatala, Guba-Khachmaz, Daghlig Shirvan, and Asheron, airborne forces continued to consolidate their gains. Government offices were captured, along with other necessities needed to conquer a foreign nation. Other parts of the airborne legions began to spread out, doing their part in the Crusade.

[Armenia]

"We are here to usher in a new age of peace and prosperity for your people!"

Various aircraft dropped leaflets, promising the people of Armenia a new future when "integration" was complete. On the ground, Imperial troops continued their coordinated advance forward. Some Guardsmen would comment that this area of the Crusade was heaven, compared to the hell that was Iraq and soon to be Arabia.

[Georgia]

"We have reports of roadside bombers, advance with caution."

Fifty Guardsmen had died from roadside bombers, when their light transport vehicles were blown to smithereens. Heavy armored vehicles, along with other units were ordered to move ahead, in order to detect possible bombs and diffuse them. Of course, these roadside bombs were the least of their issues, sporadic "ambushes" were also a constant thing.  Indeed, Georgia was shaping up to be quite the mess.

"Hail the God Emperor!"

That was the familiar scream of the rebel units, actively engaged with Persian forces in Ninevah. The rebels, who didn't care too much for their own well-being, launched dozens of suicide attacks. However, Imperial troops remained steadfast in their advance, especially with F-15SEs constantly  providing close air support.

Inside of Babil, humanitarian efforts continued. While these efforts continued at a steady pace, Imperium troops began to launch coordinated raids on a number of locations. In one case, Persian troops uncovered a large cache of explosives and weapons. In response, the owners were arrested.

Inside of Thi Qar, F-15SE's continued their around the clock bombardment. Thanks to these coordinated strikes, Guardsmen began to make great gains in the area; however, there was still much to do. So far, there were one hundred Guardsmen casualties, with many more wounded. Unfortunately, the number was expected to grow.

Inside of Al-Anbar, Karbala, Al Najaf, and Al-Muthanna, Guardsmen artillery began to rain down on enemy positions. This was in the form of howitzers and mortars. Buildings that once stood tall in the distance were now burnt out, hollow shells.

Most of the interactions were successful, which made the local command confident of a quick victory. In the other regions of Ganja-Gazakh, Shaki-Zaqatala, Guba-Khachmaz, Daghlig Shirvan, and Asheron, Guardsmen were greeted by protesting citizens. Most citizens held up signs, protesting against the Persian "occupation"; while, others protested about other issues concerning the occupation. In order to quell these protest before grew, commanders met with local leaders to dispel any negative rumors.

3/7

[Armenia]

Inside of Armenia, the situation was calm for the most part. The local population didn't pay much attention to the Guardsmen. The few moments of interaction was mostly with small children, fascinated by a tank or infantry fighting vehicle. In a move to take advance of this calmness, the local commander agreed to meet with the local administration. "Peaceful" integration with the Imperium would be the main topic of discussion.

3/7

[Georgia]

Receiving word from local informant, Guardsmen began to conduct raids on possible rebels. Indeed, Persian troops were relentless in these assaults, making examples to deter any possible aggression. Elsewhere, Persian troops launched coordinated strikes against other supposed rebel strongholds. In some extreme cases, F-15SEs were brought in to wipe rebel bands off the face of the map.

[Halting Military Operations in Anatolia]

In a rather surprising move, the Lord Commander Militant of the Imperial Guard suspended military operations in Anatolia citing an unnecessary overstretching of military assets and growing hostilities with the Imperium of Japan. For the time being Anatolia would be placed under the protection of the Imperium of Persia, with a skeleton garrison being placed in the region to maintain order and stability.

[The Inquisition Begins Operations in Former-Babylonia]

Under the command of the Adeptus Ministorum, various members began to enter areas behind the front lines. These men, which numbered the thousands, began a systematic operation to dismantle the old Babylonian religion. Symbols, statues, scriptures, books, and anything related to the old religion were either torn down or burned. In their place, missionaries began to teach and spread the world of the Imperial Cult, which would become the new official religion.
