  1. If that's the case, Planet Bob completely sucks.

No nation should be punished for someone else's mistakes.

Why not? An alliance involves giving up a nation's sovereign nature to the group, which carries the risk of being responsible for the group. Outside of an alliance is a harsh world where you will undoubtedly be attacked for purposes of conquest. If you don't support and stand by your alliance all the way, why haven't you left yet?

P.S. I thought this topic was about Bob, also known as Penluque Solaris, at first, and not "Planet Bob", or as I like to call it, Planet Avril.

  2. Isn't that how you win?

No silly, you buy 50 cruise missiles to win. And land, lots of land.

But seriously I wouldn't know what infra jumps are after 14k or even that there were any. When you have more infrastructure than 99.85% of the game, it's best to figure out these things on your own.

  3. Ah. It depends on which part of Indonesia you're in. I thought the whole country was GMT +8. It isn't.

Sumatra, for example, is GMT +7 right now. Locations in Borneo and Sulawesi on the other hand, are GMT +8. Irian Jaya is GMT +8.5.

Regardless, people actually have lives which require them to be away from their computers. I certainly could never do an attack over update at 1 pm.

  4. The NoCB war.

Alright, for those who don't remember the origin of the name "NoCB War", Hyperion was attacked for trading with Chickenzilla's reroll nation, which he hadn't done anything with. There was no in-character basis for it, and therefore "no casus belli". I don't know how anyone can make a comparison here. The closest reason was that of Great War III, when GATO was attacked for Vincent Xander's supposed anti-Initiative intent, but I think we all agree that this is not a Great War so far.

This is more like the Clubbing Baby Seals War, to be honest. B)

  5. I honestly can launch a defense for either side in this argument but the stupidity that TPF and friends are basing their current defense on is making it very easy to me to side with Athens.

I'm just going to say that I concur with this sentiment. It's like Great War III all over again, well, except the whining from the AEGIS side about how it isn't legitimate and that there was intent but no action didn't depend on such absurd arguments. (with the exception of NAAC of course, the real NAAC, not Jack Diorno, who actually fought and spoke with some dignity)

And yes, I would completely do the same thing as Athens if I found out someone was doing this, provided there was enough NS backing me to get away with it.

  6. It's still an improvement over the old world where the war simply never ended (unless one side was defeated by a third party) -- at least TPF got a break. :)

Oh that's just ridiculous hyperbole. FAN, LSF and Vox were the only alliances to suffer that fate. Everyone else got terms.

But good luck to TPF in surviving this, especially if it actually is the case that they didn't do anything wrong.

  7. Well, this looks somewhat like \m/. I'll give you credit for that. But there's maybe three people I actually remember being in \m/ here, none of whom are WarriorConcept, ChairmanHal, mythicknight or Jason8, who I would consider the most famous remaining members. Chief Savage Man is probably the best you've got.

Also, you don't have the Initiative to back you up in doing whatever you want. How on Planet Avril do you expect to uphold the reputation of \m/ as "ruining the game for everyone else" when you can't hide behind the protection of a hegemonic bloc?! You certainly can't threaten to attack members of actual alliances not within your treaty web for saying things you disagree with, as back in the day.

And it's certainly fun to brag about tech raiding, but come on, it doesn't work any more. There's no vast supply of nukeless unaligned 50k NS nations out there.

So, why are you reforming \m/? It will be nothing like the exaggerated nostalgia and can never be, and has everyone's negative opinions of both \m/ and Bel Air piled onto it. In short, this is the dumbest idea I've seen in a long time.

  8. Ah, the ODN, finding new ways to make others annoyed with them once again. Just another poor decision in a long history. While losing an intelligence treaty is not impending doom, I shan't pass up the opportunity to express my dislike, and hope this turns into impending doom. B)

    I'll hail FOK for this.

  9. Right now, gaining streaks will display at 7, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, and 50 days. Losing streaks originally started at 5 and followed the same pattern, but since losses are more rare than gains, I've added three-day losses as well. That part is sort of going on a trial period right now.

Bah, I don't like this recording winning and losing streaks thing. The sanction race is becoming too complex!
