A full four nuclear warheads had impacted Foundation, obliterating the inner core of that city in a holocaust of wreckage and bodies. Three more warheads drilled a swathe through Paradiso; its' gleaming white structures forced beneath a cloud of radioactive contamination. Two more warheads smashed into Imperial Center. Its' highrise buildings were smashed asunder with the blasts rending their structures down to so much twisted metal. Interestingly enough, the buildings formed separate canyons of a sort which concentrated wind and yet forced the full fury of the nuclear blasts onto each building in turn. Immediately, requests for monetary aid were sent out to allies; namely Greater Pacifica, the Rebel Army, the United Federation of the East, the Kingdom of Cochin, and Germany. No suggestions for reprisals were given; only respectful pleas for help in digging out the bodies. Reports were of course incomplete but it was estimated that at least three million people had died either in the fireballs or their direct effects. The first units of the GN225 and GAL Pelicans of Transport Command, RCAF are being loaded with emergency aid items to send on a priority basis to HAE as the larger capacity ships are being assembled and loaded all along the major ports of Cochin. Gearing up for a higher DEFCON level to be announces soon, Royal Cochin Air Force is also mobilizing its Air Freight assets in a massive manner for a soon to be launched air armada to transport air supplies to HAE and potentially GKF. The Heavy transport aircrafts of Royal Cochin Air Force had flown over the unclaimed areas of Africa north of Transvaal (Tanzania, Congo and North Angola) with refueling by the Halob tankers at NAS St Helena. The 12 lumbering transport aircrafts of HB32A Aquadron would be the first in a massive aerial convoy of transport aircrafts mobilized by Royal Cochin Air Force. A total of 10 regiments of Halob and 20 regiments of Merat have been assigned for the relief operations in Holy American Empire apart from the extra large transport aircrafts like the GN225 and GAL Pelican. Four of the six GN 225s commissioned into Royal Cochin Air Force are now assigned to the HAE relief duty. Special permissions have been sought from Arctica and Transvaal for emergency refueling in case any of the aircrafts find themselves in trouble in the intercontinental flight. Eventually a large shipment of food, water and basic medical supplies along with some experienced medical teams was put together and loaded onto a number of cargo vessels ready to take the cargo to the HAE. Holy American relief crews had worked until they dropped from exhaustion, then got up and did it again over and over. The Cochin ships would be sent in their entirety to Imperial Center to aid in the relief effort there, where millions had died and hundreds of thousands struggled through the wreckage of the nearly molten inner city. We stand ready to send relief and repair corps who will do all they can to save those trapped within the attacked cities, as well as aid in distributing supplies to survivors and repairing what was lost. Knowing that every second counted the captains ran their engines at max intending to reach the Empire as quickly as possible. Luckily no ships broke down and they reached Santiago within hours. Their efforts would be welcomed and cherished by the beleaguered crews on-duty, the supplies helping significantly towards forming a fire break between the relatively unscathed outer city and the turmoil of the inner. Once the security of the surviving buildings was assured, stockpiled aid and equipment would be used to begin the salvage of what remained. Not much hope held out in the Empire for the poor souls trapped inside, and Acting Emperor Roxas grimly reported to the populace that evening that expected death tolls for Imperial Center alone had surpassed 10 million. Triyun Posted January 7, 2011 Report Share Posted January 7, 2011 UFE air assets had landed and begun to deliver the initial supply lines to the Holy American Empire, the first three massive aid flotillas from the strategic naval reserve and merchant marines had been dispatched now from Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Tianjin which would be delivering much larger amounts of aid than planes could carry. Normally intended to carry heavy armored divisions these were equipped with personnel, construction and S&R heavy machinery, food, water, and advanced clean up systems. 5, 000 personnel were now in place on the ground and ready to put themselves under the command of the Holy American Empire's central command for the disaster site. However, naval infantry have been ordered to remain behind and assist with humanitarian efforts. 1,200 men would begin to clear through the rubble, while also guarding civilian relief personnel. As the ships of the Task Force fired their engines at full steam for the combat deployment back to friendly waters, the aircrafts and helicopters would pick up the servicemen on shore. The TF178 would sail back to Indian Ocean through the Drake Passage south of Holy American Empire. Urgent duties are awaiting TF178 to prevent further nuclear catastrophes.
