1. I believe its time to move towards a better future.

    o/

If that was your intent, you failed miserably. Rather than wallowing in self-pity over your past mistakes and claiming privileged information in response to challenges to your distorted version of facts, I highly suggest you work on seeking redemption rather than claiming "this has gone on long enough". You've just made it that much more difficult for anyone to trust you again.

I personally recommend travelling through the wilderness of nuclear bombardment, where the future's so bright, you'll have to wear shades. B)

  2. Vlad reaches 14k infra. Vlad decides not to go past 14k infra. As a result Vlad gets large warchest.

Clearly you just don't get our disapproval.

Infra is a waste of money after 14k put this in your sig if you're down

I'm sure TOP is planning some type of nefarious evil, but they operate at TOP speed, and nefarious evil is complicated, you know?

  3. My ruler name Katsumi was based a name I created with a few weeks before I started playing CN, Aida Katsumi. It's not all that common and has kind of a "cool" feel to it, as it contained a kanji character used primarily in male names with one used in female names, so I used it as the name of a character when I created my nation, especially as I was interested in roleplaying a tough female nation leader. I actually don't particularly like it now, but it's not something I can change without restarting my nation.

My nation name Chokan has very little behind it. I picked it on an impulse with some silly and since forgotten nonsensical meaning, but it was just meant primarily to sound Chinese.

My nation's current capital is Osaka-shi, the name of a famous city.

  4. I miss when people used to hate me, but I suppose that comes with not being the "NPO Troll Squad" any more even though I haven't really changed. Also, I've never really hated the Big Bad or Ivan Moldavi, but Watchman posting in this thread made me remember how much I despise him.

  5. Most entertaining IRC Channel

    #sos-dan

Yeah, it's a bit of a self-nomination, but everyone who goes there knows it's true.

Alliance most likely to succeed in 2010

    Independent Republic of Orange Nations

I think they're often overlooked with all the focus on the major blocs' politics, but their recovery from the last major war has been impressive.

  6. We actually are debating. (: a contention by words or arguments: as a : the formal discussion of a motion before a deliberative body according to the rules of parliamentary procedure b : a regulated discussion of a proposition between two matched sides )

You seem to think you're being clever in constantly telling everyone that they need a dictionary and posting definitions to ... I'm not sure what for exactly, to imply someone is not intelligent? Well in any case, it's getting old and nobody else gives a damn what the exact meaning of certain words are, just so you can play semantics. You deserve another nuke just for this alone.

  7. Looking forward to it. I mean, that's the least you can expect from such a dishonest alliance. And there's nothing you can say to protect yourself, all the proof's there. They started the nuclear war, even after we stated that we would and did not want to start one.

EDIT: I have fired a nuke at a nation who owns nukes but has not yet fired them upon me. I'm sorry for the attack, but I can no longer trust you guys. It's pretty sad that another has to pay for another's actions.

Spare me the melodrama. You spied away my nukes, so the rule is use them or lose them. I would have otherwise not bothered to fire them, in the same way I didn't nuke anyone from \m/ or Purple Unity despite having the capability of doing so.

  8. I've wanted to nuke admin's in-game nation for the past couple of years now. I doubt this is going to be an opportunity that presents itself to me, and I don't even know why, considering it's pretty stupid.

Another thing I've wanted to do is to start a pink team alliance that leads pink from being the home of terrible alliances and the object of constant derision to something like aqua is today. I'm pretty busy and a bit easily stressed out though, so this is a project I haven't initiated. If I ever do, I completely plan to be successful at it.

  9. I don't really hate anyone who hasn't quit or been banned already, and in fact some of these people have their usernames filtered. The worst I can say for the rest is I find certain people's posting style to be annoying - degenerate108 or whatever from GGA comes most prominently to my mind.

  10. I voted "no" to all. wF had good enough reasons to attack beyond the screenshot or even just a simple 'lol KDII', and yet you refuse to acknowledge that. The idea that if part of the evidence is wrong then it all must definitely be wrong is a fallacy. Furthermore, the only incompetent alliance here is UED, for having such poor control over their membership, not the ones who correctly responded to their dangerous lack of order.

  11. I just find it hilarious that a nation with 5 guerrilla camps and a Pentagon wonder went cherry picking a few much smaller Purple Unity nations. You show 'em football hero. <_<

Personally I didn't have to cherry pick. Their biggest nations were half the size of mine. B)

  12. I disagree with the assertion that the world has become increasingly moralistic. If you look at the recent Athens debacle and the responses it provoked, they were not at all a unified view. There were some that were opposed to tech raiding and always have been, some who just didn't like seeing an alliance get hit, some who disagreed with the departure from established precedent, and there were people like me who didn't give a damn about what happened to Knights of Ni! but just disliked how disingenuous the attackers were in downplaying what they were doing.

In fact, I take this as evidence that the Cyberverse has become increasingly multipolar in the absence of leadership. It is actually the case that the number of wars has declined, and perhaps that is because there is currently no alliance that is able and willing to reshape the world, when in the past this had been the domain of the Orders. This isn't necessarily a failure of the Vox movement but rather it's logical conclusion. I do believe that there are alliances led by those who intend to fill that void, and eventually they will start wars to advance their position.

That being said, if you're disappointed with the status quo (only four months postbellum), perhaps the problem is that you're not doing enough to change it rather than a failure of the Vox movement. In fact, I'd say the Vox movement was brilliant in a way that only the Orders themselves have been able to match.

So, don't just stand there, do something! B)

  13. Katsumi, you're out of touch. Those logs are from sometime in October, they've been on !@#$%* a bunch of times now.

Well, excuse me for being out of the secret logs loop, with me not being alliance leadership just like most everyone else reading this. I'll be sure to consult you next time I provide an example of why you shouldn't put information you don't want everyone to see where everyone can see it.

  14. Rev, they protested before the reparations were agreed to that your initial offer was impossible. You claimed it was possible. Eventually they agreed to a modified form of the original offer, which they said was still very difficult.

That's the simple truth. Nobody else has ever extracted 350,000 tech from 130 nations before. If they do it, it'll be the first time.

For reference, the New Polar Order had to provide 75,000 tech from only 30 nations, making that amount only approximately 7% higher on a per capita basis, and which was paid in 4 months I might add. Here we are 4 months past the announcement of surrender terms on 20 July, so in theory it should have been easily attainable to pay this tech off early.
