1. I support this statement about startup micros. Should just join the oldest alliance.
2. Kers, he's just following my lead you cranky crab.
3. Meh I guess that was suppose to quote RV. You're not bitter..
4. Bitter much? I pick Tywin first round.
5. These would really be interesting, its incredibly difficult to get anyone interested in the game when you tell them #1 it is text based and #2 that it'll take you over a year in real time for your nation to be anywhere near competitive with the ancient nations. Otherwise all we have to offer is the promise that if someone is active enough, they might just get interested enough in the RP alliance portion of the game. Giving new nations a sort of quick start would defiantly make the game more fun and playable for new members. UI changes would be welcome, the few logo changes that are straight out of word art doesn't really cut it.
6. It seems we've been re-piped. o/ GATO
7. Perhaps erecting some different leadership or drinking some beers to make yourselves funny again.
8. Just join GOONS, they won't attack themselves. They'll never know what hit them!
9. Congrats to both involved, so many optionals in there, perhaps a bit more commitment in the next one, but always a good way to foster a greater relationship. Schatt... Been awhile
10. Peacetime treaty cancelation... Rather unfortunate especially considering how confused one side seems to be about it. But perhaps that was the problem, communication doesn't seem to have been all that great between you two. Best of luck.
11. Overall bad, they rarely add anything new to the game. Usually end up drawing a few active members from major alliances in order to start. Generally they are unstable, ending up being a liability for their protector as they are unable to fend for themselves while very rarely being able to grow to a stage where they are no longer simply a pawn of a major alliance. They add too much complexity to the treaty web for their worth in an actual war. (except bickering, they are good at that).
12. I blame Gibs. But otherwise, conspiracies can be fun.
13. A wise decision. At first I thought Manis posting this meant he was AC, I was afraid for a second.

15. It's a trap! But carry on... Congratulations guys, hope a closer friendship works out better this time around. o/ GATO o/ NPO
16. Well you are infinitely better at keeping secretes than I am! This gives a rather interesting twist on the history of CN , though I never knew Grenval, I did know VX and he was a pretty decent guy.
17. Congratulations my brown comrades. It sure has been a hell of a ride to 6 years! To the people who don't "get" GATO, just join it for a few weeks and see it from the inside. It is forever evolving to protect its future, I am sure if this game is around 6 years from now GATO will be as well! Cheers.
18. IAA, I thank you for all of the service and loyalty that you have again and again shown my former home and now humble ally GATO. Through times of extended pain and some of the worst hardships Bob has ever seen, GATO always had an ally to standby her side and fight the good fight. It was always a pleasure to do business with you. The relationship between GATO and IAA is like none other, good luck in your new home IAA. I am sure GATO is more than welcoming as you step into the General Assembly. It is sad to see you go. o/ IAA /o GATO
19.
I don't remember it ever taking GATO years to recover..........GATO has always bounced back fairly quickly as I recall...and always stronger than what we were previously. You're weird. Everyone is saying that we changed our attitude because we have "new friends".....you do realize we've been tied into CnG quite heavily for years now right?
Years to recover in relation to other alliances in the game, 7 million now is significantly different than the 7 million awhile back, though certainly not discounting the achievement I am truly happy you got there so don't attempt to skew this as "ZOMG I HATE GATO" because I most certainly do not and I wish the best to GATO. If GATO were stronger after every recovery, they'd be far on top of the world of CN, so be a bit mindful of history. Granted I also applaud the external stability. Also I made no mention of new friends, I am very much tied to CnG (obviously) and don't believe it had an effect on the integrity or culture of GATO. I am also quite aware of the politics concerning GATO/CnG et. al... I was rather referring to internal tendencies of late, not so much foreign affairs.
