You mean when Lucius owned up to being a dummy and took what came his way? And we all said it was good to own up to being a dummy and taking the consequences?

Or when veracity was a dummy and CLAWS sent him war aid?

I suppose you're right that different spheres have entirely different standards of behavior. Some alliances have very little standard of morality at all.

Giving examples to prove my point that different alliances (and spheres) have different standards of behavior is accurate. That's why it doesn't make sense to publicly litigate CBs. We agree to disagree.

In your examples, you're forgetting that RFI at large condemned veracity and sanctioned him. Hell, I think Argent resanctioned him recently. I for the record, condemn him as well and ordered the sanction on brown. Won't do a thing for him until we see some form of public penance, if ever. And while Lucius & TIE stood up and took their blows (and were rightfully praised for it!), the rest of the sphere pushed false narratives about how Lucius was entrapped and from what I understand nearly entered that war.

Really, standards of morality vary a lot even person to person, let alone alliance to alliance or sphere to sphere.

Like it's not an irrational belief to believe that we have different standards, because it's been so obviously proven and you're even agreeing with me here (even if we disagree on very specific points of morality, but that wasn't my point... I was talking about how there tends to be a lot of circlejerking before facts come out of situations)

Wasn't meant to be seen as a thinly veiled insults Tevron. I apologise if you think it was.

Its interesting you raised thrash as he was not involved with the summit..

Was utilising a case study for teaching people across bob.  Don't declare war or have arguments with people unless you know what your best and worst case scenarios are.

Apology accepted, no harm no foul. I raised the other points to establish further context, since it seems there is a lot of misinformation floating out there.

Well that explains why you couldn't identify your end goals when we asked during the summit.

Note for aspiring leaders and everyone in life.

Go to war with a general knowledge or concept of how to win the peace.

Another thinly veiled insult ! BINGO!!!!!!

In seriousness, I understood the objective rather clearly to be a bit of punitive war followed by white peace, with the hope that we could all move on but the expectation that this wouldn't happen, since it was apparent that certain people, namely Thrash, were unwilling to bury their overall grudges with RFI, especially CLAWS. I entered and left the peace summit satisfied. If my allies had other objectives that were left unmet, that's news to me.

The above quotes were to demonstrate that we never intended to push for any disbandment or extermination of your alliance, especially since most of the blame falls on just a couple individuals. Personally, I hope that this is the end of the story of the Bicycle War and we can finally move on in a more productive direction. You're welcome to open an embassy and re-establish ties with GATO. Our alliances have history together and the General Assembly does genuinely like some of your members. Had I been exposed to your fairly cool-headed disposition, it's very possible that this war may have never happened, at least on the GATO end of things.

I don't actually believe you are this stupid, and I hope you can one day find a sense of self-dignity to stop parroting this nonsense.

I'd love it if you made actual points instead of just thinly veiled insults to people you don't like. The fact of the matter is it was never worth litigating this war because people were always going to circlejerk in disagreement with the CB, logs present or not. Just take a look at the TIE war and how Lucius' actions were religiously defended by his allies almost universally. Juxtapose that to how veracity's situation was handled and you can see that there are different standards of behavior from different spheres in general -- there is simply little to no reason to litigate what is considered good and bad conduct diplomatically when it is evident that hurling subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) insults at rulers who are outside of your sphere is the major substance that is offered every time. That has always been and will always remain the recurring problem for the vocal minority that dominates the OWF, especially regarding the promotion of falsehoods to push spun narratives.

Take this quote for example, an idea I repeatedly saw 'parroted' on the OWF and also in DMs that has no basis in reality.

    Quote

The crime, in this case, was an attempt to get RFI/Oc to wipe NG and Cobra out of the game. Make the punishment fit the crime, you say?

To demonstrate how untrue this is, here are some quotes from the planning channel for this war:

    Quote

[1:49 AM] I think objectives won't be determined by us anyway, least regarding NG/COBRA.
[1:49 AM] How do you mean?
[1:50 AM] They're so unpredictable that even if we meet objectives, it's unlikely to end on our terms due to that.
[1:50 AM] So broad ones are almost necessary.
[1:52 AM] It's not like we'll be pressing for terms

[1:56 PM] The war shouldn't be a drawn out affair, and harkening back to the 'good old days', the way these sorts of things were handled.

[1:21 PM] We level them and we're done unless it becomes global
[1:21 PM] We don't need to get a surrender or apology from them

The Bicycle War was never a war of extermination; if that was the goal then I don't think a single AA in the coalition would've signed up for it. Your harassment aside, we're not about driving people into the ocean. And please, treat other people decently and attack their arguments instead of them, it would really do a lot to make people outside of the usual twenty posters engage with the dialogue on the OWF.

I can't tell if you're just being dishonest or you genuinely have no idea what was said during peace negotiations. If it's the latter you should hit up JA for the logs, because you make yourself look foolish by claiming this all hinged on Hitchcock.

Had that actually been the case, I'd take the ongoing war against LH as all the proof I'd need that his claims were legitimate. If you maintain that he's a joke and a leaky faucet then you should just be laughing straight to the bank instead of sullying your reputations by validating LH's logs in this manner.

Furthermore, when are people going to learn to stop saying compromising things in front of him? Is no one responsible for what they say? I can't even imagine what good faith argument justifies the mental hoops one has to go through in order to believe that the war ended due to some realization about LH's logs, except that you might have been misinformed. Lastly, if I know not to say anything dumb in front of Hitchcock then I'm sure the people who've been in contact with him regularly should be able to do me one better.

EDIT: As per requested by GATO's allies and GATO themselves, we hereby declare war on GATO so GATO doesn't have to vote to declare on us. @Tevron please confirm. Also say we are nice lol.

Instructions for Boognish alliances remain the same. Gun down Claws.

The Global Alliance and Treaty Organization recognizes that this declaration appears to be regular in form and authentic. And that this was fulfilled in request to the conclusion of the peace summit, as proposed by Stewie of Non Grata and Johnny Apocalypse of COBRA.

Oh how the turns table, it's giving me flashbacks. After renanimating the corpse of Non Grata its sad to see that you became the thing you rolled again and again. Guess you were on the wrong side all those years ago. It's funny to consider that you should protest so much in this case after never having done so for the many wars you were involved in organizing. A selection:

While most of the world spends their time reminiscing over our nostalgic and better pasts, the Global Alliance and Treaty Organization does the exact same thing, but better. In the last year, a lot (and not a lot) has happened with regard to GATO, especially since today is our big day, our 15th birthday! We can (almost) drive!

What has happened in the last year? Well, during the Snake Eyes War, we had 61 members. Today we also have 65 members -- at least when I wrote this. GATO has remained relatively stable while a lot of the world has floundered around and lost their members to the attrition of the heat death of Planet Bob. In an effort to continue our sustained poaching growth and as the current Assembly Chairperson, I have the honor of bestowing (honorary) memberships to foreigners that tower over the desolate wastes of our world:

First and foremost, I would like to honor happy5214 of The Legion. The Legion themselves have always been a strong and consistent ally to GATO, both in earlier parts of our history and again more recently. The Legion absolutely crushed it on the battlefield of The Snake Eyes War, and have maintained a strong economic and political presence in RFI. Recently, GATO lost the majority of our guides to a combination of poor management decisions in 2018 and the gradual degradation of our forums due to updates. We’ve been working hard to relearn a lot of aspects of the economics of the world (and even learn new ways). In our efforts, we’ve been assisted by the Lord of Hugs, but happy5214 takes the cake as the most frequent asset in our work on this project. His contributions have included even sharing his nation’s private data to be harvested by the abacus wielders of GATO. This contribution, along with his sharing of technology that he developed for The Legion, have gone well past the point of expectation that could be placed on that of an ally. As such, his personal commitment to the Global Alliance deserves recognition, and I am proud to present him the title of Honorary GATO Member, to join the ranks of those outside the alliance that we choose to highlight above all others.

The second award of honorary membership is pledged to be given to Lowsten, or James Spanier as he prefers to be called. James has been a huge help with manners of counsel that step outside of the purview of an ally. On a personal level, he and I have tag teamed, argued with, embarrassed and personally attacked each other on a host of problems that have arisen over the short years of Skyrim: Cybernations Edition. When asked for nominations from my own government with regard to who should earn honorary membership, Mr. Spanier stacked up several nominations. When pressed for justifications, no one could find the words. James is an intangible, an invisible hand on the scale that presses GATO toward being the best alliance that it can be – and he’s subtle about it. Even lacking specifics to pontificate on, it is easy enough for me to judge that Lowsten has rightfully earned GATO honorary membership. We thank him for his contributions to our alliance, a watchful eye that shepherds over my own alliance mates as if they were his. For that, may we not only call him an ally of GATO, but a friend as well.

The Global Alliance and Treaty Organization has seen its fair share of failures and triumphs over the years, but it has managed to persist and remain a constant presence in the international community. Many rulers across Planet Bob once found their home in GATO, and this post is also for you. Thank you for contributing to the legacy of the alliance I hold so dear to my heart. Whether you were on our side or not over the years, it is truly a historic moment for us all as the oldest alliance celebrates its fifteenth year.

Not a fan of the CB, but maybe that's because we're not under attack for HannaH's deals with Banned or something 😅

    Or because I like KoRT

Your citizen income is currently $600.51. I added 2 Guerilla camps to your nation and your citizen income reduced to $504.43. Are you sure that you didn't see $504 as $604?

Yeah, I'm sure. I had been discussing citizen income with another nation over discord at the time, which is why I noticed the discrepancy. Unfortunately, I didn't do a screen grab of my nation but rather had just been discussing it. I'm fairly certain I couldn't have miswrote 604 instead of 600 (just because of distance from keys and so on).

If it's not reproducible, that's kind of odd, but maybe it was a display bug or something then.

  11. Citizen income was at 604$ (roughly)

I purchased and then decommed Guerilla camps. My income is now 600$.

There must be a bug in the income formula, since there is no reason I would lose income from decom. The bug is either with the display or the actual formula. Probably reproducible but I don't want to permanently lose money to find out.

Again, what is with the complaints from RFI, who have decided to set the new standard on wonder decommissioning terms of surrender?  I don't get it.  I mean, I agree, I am disturbed by the development, but you guys are the ones who pioneered it, so it's a bit ironic coming from your sector.

Stop whining.  Own up to the new world your crew decided to pursue.

Wonder decom terms pre-exist my entry into Planet Bob even, surely you remember them in your storied past. RFI has not set a new standard, not only because the CLAWS-TIE peace was their own, but also because wonder decoms have existed for a long, long while.

  13. It is pretty evident to me that the SDI decom is a literal response to unhappiness about Lucius' decom. If that isn't an attempt at provocation, I'm not sure what is. I said as much to Kapleo in his embassy on the GATO server when he brought up this recent development.

If you don't think KNB is connected to CLAWS, it doesn't make sense to mirror a term against Lucius that you've called unjust and drag their CB into this conflict. Doing so makes this a CLAWS issue because you mingle CBs. The inclusion of Lucius' nation in particular shows that his apology isn't genuine and could be seen as a violation of his agreement for peace.

If you do think KNB is connected to CLAWS you are instigating a war with them right now.

Both of these don't make much sense for a group of alliances who want to not be at war with CLAWS. And in both scenarios the outcome is the same. As I advised Kapleo, it makes sense to punish TDE, it doesn't make sense to ask for wonder decoms and bring Lucius into the terms, because it effectively reignites the CB for the CLAWS-TIE war. I understand wanting to punish someone who got an ally rolled, tis' tradition. I don't understand why you'd try to force conflict with CLAWS and probably miss out on any justice you could gain.

    Peace Works, congrats on it.

The SDI+rounds of wars thing is confusing though, I don't get the rationale of it. If my curiosity has any importance for anyone that knows how and why it was decided, I'll thank them if they'll explain it.

Simple speculation: It maximizes damage to a nation that probably has about a billion in their warchest to the greatest effect. They will remain in anarchy no matter what and not get to loot other CLAWS nations, and they will lose money from having to rebuild infra and SDI. Doing the same amount of damage against a turtle would take a lot longer.

Alternative reasoning: they want nukes go boom without blocks.
