1. the 'high altitude' was probably in reference to the 'sensors' in that sentence, not the missiles.
2. with all due respect i refuse to acknowledge the existence of this post because 'With all due respect' is a sentence fragment and i cannot stomach posts that aren't 100 per cent grammatically flawless
3. There are plenty of folks not currently involved in the war-- Voodoo, Sarah, Brian, me, Zoot, among others. Granted, a lot of the people who would normally make the best choices for GM, like Rudolph and Yerushalayim, are up to their necks in the war, but I don't think it's that huge an issue.
4. dotCo-- oh. Well, let's say Voodoo and SarahTintagyl. EDIT: Changed my picks!
5. apparently the most rock-solid defence against this policy is to not be male
6. It was never your protectorate. The people voted to join Uriankhai and the EAI chose to attempt to trample the will of the people through espionage. Therefore, this is not only a war of aggression on your part, but in fact also a war of oppression. That being said, I'm not okay with the entire world being paused because Triyun is delaying the RP and you're not willing to disregard that and steamroll him. The fun thing about irrelevant OOC whining is that you can completely ignore it, because it's irrelevant.
7. First of all, let's not forget that I'm not attacking you; I'm merely defending myself from your aggression. Secondly, if Triyun is OOCly delaying your war with him for petty reasons, then simply proceed as if he hadn't done anything IC, which is essentially the case. He may be gaming the system OOCly, but you guys could very easily ignore that ICly and just steamroll him. Really doesn't have to be that complicated.
8. That's not really relevant to events in Asia.
9. I don't see anybody doing that. Certainly not in Asia, where you attempted to freeze the war.
10. I think this is the only timescale anybody needs or should employ. Honestly, the only time timescale comes up as a legitimate issue is when people try to force it to be an issue, since otherwise, it's really not a problem at all. If anything, attempting to get everybody under a single concrete timescale will cause more issues.
11. OOC: why would you respond OOC whilst quoting a post requesting that there be no more useless OOC posts. There is an OOC thread. That being said, Uriankhai are never aggressors! We are responding to the aggressive espionage of the Japanese imperialists.
12. OOC: I know that there are members of a foreign syndicate who appeared in my territory, coincidentally just as mysteriously well-funded 'separatist' groups sprung up in a region that had just voted overwhelmingly to join Uriankhai... something Japan was awfully butthurt over. I can connect the dots. Let that be the last whiny OOC post you do here, please.
13. OOC: The spy roll is irrelevant to this. Whether or not the spy roll succeeded, this will go forward.
14. I did get access to their tattoos-- because, you know, some of them went and overdosed on narcotics, like truly professional and efficient spies do. From there, it's really not hard to identify Japanese people, or foreigners in general, in the region, screen them out, and then discover their tattoos. And unless your criminals have telepathy, there's really no means for them to so quickly communicate their capture to their leaders... at least, not one that I would not have intercepted and used to get further up the chain of command.
15. I have no reason to think I got the lowest on the totem pole. I got whoever will get me the information I need-- because, you know, won the spy roll. I don't even need to arrest them, I just need to have the investigators use the fact that the tattoos on the bodies identified them as members of the syndicate for them to know exactly what they need to be looking for-- I don't even need a spy roll for that, it's just logic. From there, it's just a matter of intercepting communications. Unless it's going to conveniently turn out the syndicate's sole form of communication is through trained parrots that relay messages.
16. The verdict is in and the dice were rolled and they weren't in your favour. Deal with it. Really, as long as you have criminals in my territory spying, there has to be some line of communication from them going back to their authorities. Otherwise, frankly, they'd be so comically inept I wouldn't even have needed the spyroll.
17. My spyroll was reactive rather than proactive, and I had RPed an investigation under way long before I actually had the spy roll done. Sorry, you're not weaseling your way out of this one.
18. I'm sure Markus would have stated so if that had been the case. Nice metagaming with that last post of yours though.
19. One spy roll to trace Mogar's 'spies' (or criminals discreetly employed by the EAI who somehow still have the training and professionalism of spies, or whatever they are), their funds and their backing, back to the EAI. Thanks!
20. Khün nodded, and shortly thereafter received the document in question. She read it over quickly-- because helming a sovereign nation does necessitate a certain degree of paranoia, after all-- but found, much as could be expected, nothing that had not already been agreed upon. And so, with that, she signed off on the modest little accord.
