Diskord warned me, but the timing is very unfortunate. However, beggars can't be choosers. I'm keeping all my little stats in a row, waiting for the moment when I can spring them upon this thread. Not a bandwidth problem, the server got moved to a VM and when pagefiles go unused ESX canabalizes the memory, so when it gets requested it absolute sucks. diskord Posted May 1, 2009 Report Share Posted May 1, 2009 (edited) Server seems to have died again I saw them for a while today though I could bore you with all the technical details of VMI and ACPI clock sync's in the Ubuntu kernel... or I could just say I think I fixed the "lockup" issue and it should all be good. Edit: the one thing I do have to add, now that the server has been all upgraded and if I have proved stability (if it lasts more than 24 hours, the cpu clock issue happens pretty fast) then I plan on doing a pretty major network move, changing the VLAN the server sits in and then moving it to a whole new ip. Had to change the DNS settings last night, it can take up to 24 hours for the DNS records to resolve, although at least for the few DNS servers I have checked they were updated.
