The following territories are to be considered brought into the fold of Imperial Government and protection. They are now the sovereign territory of the Babylonian Empire: Saudi Arabia Kuwait Qatar Oman UAE Bahrain Public Imperial negotiators in the territories that had been annexed had been establishing strong links with the lands surrounding the Empire, flooding their markets with Imperial goods and wares. In the intervening months since this process had started, the process of annexation began, with imperial police forces taking over the territory in a peaceful and none-provocative manner. The result was a huge success. The Empire would always recruit local workers and after taking over as the regional Government, many, many more divisions have opened up and need staffing. Hundreds of thousands of vacancies are became open for skilled workers, and if they are not skilled, they need not worry. If they spoke to their local Imperial authority, they could get information on how to sign up to the Imperial Apprenticeship Schemes. The IAS is a project which works in tandem with the other educational institutes to help ensure that the people will always have the ability, to learn a trade, or learn a new trade. Civilian adminisrators were already on the ground organizing the local Governments and putting in place all the promises that the central Government in New Babylon had committed itself to. However, like all recent additions to the Empire, safeguards were put in place for regional autonomy. It was concluded that only Arabia would be brought into the fold. Public Imperial Decree: Following a strategic analysis of our recent territorial claims, the Empire will now only be anexing Saudi Arabia. As of now, the Imperial Government has cancelled its optional defence alliance with Cascadia. Following the same doctrines and mission objectives that the rest of the Empire was subject to. The vast oil fields in paticular would be protected heavily by air and missile defences. Faith run schools and colleges will offer free education because the children are the nations future and we believe everybody is entitled to learn. Faith Universities however, will not be free, but several initiatives including Imperial Sponsored scholarship programs would allow many students to gain free tuition by the state. Furthermore, those wishing to join the Imperial Government, but want to go to University first, will be offered free higher education in exchange for a five year contract with the military. The Empire would strive to provide free healthcare to all registered citizens and as a result of this aim, a census will be taken in the new year. Public Economic The Imperial stockmarket opened today in a grand ceremony in central Riyadh. The Stockmarket hopes to attract foriegn investors to the ImperialTerritories to boost the national economy and GDP. Alongside the opening of the stockmarket, the Imperial Social Security program was made active. Imperial spokesmen say that the Social Security program will benefit those of the Imperial Territories later in life. Culture The Department of Culture and Tourism have been granted permission by the Imperial Government to make the 16th of June every year, the National Babylonian Film Day, a celebration of Imperial directors and producers who are striving to give the film industry a boost across the country by using films from across the Empire Science The Emperors advisors have begun pressuring the entral treasury to allocate funding to the development of a Space Program with the aims of landing a man on the moon. The present Imperial Space Agency has only been tasked with launching dozens of satellites for commerical companies and the military. Furthermore, a special branch of the militaries top minds have been put together to man the network of National Research Labratories. It will begin producing and distributing vaccines to chemical and biological agents across the nation to NRL Centers that are due to open later in the year. This comes at the forefront of an Imperial initiative to ensure everything can be done to minimise damage done after a Chemical or Biological weapons attack. Military The Imperial Army Engineer Corps is a specialist, non-combatant formation in the military with the sole purpose of construction and development of military projects. However, the IAAEC aswell as the Imperial Army Medical Corps, another non-combatant formation, can both be deployed by the Disaster Relief Agency, aswell as their assorted vehicles, as part of the rapid response doctrine put in place by the DRA. The Disaster Relief Agency has been allocated extra funding taken from the coffers which has allowed it to create a specialised Nuclear, Chemical and Biological relief division. This division will be remaining on high alert 24/7 and be ready for immediate deployment to anywhere in the world to assist in clean up efforts and humanitarian relief in a contaminated environment. Energy Up to forty nuclear power stations are to be build says the Imperial Office of Energy as aims to reduce the Empires carbon emmisions by up to 30%. Windfarms are also being proposed to the Government later this week as protestors against the mass industrialisation of the south celebrated a victory. Having spent weeks protesting against the pollution such sectors will be immiting, new environmental protection laws have been put in place requiring all industrial buildings to be constructed and operated with minimum emmissions. A summary of new laws, regulations and policies enacted by the central Imperial Government that all Imperial Provinces much enforce: 1 - Eat Right, Play Right Campaign: A national campaign to educated kids on the importance of eating healthier, and getting more daily exercise. This campaign will be advertised through all sources of media, and includes the creation of government funded day camps for kids who want a healthy, exercise filled experience. 2 - Biometric Passports: High technology passports that attempt to identify people entering and leaving the country with collection of fingerprints and retinal scans. 3 - Power Conservation Act: Launches a nationwide effort to educate children on the importance of reducing power consumption 4 - Green Preservation Act: Protects vital sites of ecological importance across your country from industrial or residential expansion. 5 - Public Internet Access Act: Government funded public internet access. 6 - Green Energy Promotion Act: Encourages national sustainability by promoting renewable energy sources, and providing grants for the construction of private solar panels and windmills. 7 - Maths and Sciences Outreach Act: Creates a program to increase interest in the math and sciences in an effort to bolster the nation's educated. 8 - Intellectual Freedom Act: Enshrines the right to freely use information whether in print, digital, or otherwise within the Imperium. 9 - Free Higher Education Act: The government will pay for all higher education, which could increase university uptake and therefore tax incomes but costs 1% of income to implement. Such plans including the expansion of New Babylon and the further development of the massive industrial sectors now springing up around our oil fields in Arabia. The disaster relief agency has been formed to rapidly combat natural and man made disasters in the nation aswell as assist other nations around the world who undergo a catastrophe. The DRA head, Catalina Brancas, has said the funds will be used to build up stockpiles of medicine, food, clean water and an air fleet to rapidly deploy to stricken areas, furthermore it's estimated that the DRA will employ anything up to 50,000 staff. Zoot Zoot Posted July 6, 2014 Author Report Share Posted July 6, 2014 Public With Greece having collapsed, the Empire is announcing its intention to reclaim the remaining territory of Anatolia and formally annex it into the Empire. With this announcment, the 3rd Corps has begun advancing into the region to return stability and civilian administrators will follow in the next few weeks. With respect to the city of Istanbul/Constantinople, the Empire has no intention of entering the city, or laying any claim. Discussion will be raised with the European Community regarding the city, and the remaining territory of Marmara west of the Bosphorus.
