His laptops are Macs, his netbook Windows and his servers and HTPC run Linux. Some think he has entirely too many computers. Those are crazy people. It's kind of like learning Jesus kills orphans. I'm not going to say Jesus killed orphans, but don't you think that it's a little strange you never read about them in the Bible? I'm just saying, mortality rates were through the roof in the zeroth century and you'd think he'd run across a few while he's healing lepers and cloning fish. Janquel Posted November 12, 2009 Report Share Posted November 12, 2009 (edited) The thing which most computers seem to be choking on is the typical 'say NS/alliance name on hover' functionality. I went ahead and took some screenshots/stitched them together. It blurred a tad, and some small bits were lost in the stitching process because my software apparently sucks, but it should still be serviceable. Linked for bloody huge But seriously, awesome chart, UE. You're great for keeping up with all these stat updates and providing the historical perspective/service to the players. This means the corrupted data shouldn't have ended up affecting anything since only the reconstructed html files get parsed for data and inserted into the database. Which makes me wonder how exactly they managed to get an entry in the Wonder Snapshot table yesterday to cause that broken stat in the graph. For now, I'm going to delete that row in the Wonder Snapshot table and time permitting I'll investigate how it got inserted at all. Edit: Further inspection indicates, it *did* end up in a .html file with the corrupted data. The line after Social Security Systems (which is 96), is Space Programs. The line reads '58 Space Program', then ~0x2000 NULLs (0x00, which isn't valid in an HTML document), and picks up in the middle of the embedded XML for one of the charts further down the page. This is the second or third time I recall seeing a glitch in the Matrix that is the Internet that lead to corrupt data in the old database.
