With the Scots begining drilling operations in the North Sea oil fields, Albion had to act to ensure that its own oil reserves in the North sea were not infringed on.Albions own oil firms moved swiftly to establish their own rigs in the North sea, south of the Anglo/Scottish border obviously to avoid confrontation with Scottish authorities. However, small patrol units of two or three LCS's provided routine patrols along the maritime border and around Albions EEZ in the north sea. No moves would be made to antagonise the Scots on the matter.

In London, Parliament began drafting plans for a diplomatic mission to Edinburgh to discuss territorial issues that may arise from the join exploitation of the North Sea oil fields.

The third redemption rocket test was a success. The launch which was delayed by bad weather, took place today. The habitat module successfully detatched from the main body of the rocket and was safely guided back down to a safe landing in the Atlantic. The main body of the rocket is expected to be brought down from its orbit later in the month via a remote control link so it can be recovered and used again.

A message is sent to the English craft inviting the crew to dinner on Legion's Moon Base.

Redemption One would recieve the message around half way through their journey towards the moon. Responding on the same connection, the invite was accepted, but could only be honoured towards the end of the moon mission when all experiments and critical tests had been completed.

A detailed file of the recent explorations of the badly damaged Solar Empire habitats and industrial domes is transmitted to the English Space Craft with the hope that they'll take the information seriously and proceed with great care if they should poke around the ruins. A list of recommended gear is included calling for an assortment of protective equipment that is available for loan should the English spacemen not have it with them. With that being concluded four kegs of home brewed beer are rolled out for the party and a diverse selection of home cooked foods are ordered from the wildly eclectic Legionnaire ethnic backgrounds.

The information was taken and would be stored in the spacecrafts databanks to be uploaded to the high tech spacesuits used by the Astronauts for instant reference should they decide to explore the ruins once on the Lunar surface. It would still take another few days to reach the Lunar orbit.

Classified - Skynet Central

The Supermarine Spitfire III is a sixth generation stealth fighter. The SS3 is intended to be a light-weight supplement to existing 5.5 generation fighters and certainly not as a replacement. Special focus will be placed into the design to reduce IR emissions and the radar cross section of the aircraft, aswell as being of a flat, delta wing design to create less surface area and shapes that could compromise the stealth of the aircraft.

The SS3 will use conventional, existing munitions would likely be of the “dial an effect” type, able to cause anything from impairment to destruction of an air or ground target.
Materials and microelectronics technologies would combine to make the aircraft a large integrated sensor, possibly eliminating the need for a nose radar as it is known today. It would be equipped for making cyber attacks as well as achieving kinetic effects, but would still have to be cost-effective to make, service, and modify. The vast amounts of data will be available to SkyNet. SkyNet will see wide-ranging, intuitive views of “the extended world” around the aircraft. The aircraft will collect its own data and seamlessly fuse it with off-board sensors, including those on other aircraft. The difference from fifth generation will be the level of detail and the automatic target recognition using the vast network of data that would be made available by SkyNet and the aircrafts sensors.

Embedded sensors and microelectronics will also make possible sensor arrays in locations that previously weren’t available because of either heat or the curvature of the surface, providing more powerful and comprehensive views of the battlefield. The SS3 will have a much more lightweight and hold more space for weapon systems due to the elimination of wiring system and pilot. The introduction of nanotechnology and photonics the SS3 will allow the faster processing of information much faster than a standard 5th gen aircraft. A photonic system will have a much tougher resiliance from digital attack. The aircrafts flight systems would be networked through a secure data link to SkyNet and immersing it into the RAF's domination doctrine.

New F600 engines will increase individual engine thrust 65,000 pounds of thrust per engine and they will be fitted onto the Redcoat to minimize the IR and acoustic signatures especially when using super cruise. The SS3's new engines will have sharply shaped S-shaped intake ducts that shield the compressor fan from reflecting radar waves aswell as being designed to disguise the infrared emissions, reducing the threat of infrared homing ("heat seeking") surface-to-air or air-to-air missiles, including flatter thrust vectoring nozzles.

Announcement from the Kingdom of England over the Emergency Broadcast System

The Government of England still functions after the heinous nuclear attacks against our cities. As this is broadcast, hundreds of thousands of soldier are being deployed to the devastated ruins of nine English cities to begin search and rescue, humanitarian and disposal operations.

The response was quick and equally devastating. Southern Ireland was saturated with nuclear fire, the North was left to avoid casualties against our German comrades.

Estimated casualties are as follows:
London - 2,000,000 dead
Newcastle - 800,000 dead
Sheffield - 500,000 dead
Middlesbrough - 75,000 dead
Portsmouth - 100,000 dead
Stoke - 200,000 dead
Hull - 150,000 dead
Wigan - 70,000 dead
Southend - 120,000 dead

Rest assured people of England that order has not been lost and chaos does not rule this nation. We have been struck a blow, and we struck back harder. Today we begin grieving our losses, tomorrow we begin rebuilding what we have lost and restoring these cities.

In the north, our armies strike hard at our Scottish enemies, in the North Sea, they were dealt a crushing defeat at the hands of our sailors. England has struggled with war and destruction before, and always overcome such difficulties, and we will again.

This Government will do everything it can to ensure England's survival after this murderous attack.

If you are in the affected areas, move out of the danger zones and into the country side, military airborne patrols will find you and take you to safety. Crisis centers are being established across the nation with medical aid, food, water and shelter.

Tune into this frequency every day at noon for updates and announcements regarding your nearest crisis center and news about the war.

This is Prime Minister Max Fisher speaking to you on the EBS.

200,000 fighting in Scotland, the remaining 500,000 T-800's, as well as the National Disaster Relief Agency, English Red Cross and other charities and workforces were massively deployed to the devastated towns and cities across England. London's walls, built after the last nuclear attack still stood strong and around its base camps began springing up for displaced civilians under the organization of humanitarian forces.

Elsewhere in the country, military units began moving people into Wales into established refugee camps, stadiums and empty housing estates. Processed/canned food stockpiles in the Pennine shelters were distributed under heavy guard and Martial Law was declared as well as a state of emergency.

On the edges of each city and town that was hit, vast pits of earth were dug up for the mass disposal of bodies to prevent disease taking hold and killing even more. Most of the radiation had been blown into the atmosphere by now due to the air burst's of the nukes, so little contamination of the ground was found but people were still informed and instructed on how to properly decontaminate and avoid radiation sickness.

Skynet controlled helicopters and Ospreys combed over the destruction and the countryside around the cities looking for survivors, if they were found, they were taken to the nearest crisis center for processing before being taken to temporary housing units.

Skynet had been designing a new machine in the wake of the nuclear attacks against England. The T-800m was a specially designed, non combat unit with the purpose of disaster relief, emergency medical aid and battlefield triage. These designs were sent to every factory still operational after the attacks, which was roughly 90% of them due to their locations away from cities, and the factories began the process of construction.

The automated train lines across England would allow the finished T-800m's to be loaded directly onto them from the production lines for immediate transport to the nine afflicted cities as well as crisis camps. Each day, ten thousand machines left the factories on endless convoys of trains to the disaster areas.

Citizens of England. We are working hard, day and night without stopping to recover survivors from the disaster areas, we are constantly pulling people out of shelters, tube stations deep below the earth and other protected locations in the cities. We can safely say that Radiation has dissipated from the affected areas and they are now safe to move through. We do however recommend that only food and water provided from crisis camps be consumed. Please take into account that England is at war, we are under martial law and rationing is in effect. Conserve your food and water.

On the front lines, the First and Second Legions have captured the Borders and Lothian and Strathclyde. Edinburgh is now under attack by the Second Legion and the First Legion is rapidly advancing on Glasgow.

We are winning this war England, the war against Scotland and the war against our devastated cities. We will take back our ruins and we will rebuild.

News from the front lines
The First Legion has captured Edinburgh and secured the Lothian county from Scottish forces. Over three days the assault raged against the city as our forces swept through the Scottish capital, street by street. During a routine sweep in the aftermath of the assault and subsequent surrender of the city by the towns people after the last of its garrison was killed in Edinburgh Castle, nearly all of the Scottish Governments ministers were discovered and arrested. They are presently being held at York Fortress as political prisoners and will be released at the end of the war.

Casualties sustained so far from the campaign, including those of the second Legion are four hundred and sixty four, with an unconfirmed number over a thousand being wounded. Prisoners of war taken during the campaign number over forty thousand so far and are being held at a series of PoW camps in Lancashire, Yorkshire, and aboard Royal Prison Ships. They will also be released at the wars end.

The Second Legion are presently laying seige to Glasgow and an assault is expected any day now.

The Orkeys, Shetlands and Outer Hebrides have all been captured following a series of daring raids and assaults by members of the Parachute Regiments and the SAS with support from Royal Navy warships.

In other news, we have the only known image taken of the nuclear attack on London. Sent in by a Mr Bashford, a student in South West London. He was rescued on the outskirts of London after following the Thames downstream after suffering extreme burns and a broken arm, his camera around his neck.

BBC News
With the war in Scotland now over and the massive damages inflicted across the United Kingdom are slowly being repaired and rebuilt by the military and the army of contractors that have been hired by the Government to restore the cities that were destroyed. However during the reconstruction efforts, the military will have a heavy presence around all major cities.

As part of a new inititive taken by the Government under the request of the King, all major cities in Britain will feature massive defence grids to defend against missile attack. Whilst our Strategic Defence Inititive defeat most of the Irish nuclear weapons, the ones that got through were devestating. As a result, major cities will feature massive upgrades in ballistic missile defence.

In other news, Prime Minister Max Fisher is reported to be in Mexico on the United Kingdoms first diplomatic mission since before the war of Union.

Scotland was brought under the net of defences that protected the rest of England and Wales over the following months after the wars end. Whilst in England and Wales the military was an ever present force across the country as the massive efforts were underway to rebuild the south, Scotland was enjoyed a lack of visible military forces. Confined to their bases, they were only deployed around Scotland when they were establishing the automated links, bases and constructing the defences that would bring Scotland within the fold.

In Porton Down, home to Skynet's central processor, the Supermarine Spitfire III designs had been finalised and were sent to the factories for production. Only sixty would be produced. They would replace the six squadrons of typhoons that were being phased out and placed into the pennine storage bunkers.

Public Government Announcement

In light of the recent war and national levels of damage inflicted during and after the nuclear attack, on the authority of the King and Parliament, a bill was passed this morning to authorize a draft of all able bodied men between the ages of sixteen to forty to assist the military and other paramilitary and disaster relief forces in rebuilding Britain.

Letters will be dispatched to all applicable citizens of the United Kingdom before the end of the month who will be required to turn in to their assigned military base within two weeks to begin training.

The drafted forces will not be permitted to be used in front line military operations and are to be non-combat units although they will be trained for combat scenarios and public disorder scenarios.

In light of recent events, food rationing is now in place across the country and distribution centers have been set up within unaffected cities, and the temporary housing estates that have been developed to rehouse those presently in the refugee camps. The refugee camps will be dismantled over the next year as more temporary housing is established.

However, the decision has been made to wall off, decontaminate, and completely level eight of the affected cities. Due to their level of destruction, it is unfeasible at this time financially to reconstruct eight entire cities. London however, is to be reconstructed with the sole purpose as being the seat of Government. It will not be rebuilt as an urban center. Within the boundaries of the old city walls, a specially constructed network of buildings will provide the home of British Government and housing for officials and workers.

It's like in the great stories people of this United Kingdom, the ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, and sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end it's only a passing thing, this shadow, even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines it'll shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something even if you were too small to understand why. But I think I do understand, I know now, people in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going because they were holding on to something. I commend all the work and sacrifices being undertaken by British citizens across the country to forge a future for our people.

Signing off
Max Fisher.

Newcastle is not being rebuilt. Only London is being reconstructed in a limited form to house the seat of Government. Newcastle, along with the other seven destroyed cities are to be walled off and leveled until such a time in the future that it is economically feasible to undertake such a project. We politely decline your offer.

Classified but available to Germany

A message was sent to German forces in Ireland and in Berlin requesting that Britain once again be placed under German protection. The military would be disarmed and placed in a public disorder prevention role so anarchists couldn't take advantage of the situation and they would remain activated until German forces took over.

Disaster area workers continued as normal alongside the machine forces assisting them. All WMD's were taken apart and taken to secure locations and locked up, the locations of which would be provided to German forces for addition security.

All sensitive information was destroyed, military plans, designs and communications with other nations were all incinerated and wiped utterly from hard drives. Skynet, unable to self terminate set the Porton Down to self destruct via large yield fuel air weapon that was implanted deep beneath the base to prevent German scientists from unlocking its secrets. The explosion was probably detectable, but would cause no environment damage.

The entire wealth of Britain was transferred to Germany's treasury, it would be sufficient enough to cover the cost of most of the regeneration of nuclear afflicted areas in England and Ireland.
