Nagato the Great Posted September 10, 2009 Report Share Posted September 10, 2009 September 9, 2009 Victory Square Novaya Sobor, Chernorussia Thousands of people were gathering in the streets around and within Victory Square. The area, some of which still had blood stains on it, was jampacked with civilians and Novaya Military personnel alike. Before them, three huge television screen had been posted on towering poles; on them, the face of the hero of the people, the savior of the nation, the enigmatic new leader known to the public only as: Big Brother. His face, clad as it was in shades and dark hair, as darkened as it was, seemed to shine above all else. Big Brother’s origins were little known: it was known that he had fought in the Chernorussian Civil War on the part of the rebellion, whether as a foot soldier on the front or one of the generals who disappeared after the war, it may never be known. What was known was that after Chernorussia had finally emerged from the war anew, the high ranking officials and officers who had rebelled named Big Brother the champion of the rebellion, he had supposedly won many key victories for the rebels. “We are coming into a new age.” Big Brother’s voice, quiet yet commanding, boomed out with the aid of massive stereos around the square. “One in which the people truly have a part in all aspects of our nation.” His words were met with applause and cheering. “The so-called ‘democratic’ government of former Chernorussia is toppled.” He continued. “Now, I proclaim all its former territories the Socialist Republic of Chernorrusia.” The sound of the voices of the people rose in volume, and many people threw flowers at the face in the televisions. “We have lost much for our victory.” Big Brother said. “The loved ones who left their families to fight a dictatorship hiding under the guise of democracy, and did not return.” Many people, mostly women, broke into tears at this. The men solemnly stood. “But they have not suffered in vain. We are victorious.” Big Brother suddenly said, “Hail the victorious dead!” “Hail!” the people shouted, and roared in appreciation. “I will speak no more.” Big Brother said. “For the words of our people, of our loved ones now gone, speak louder than I ever could.” And with that the screens went black. September 11th, 2009 The Government Building Novaya Sobor, Chernorussia Big Brother had spent the day before resting, before getting to the hard and backbreaking work of a leader. He had much to do. “Ilya, will you come here? I need you to do something.” Big Brother’s voice flooded into the quarters of Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilya Ivanovich, who hurriedly scurried to the door, taking a moment to admire the poster that hung on his wall: a picture of Big Brother, shades and all, staring at him. Under it, were the words: “Big Brother is watching you.” The poster had been proposed as a way of scaring off further ‘democratic’ supporters from any attempts to sabotage the new government, and to comfort the public that this was happening. Big Brother disagreed, so Ilya, who had supported the poster, kept one for himself. The eyes seemed to follow him as, in a fluid motion, he opened and closed his door as he walked out. “Yes sir?” “Send a message to all nations near and around Chernorussia, inviting them here for a press conference.” “Right away sir.” And with that, Ilya scurried off again, leaving Big Brother to contemplate the future of his fledgling government. I don't know if you're already been approved by Buryatia or not, but they have no posted saying they agree to your taking of their protectorate.
