  1. /s/ I've been getting tired of my current flag...
  2. Even if they did come to MK's defense, who would they declare on? There's nobody left. 372 + 495 = 867 nations. 867/48 ≈ 18 attackers per ML nation. I suppose if you ignore NS differences, you could rotate a new nation in every week for six weeks. It would be a heck of a drawn-out battle, eh? I'm not sure my war chest is that big. There's no reason to be mortal enemies when all four alliances only declared in support of treaty partners. Even though we're all nuking each other, it's nice to know we can get along. o/ STA o/ MK o/ NSO o/ ML o/ upholding treaties
  3. When we're not geared for war we're a laid back, friendly sort. Once this is all over, we'll trade six- 30-packs of beer and have a nice get-together.
  4. I'll send the attack teddy-bears instead of the 'roided-up zombie/lizard/robot hybrids in the spirit of our common Legion ancestry.
  5. In your defense, all of our major treaty partners had similar high-level treaties with NPO before the bombs dropped and are still in blocs with NPO. With a conflict like this, confusion is totally understandable.
  6. Molon Labe and the Duckroll bloc added.
  7. Sad? Never.....I think of it as 'well-traveled'. If it makes you feel better, I know all but one of them....
  8. Reeaaally close, big game hunting. The demotivator compares I think .45 ACP to .416 Rigby. Rakari , as always. Stop on by some time - http://www.molonlabealliance.com
  9. (OOC: I swear, all these people declare on us just so the servers are so clogged nobody can log in. 45 minutes now and nothing...) Good luck to both of us, this should make things interesting. Way more interesting than logging in every day and paying bills, with a tax collection every two weeks to change things up... This is hilarious. What I find interesting is that none of the trolls are from ML. Interesting, eh? What about frozen custard. (also, a 'holy crap' moment that I'm trading barbs with a living legend ) The same can be said for all of our opponents, there are a lot of classy people in MK, STA, and NSO. Also, obligatory themed gun pr0n:
  10. I figured while I was waiting to get in ( )): login) I might as well make a visit to this thread. It's nice to hang out with other ex-Legionnaires, I just didn't think we'd be hanging out at gunpoint. Good luck STA, may the best alliance be less devastated! Also, obligatory gun pr0n: And the coolest of all (at least in this topic): I'll give a cookie to the first person to recognize the theme of the first five pics.
  11. Glad to be here. Maybe I should get around to bringing some of that gun porn over to the Legion forums one of these days...
  12. Ask and ye shall receive. (Some of these were appropriated from the Gun Porn thread on the ML forums, thanks to whoever posted the ones I borrowed, they're purty.)
  13. I don't know about my MK counterparts, but I had fun in our last tilt. Good luck to both of us! Holy crap it's a Yohan! We were itching to get into the fight, we're glad to be doing something other than counting the tank shells.... Clearly you've never heard of us or our prior exploits. Do some digging, ask around...you'll realize that we don't back down. I can see it already - Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, and Lee Marvin square off in a battle to see how quickly the West can be won turned into a radioactive slag pile. Maybe if all the ML and MK folks changed their CN Forum avatars to Old West/Nuke-themed avatars...
  14. Seeing you guys has not only raised the awesome level of this thread by quite a lot, but also warms my heart. Good to see you guys around once again. Can we get a Midas in here?
  15. Good luck to both FEAR and my [sadly former] ORRPLE brothers.
  16. Just a quick observation w/o reading any other posts (and likely won't be reading any more since I spend little time on the main forums) - canceling a treaty (higher than a NAP, at least) to attack your former treaty partner doesn't look good. I have all the respect in the world for the skill and determination of your alliance, but this doesn't look good. Makes ToA's look like NAPs and ToF's....useless. Edit: Okay, so I read the post above me....hai other Hitman fan!
  17. Hooray! Even though you left long ago, I still love you. Er....in a totally platonic way, that is. More wisdom. Sometimes it's easy to forget just how long it's been since I could proudly fly the purple in my banner... *sniff* Herro! Also hello to Ayrrie and everyone from back in the day. Thanks. You know, it's starting to feel like Old Home Week in this topic. All we need is for Ref to drop in and say hi and my day will be made.
  18. In a way, though, the Legion Rakari remembers is dead and gone. By the time I joined right after GWIII, the original group (Fonzo, GB, Zunea, Yenisey, Miem, NP, etc.) was almost all gone. By Purplegate, Swampy, Thom, Ref, Woody, and other pillars of the post-GWIII Legion were gone. Now there are new pillars of the community. I may not like the continued NPO/Legion lovefest, but it's who you guys are now. It may disturb me to the core that you aren't joined to ODN at the hip, shoulders, and sword-swinging arm, but it's who you guys are now. It may sadden me that the democratic ideals that survived the Great Wars and Purplegate are being swept away, but it's who you guys are now. Compared to the Legion I remember it is neither better nor worse, just different - and I still cherish the good times already had and yet to be had with Legionnaires new and old. Holy crap it's a Simon. Wise words as always. Maybe it's something about the CN Forums that attracts the anti-Legion trolls. It gets old as $%#@, doesn't it? It doesn't matter if you did good, bad, or discovered a cure for cancer, someone would crawl out from under the bridge to complain about it.
  19. Congrats on the new charter. A little less democracy than I am used to seeing, but at least I now understand all those bloody Vote For [name] For Imperator banners. The only thing that troubles me is that your treaty with NPO took precedence over ORRPLE....for an ex-Legionnaire that's extremely disturbing. I hope you guys made the right choice, and good luck.
  20. o/ SCORN o/ ML o/ guns o/ tech Este perpetua.
  21. As of this post I have found our fifth partner. Thanks!
  22. Uranium: Kulron Wine: Winterguard Cattle: Iron: New Milwaukee Aluminum: Kulron Lumber: Winterguard Marble: Rage117 Sugar: Spices: New Milwaukee Wheat: Valitur Water: Rage117 Pigs: Valitur Bonuses are beer, construction, fast food; inclusion of uranium allows you to buy or maintain nuclear stockpiles. PM here, in-game, or on ML forums if you are interested in a long-term trade circle.
  23. Both Episode I and Episode II are great reads, Swampy. They bring back good memories of your Walls of Text that would appear so often on our forums. As someone who came into the game (and signed up with the Legion) just a few days after the end of GWIII, this really helps me understand what was going on back then, when I was but a noob. Sure as hell explains why so many Legion Hall of Famers aren't there anymore, though not why most went to OBR.
