Perhaps you don't understand it because it has been delivered on a level above your intellect, ironic coming from an alliance called The Brain, wouldn't you say?
No, it's clearly incoherent.

You see, when most people make an announcement, they explain what has happened and what the outcome is. This is a collection of largely out of context chat snippets intermingled with directionless commentary and requests towards a specific individual to do something not clearly defined.

Obviously a work of genius. And when I say genius, I mean somebody who didn't think this through.

  2. I can't say I hate TOP, but I will say that there exist alliances in this world that karma hasn't caught up with yet. TOP and the former MCXA government in TSO are just two among those, for the pre-emptive attacks and draconian terms they issued in the War of the Coalition. They deserve to give up their tech to someone else, preferably under terms that forbid them from doing so through third parties.

CN has been as fun and entertaining in the past few months as it's ever been. There's war and there's mostly a clean OWF. Do shut up.
Indeed. Compared to the past, CN has been much better lately. I'm not sure how to improve it other than defeating all the alliances and nations I don't like.

This country needs to win. Seriously.

Hegemony was defeated because a good portion of Hegemony bailed and attacked Hegemony. If Sparta/MHA/TOP/Grämlins had remained in the Continuum, then the Karma war would never have happened, because the numbers would have dictated letting OV fall.
Grämlins never seemed like a good fit for Continuum, to be honest. I'm not sure why they were there except to avoid being attacked by Electron Sponge.

Even if the numbers were on Continuum's side, they weren't capable of fighting effectively unless they were overwhelming. Vox Populi dominated in propaganda, NPO nations largely didn't actually have enough money to fight a war, GGA had only one WRC owned by someone who got bill locked, and diplomacy between those alliances wasn't particularly great, considering the en masse treaty cancellation over lack of communication on NPO's part. I can't think of one thing Continuum or One Vision did well in that time.

Sparta, FOK and MHA aren't particularly much better alliances. That war was going to happen no matter what, we all knew that. They just escaped the consequences.

One of the luxuries of being neutral is that you don't need a warchest. It's not just that they go up the list in wartime, because they go up the list while others prepare for war.
One of the bad points of being neutral is that you don't have a war chest. Neutral alliances need to be rolled every once in a while. :smug:

    [21:24] <AlmightyGrub> seriously
[21:24] <AlmightyGrub> I am wasting my time in this mess of ego

It would have saved Polar a lot of trouble if Grub had just stayed with this point of view instead of declaring war on GOD.

Welp, so much for Polar's "we won't expect peace unless NSO gets out." !@#$%^&*. Complete and utter !@#$%^&*. Cancellation was warranted. Really, despite what's been going on with NpO recently, it isn't until now that my respect for them has actually plumetted. This is sad. Hopefully some proper terms will help you atone for this mess.

Okay, random hate-speech aside, best of luck to NSO, may you be able to secure you and your real allies some peace soon.
I don't recall NpO stating that they won't seek peace until NSO gets peace. Only that they re-entered on behalf of NSO, and that they are interested in peace for all parties involved in this conflict.

So FARK never offered to grant peace in exchange for one beer review? If it has "never been on the table", why did your alliance hold a vote as to whether or not to accept the deal? How did 86% of your alliance manage to reject an offer that wasn't made?

    /rhetorical questions
It's rather hard to get peace when you won't accept the other party's terms. I have a feeling a lot more than just a beer review is going to be demanded now.

    But the old Hegemony sucked.

We have Archon (whom the other side tried to recruit a few times, mostly NPO trying to get him :P) AND babyjesus so we are better by default
I remember that, the NPO regime trying to recruit Archon over. Maybe back when the NPO was stronger, that would have been a great idea. However, the hegemony that was defeated was a decayed and empty shell, a ghost in the image of once great alliances.

And the neutrals make like bandits. :(( Neutral Menace :((

Try poaching their members and setting them up to be attacked in a Just Crusade. I'm sure it would be lots of fun.

TOP was wrong in indulging their urge. Now they pay for it.
That indeed, they will.

You and your comrades will be called the new hegemony for it. However, whether that's bad or not is up to you to decide. In my view, it's not the wrong choice to do what's best for your alliance in a vicious world.

I would start out this wall by discussing the casus belli used to start this war, but that appears to be impossible, as no casus belli was used to start this war.
Contrary to popular belief, the term "casus belli" does not actually imply that the reasons were valid, or that they make sense. It's just a Latin phrase, which basically means their public justification for going to war.

Athens, in attacking Knights of Ni!, did not have a casus belli, because they did not announce their war or provide a reason for it.

Valhalla, in attacking Hyperion, arguably did not have a casus belli, if you believe there is truly an OOC-IC line, since Crescendolls did not admit to being Chickenzilla.

TOP declared they were against what C&G "stands for", which was the reason they went to war. Members of C&G Alliances were highly vocal in support of \m/, and even if this wasn't official alliance policy, it was enough for the leadership of TOP to feel justified in attacking. You can argue that it was wrong, but you can't say they don't have a reason.

If you're going to mock the quality of your opponents' propaganda, it's probably not the best idea to misspell "propaganda". Just saying.

  14. I'd be happy to make a tech deal with you, despite the war. I hereby propose:

you send 50 tech to me
I send 50 soldiers to you 10 days later

I think we'll all agree that this is fair. And by fair, I mean a traveling show; having sideshows and rides and games of skill etc.
