    Coming to the aid of the treaty partner?? You make it sound like iFOK was being assaulted by some oppressive force and FOK magnanimously has come to their defense against a bully. I'm calling...!@#$%^&*. This is the equivalent of [ooc] the U.S. going to great Britain and being like "yeah, turns out some dude in luxemberg sent 50 bucks to Al Quada, we need your help to go kill him" [/ooc]. Kriek should have been able to take on Amonra with ease and won.

    Are you being intentionally obtuse? FOK and iFOK are claiming right here in this thread that aiding the AAF raid victim was an "act of war". Which remains and always will be, worthy of derision by any sane individual

    if luxemburg was bigger than the US, your story would be correct. And would GB turn them down? Don't think so. And would france go crying about it in the OOC: OWF boards?

    Why would they need help with one nation.

    Because there were only 2 people in IFOK within his range at the time, 1 was arexes (who attacked) the other was mikethefirst (who had 7k infra less than the guy)

    So if you don't have any nations to hit him with, you call your allies.

    Its quite common.

    Perhaps you were not present in the peacetalks, but certainly FOK has a military and diplomatic clout that both sides would have been well aware of.

    Said clout would most likely have been brought to bear if a conclusion favorable to iFOK could not be found, so in a way, FOK still influenced the peace talks.

    Actually, HellAngel is insinuating that the reason iFOK was able to do this at all was because of FOK influence, thus it has a lot to do with FOK.

    This is not entirely without basis, either.

    I can assure you that FOK! didnt have anything to do with the peacetalks between the 2 alliances.

    We were only informed.

    If you talk about indirect influence (NS wise) I have no idea how AmonRa thought about this.

    I believe when you look at the list of founders, you'll see 8 or 9 rulers who have spent several years as leaders of nations on planet bob and most, if not all, had previous experience governing an alliance and working on a world stage. That, combined with the unique nature of the alliance, seperates us from almost every other new alliance formed in the last 6 to 9 months.

    You misunderstand Sir, I do not ask becuase on my tech sellers was harmed. I am asking if my allaince was a tech seller for ANOTHER alliance would FOK afford that alliance the same security and courtesy of not attacking THEIR tech seller?

    Yes, If we feel that the nation is part of an alliance. As per the requirements listed above, FOK wouldnt attack that nation.

    Depends on your definition of an alliance.

    I'd say if you have an AA, made yourself publically known (DoE) and have more than 1/2 persons wearing the same AA (with the exeption of PPK, cause we love Opethian) And preferrably have a treaty/protector

    You're an alliance!

    But protection always helps. Get treaty's!
