Friendship in North America

[b]Preamble[/b]
Desiring peace and friendship to foster and grow among the nations of North America, The Maritime Republic of J Andres and the Tahoe Republic, hereon out known as J Andres and Tahoe respectively, hereby enter into an agreement to stimulate friendship and international cooperation in North America.

[b]Article I. Non Aggression[/b]
The undersigned nations hereby agree to non-aggression. Neither nation will engage in military or undercover operations against the other.

[b]Article II. Free Trade[/b]
Tahoe and J Andres hereby agree to free trade between their nations. All goods traded between the two nations are exempt from tariffs. Taxes levied by one nations government against its own citizens may be applied to the other nations citizen when trading in that nation.


[b]Article III. Cancellation[/b]
This treaty can be terminated by either signatory at any time, provided that the other nation is made aware of the cancellation 96 hours in advance. This treaty is considered to still be in effect until the 96 hours is up.

"We are sure they will not do that. We will use diplomatic means to help resolve any problems between Tahoe and the USA."

"That's good, because the Southern Tahoe region just legally petitioned to join the U.S. and was accepted by the Senate. Now we are told that we are to be forced to surrender this territory under threat of force. The Tahoan Navy is already en-route to our west coast. That said, if you're going to act as mediator.. you might want to start to now. Citizens of the United States living in the South West are now heavily concerned."

J Andres has been assured that the Tahoe Republic has no desire to attack the United States of America. California, Colorado, Nevada, Utah and Arizona are not part of the United States, but an integral part of the Tahoe Republic. Tahoe wishes for nothing more to live in peace with its neighbors, but to do so Tahoan sovereignty must be respected.
