Procinctia Versus the Great Pacific Garbage Patch

Ever hear about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch? It’s a great patch of garbage in the Pacific, and somewhat self-explanatory. According to evidence acquired by looking through an old stack of late 90’s era Procinctian pulp action scientist comics swashbuckling high seas adventurer Charles Moore discovered this swirling maelstrom of trash in 1997 whilst wrestling the Kraken.

Procinctia has considered incorporating several massive islands of trash into our territory, but our research indicates they are islands of trash.

Procinctia’s Technocratic Progress Party is still looking into it, but we’re 85% sure this can’t be good for the environment.

Maybe, as advocated by some prominent ecologists, stopping throwing stuff into the ocean or avoiding ecologically destabilizing nuclear wars might help.
These types of long term solutions simply aren’t awesome enough for our sensibilities.
Procinctia’s solution is significantly more straightforward – KILL IT WITH FIRE!
We’re looking to destroy the Great Pacific Garbage Patch in a spectacular spectacle of superior firepower.
There is but one minor obstacle implementing this initiative - Procinctia doesn’t have a (standing) military.

Procinctia formally requests assistance from the world’s various militaries powers to combat threats from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

"Guyana advocates gathering the trash and firing it into the sun.
Or recycling what can be recycled and firing the rest into the sun."
While an innovative and practical solution this would be time and resource intensive, also boring as hell.
We believe the Great Pacific Garbage Patch should be nuked multiple times with multiple multi-tonne nukes.

The Selenarctos Aerospace Consortium offers to sell any of our export-approved aircraft, land, and ship-deployable munitions including but not limited to phosphorous, incendiary, and fuel-air warhead-equipped bombs and missiles to Proctincia in support of operations against the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

Proctincia, still lacking a standing military, doesn’t have anyone qualified to operate any of this equiptment but it’s a start!
Maybe Selenarctos personnel? What if we paid each soldier quadruple pay? Would compensation to Selenarctos for every soldier volunteering help?

"Alternatively, we could gather all trash up in one huge ball of waste and fire it at Jupiter in an attempt to see what that would do to the gas giant.
The impact could be rather amazing fireworks."

Hurling tons of junk at a gas giant just to see what happens, Brilliant!
Considering how far way Jupiter is that’s a long-term commitment.
We’re also not entirely sure gathering all the trash is particularly more efficient then destroying it outright.

Crashing everything into Jupiter for a spectacular fireball isn’t what’s tediously time consuming here.
We also have equiptment on loan from Selenarctos, equiptment that need to be used, because a weapon unused is a useless weapon.
Moreover testing applications of high yield explosions against the Great Pacific Garbage Patch is equally scientific

We’re obligated to consider this proposal because you mentioned doing SCIENCE in the context of doing SCIENCE
Procinctia will support Guyana’s proposal for Procinctia initiative.
First, however, we need to burn through Selenarctos munitions to burn something.
We request Guyanan military assistance to help us unload what we have on the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
Once that’s settled our nations can come together and launch flotsam at Jupiter, for SCIENCE!

Guyana will gladly send a carrier battlegroup to aid Procinctia in 'disposing' of the Selenarctos-provided materiel by using it on the garbage patches.
With your permission, we will send the force within the week so we can do SCIENCE.
(Please note that the carrier would have appropriate equipment on board to measure the effects of Selenarctos' equipment on the garbage)

In the meantime we’ll try to devise an appropriate strategy for what we have designated Operation: Sedna’s Purification – coordination welcome.

Procinctia endorses any desire the Athenian Federation has to unload their nuclear arsenal on the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

The Republic of Texas would be willing to sell 10,000 pounds if Napalm to Procinctia.
We hope that if Procinctia uses nuclear weapons then they be careful for the fallout which could reach islands in the pacific.

Video it too please.

The Republic of Texas would be willing to sell 10,000 pounds if Napalm to Procinctia
Procinctia will enthusiastically purchase all five tones of Texan napalm.
Texas is invited to join Operation: Sedna’s Purification, you can even use the napalm we just purchased (from you).

Procinctia is extremely skeptical of possible fallout threat to any Pacific islands.
Doctor Hugo’s Global Radiation Conference decisively disproved the dangers of fallout.

The USRS condemns any attempt to burn said garbage due to the heavy environmental toll it will inflict, which will be far heavier and widespread than it is in its present condition.

We suggest said garbage patch is collected, what can be recycled, is recycled and the rest be fired at the sun... With lots of rockets.

"The damage to the environment that burning these patches would do is far outclassed by the damage the UFE, Cochin or Rebel Army do each and every day simply by existing and fueling their factories. What little pollution burning the trash would create is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
Not to mention this is for SCIENCE!"
