Construction began early this monring and will take up to six months to be completed and commisioned. HMS Thunder Child will be a Type 42 Destroyer. Zoot Zoot Posted December 6, 2009 Author Report Share Posted December 6, 2009 General Steven Jackson, commander in cheif of the armed forces of the Malvinas Island Territories today revealed New Weaponry for the Army. The L96 "Long" rifle is now Standard issue for all Malvinian sharpshooters and Marksmen. The M82 50 calibre Sniper rifle is now Standard issue for all Qualified Snipers in the Army. The M2 Browning 50 calibre machinegun has been implimented on all light vehicles able to support it. The Old Cruise Missile systems have been upgraded to support Tomahawk cruise missiles. Kevlar Body Armour is to be replacing the old Steel plate armour previously used by the armed forces. K-15 as it is dubbed, is 15x layers of woven Kevlar with a 5x8 steel plate over the heart for protection. All Helmets have been replaced from the MK-5 up to the MK-6 Nylon Fibre helmet. General Jackson also stated plans for the construction of a Missile shield to protect the homeland from Nuclear strikes or ICBM stikes. This unprovoked attack on the British lands came out of the blue, with no reasoning except to proove to the world Damacious isnt weak. King Douglas has, it would seem ordered a full counter attack, but these rumours cannot be confirmed. U.C.N.C will keep you updated as the situation escalates. The Joint Protectorate is now fully Under Umbrella Corp Control. Whilst not directly under the Umbrella Corporations control, its protectorates citizens began immigrating into the Malvinian territory on the Antarctic and taking ships to the Mainland to begin a new life. This Population boost also puts the army at a major advance with its numbers now numbering 90,000 men, with another 40,000 in reserve that can be called up to active duty. General Jackson, commander in Cheif of the Army organised a parade through CITY 17 as a show of force and national pride, to show the world how disiplined and professional the Umbrella Corp Security Services, and the Military are. The LA85 A3 will be its replacement. All the same specifications as an SA80, however. Its smaller, the optics system has changed to a simple red dot sight, it now comes standard with torch, laser sight and UGL or underslung grenade launcher for short. The rail system along the top runs most of the weapons length allowing the assault rifle to be adapted for different combat senarios. Also the Special Forces have been given a revamp on the weapons node also. Previously using SA80's or whatever they aqquired from the enemy or the black market, Chairman Wesker, King Arthur and the Prime minister all sat down to discuss how to change it. He had this to say: "This shield gives us simply one more layer against nuclear and non nuclear missile strike. by all means to not beleive it will save us if they are used agianst us. There is a 6:10 chance we will strike down the enemies missiles with the system. There is a 4:10 chance they will get through to our cities. And even then it depends on the missile, how fast its going, how fast we react and how fast we counter launch to defend our island. The defences CAN in theory take down any missile fired at us, but as soon as it leaves its silo its down to chance if it can stop it. In the event of a mass nuclear strike agianst us, or large scale cruise missile bombing, my military officials project that over 40% of the missiles will breach the defences and get through. This program may seem pointless to you all, why spend hundreds of millions of pounds, of your money, if it doesnt work? The answer is, because it does work, it may stop enough missiles to leave enough left for us to rise up out of again and wreak a vengence on those responsble" There you have it citizens, Wesker admits the shield doesnt work to 100% efficiency. In other news, Bekner island has also joined the Umbrella Corp holdings via public poll which showed that 87% of its citizens wished to be apart of the Umbrella Corporation, with 13% against. Arthure, 24, began intensive training to become an Army Air Corps helicopter pilot on Monday while Chelsy, 23, is reportedly studying a post-graduate law course at CITY 17 University. Royal sources confirmed to the UCNC that the couple had parted after the story appeared on the News of the World's Web site. The newspaper said it was not known what caused the break-up but that friends of Chelsy have said the time the pair spent apart and the young Kings lifestyle were to blame. Should the accused be found guilty he shalt face torture and finally death, by crucifixion. If after 24 hours they still live on the cross they will be killed via firing squad. If found Innocent the accused shall have all charges dropped and a new identity shall be provided for by the Government. He had this to say: "Pedos, Rapists, Murderers and the kind of people who harbour immoral intent towards children have NO place within our Society and certainnly not in my Country. If they are found guilty of any sex crimes, they shall be made to suffer the most horrendous tortures known to man, be subjected to the strictest rules whilst in Prison, they will be left to the inmates mercy until finally they are executed by Crucifixion on Volunteer Point. If crucifxion does not kill these monsters they will be shot. If somebody is found guilty of murder, they shall simply face death by firing squad.
