Bower3aj Posted June 10, 2009 Report Share Posted June 10, 2009 - The Christmas War (TCW) started after SPA found proof of UNSC spying on an alliance allied to theirs. TCW didn't involve all CoMA signatories, just GDI and TUON against UNSC...the remaining alliances attacking UNSC were part of a bloc that GDI was also a part of for a short time, the Warsaw Micro-Coalition. TCW pulled GDI out of the equation as we sided with SPA via personal (alliance-to-alliance) relations. (SPA/GDI MDAP > CoMA MDoAP) In the Karma war the Lodge had to work around some treaties. Let me tell you how to do it for next time (I know everybody, this could make things less fun for all, but I really don't care right now). If you have an MDAP with someone and they say to you "Hey! attack this guy with us" and you realize that the guy you're supposed to attack holds a treaty with you you say "uhhh I can't. I have a treaty with them". If you really want to help you'll cancel the treaty (in this case, leave the bloc) and then attack. The way an MDAP is supposed to over rule an MDoAP/MDP/ODP is that both treaty partners are attacked and you can only defend one. Your first pick, no matter how badly the other one's getting hit is defend the MDAP. You then talk it over with the MDAP and see if they truly need your help. If not then you can work it out with them where you attack the other people. MDAPs don't overrule a MDoAP by saying "hey I can now attack you even though I told you I wouldn't" K? good. At least you know that this treaty will be honored. Well yah, there's very little room to screw up. I guess that's what Ryan needs though. Unlike what most seem to say, TCW wasn't a GDI-led war. tl;dr - UNSC spies on Jama, they get away, SPA gets intelligence from UNSC forums of the spy op, SPA asks us for help via MDAP, we join in. Not "we find the intelligence, rally a bunch of socialist/communist-based alliances and attack". So you caught a spy by spying and you attacked for spying?
