1. Caspian Foreign Minister, Dr. Vladimir Yakolev, had been informed of the speech by Herr Honecker over the previous day, and had set out from the Caspian Clique before the events in Europe had occurred. Although he expressed lament at them, he also wanted to see the organization Remhar and Owens had been observing the past few days. Although he trusted his staffers, he was also a man who liked to be on the ground as well, hence, why he had made his way to do a little observation of his own. Yakolev entered the building smoothly through security, flanked by Owens and Remhar, and took up their seats again, to continue observing the proceedings of the Federation as a trio.
 2. "Task Force Caspia, which is due to receive reinforcements within the next twenty-four hours, will assist attacking the stronghold. We have significant experience in assaulting such positions from our own counterinsurgency campaigns, and feel that experience could be beneficial to the units of the Red Australian Army," noted Konev, looking at the two commanders. "Once our additional forces arrive, Task Force Caspia will have a reinforced brigades strength, and plenty of ground-based firepower."
 3.
OOC: This wouldn't be my terminology for geurillas, this would be full scale civil war with division size formations
OOC: My thoughts exactly. IC: "Sir, the 2nd ALI Battalion got pretty chewed up last night, we're looking at almost twenty-five percent casualties total for the entire task force. We got an IFV out of action, and a Viper that needs some TLC before we can put it back out in the field," reported Konev, over the phone to General Terry Lowell, back at the Caspian Armed Forces Command in Ashgabat. "We're looking at large formations of rebel forces that we're going to have to engage." Lowell sighed, then responded, "What can I send you, Andrei?" "I'm going to need at least two more battalions of mechanized infantry, the full balance of the Kandahar Light Infantry, along with a full company of Vipers, all the support troops, plus artillery, and if you can spare it, two squadrons of aircraft, Multirole Strike and Tactical Fighter-Bombers," responded Konev, knowing Lowell wasn't going to like his request. "That's a tall order, Andrei, but I'll clear it with Dawkins, he probably won't like it, but I don't think he'll refuse you either." "Thank you sir." "Just get the job done, and you boys can come home, I'll get back to you in an hour." Secure Transmission to the UFE from Caspian Foreign Office (OOC: I'm assuming that since you're deploying ground forces, as well as flying aircraft for day strikes, your presence would be known to the other members of the Force by now, apologies if I'm mistaken)
The Caspian Clique is planning on deploying combat aircraft to Norman Military Base, along with support aircraft, including mid-air RP-450 "Guzzler" refueling aircraft. 4. "This morning, the Foreign Office of Caspia confirmed the detonation of two nuclear weapons over continental Europe, the source of these nuclear weapons is yet to be confirmed as of this moment. The Caspian government is asking its citizenry to remain calm in the light of this turbulent event. Any relatives of Caspian citizens will be inquired through official channels, we ask that citizens with families in these effected areas please speak directly with Foreign Office personnel only, and try not to contact them through other lines of communication. We condemn these dastardly attacks on the European nations of the Athens and the Hanseatic Finland, and hope the nation(s) or group(s) that perpetrated these attacks, are brought to justice, for the good of humanity. Both the Athenian Federation and Hanseatic Republic are offered the support of the Caspian International Medical Assistance Organization (CIMA), which has a nuclear disaster response team on hand to be airlifted to both countries and assist in the care of affected individuals. That being said, the Caspian Clique closes its airspace to any commercial flights for the next seventy-two hours, at which time the Clique will re-evaluate that decision, and will intercept any flights that break this closure. Flights will be escorted out of Caspian airspace that are currently in the air, for the protection of this state. This government, however, will allow, on a case-by-case basis, other nations who make specific requests through the Foreign Office, for good reason, to transit our airspace on vectors that our government dictates." President Dawkins stepped away from the podium, with a heavy sigh, and bowed his head in a silent prayer.

The government will reveal the existence of the Cosmodrome when it is fully operational. 6.
Members of "Task Force Caspia" in combat in Communist Australia. Caspian Armed Forces puts more troops on Standby Status, as Combat Rages in Communist Australia Reginald Burke, Field Reporter Caspian Journal Ashgabat, CC - With "Task Force Caspia" engaged in heavy combat near Norman, in Communist Australia, Defense Minister General Terry Lowell, issued further standby orders for Caspian military units. As the bulk of the Task Force arrived in Norman, the military base came under sustained attack from rebel forces. The military has no word on casualties as of yet, but it is said that the task force, along with forces from Communist Australia and the Australian Free State, were able to halt the attack. "Task Force Caspia, and other members of the International Peacekeeping Force came under a heavy assault from rebel forces against the Norman military base. The attack was repulsed, and losses appear to be heavy amongst rebel forces, could be fairly substantial amongst friendly forces," reported Lowell, speaking at a press conference. Lowell said that the insurgency was substantial, and could require the further deployment of Caspian military forces to assist in its defeat. For that reason, Lowell had put the entirety of the Turkmen Hussars Regiment on alert and to ready for deployment to Communist Australia. The Regiment already has two platoons of its number engaged in the country, and Lowell said that field commanders commended the unit for its continued stellar performance. The Turkmen Hussars were particularly effective in the field against the insurgency around Baghlan, where the Regiment earned its nickname "Azrael", another name for the "Angel of Death" in Islamic theology, which has connections also to Sikhism and Hebrew lore, from insurgent forces facing it. A soldier from the Turkmen Hussars Regiment, or "Azrael" Regiment, displaying the units' signature balaclava. While the military does not recognize the nickname officially, many of the soldiers in the regiment do, and a number have begun to wear skull balaclavas into battle. They take their name seriously, and have established the tradition on their own. The unit's combat record reflects its nickname, as it was the most heavily engaged unit in the Baghlan counterinsurgency campaign, and recorded more then half of the insurgent casualties during the subsequent battles. Lowell noted that the standby status did not implicitly mean that any forces would be deployed, however, he said the likelihood of their movement was "rather likely". The deployment to Communist Australia marks the first international deployment of Caspian forces abroad, and Lowell hopes that the efforts of the stabilization force will, in the long run, establish firm contacts with other countries for the Caspian nation. "I believe that this deployment, and others that may occur in the future, will show the nations of the world that the Caspian Clique is a dependable and trustworthy friend whose assistance other nations can count on in their times of need." 7. Colonel Omar Kazeem was in his element, as an executive officer of a task force in the Caspian Military, their task was to be out in the field with the men when they were deployed. While the task force commander would usually direct the overall battle plan from their headquarters, the executive officers would command them in the actual field, providing a senior military officer on-site. The rebel "Free Australians" were beginning to overwhelm the trench line, when the Caspian task force moved forward from its positions near the airstrip. Leading the charge were the three "Viper" main battle tanks, flanked by seven "Jackrabbit" Infantry Fighting Vehicles on both sides, all of the weapons on the vehicles were blazing. Tank commanders on the Vipers were manning the CMGH-8 Heavy Machine guns that the vehicles had as secondary weapons on the top of the turret. Kazeem rode behind the turret on a Jackrabbit, he and his senior NCO directing the fire as the 20mm Auto Cannon on the Jackrabbit blazed away at the rebels. One Viper sited in on a rebel technical (a pickup mounting a heavy machinegun), and opened up with its' main gun, the shell hit the front of the charging vehicle in the engine block, the force sending the technical somersaulting backwards bumper over bumper four times. A "Swatter" missile, fired from one of the Jackrabbits' anti-tank missile batteries, hit another technical, probably carrying explosives for demolitions, and the vehicle was blown a good forty feet into the air. Beside the infantry fighting vehicles and tanks, the ever-faithful infantry of the 2nd Afghan Light Infantry Battalion charged forward into the maelstrom, letting loose bursts of fire from their own weapons. As soon as they reached the trench line, they dived into the trenches, as the vehicles stopped behind them, the light infantrymen poured on deadly accurate fire from their modular weapon systems, the ranks of rebels beginning to get thinner. Colonel Kazeem shouted over the din into his mic, "General, the trench line is secure, we can hold them." As General Konev watched the battle unfolding from a closed-circuit feed aboard one of the Jackrabbit IFVs, from the command bunker with Generals Kerasly and Dawson, he responded, "Good man, keep pumping lead. Omar, if there are any wounded from the Communist Australian or Australian Free State militaries up there, I want your corpsmen to evacuate them if they can." He turned to Dawson, "Sir, one of our Bushmaster heavy tactical transport aircraft is already configured for medevac, they can evacuate the most seriously wounded to a more secure location for treatment." He then spoke into the mic to Kazeem, "I want you to hold the company from the Kandahar Light Infantry in reserve for now, use them to plug any holes in the line if that assault gets any worse."
 8. "I'm still here, moving to the exit now," called out Wells, who had drawn his pistol, after hearing someone mention that the explosions were from cruise missiles. "What in name of Turkmen did I get myself into?" he muttered, as he made for the exit, along with a number of other delegates. He had activated the tactical LED flashlight on the underside of his pistol, following Ranil's example.
 9. Konev looked back towards the soldiers that were disembarking from their aircraft, and adjusted his tactical microphone, talking into the headset. "Colonel Kazeem, I want those transports unloaded, NOW!" Konev barked into mic, to his executive officer, who was overseeing the unloading of the transports. "Captain Turner," he said, as a few tracers went by, "I want Bravo Company up supporting the outer defenses. Get those damn planes out of here ASAP, I promised Dawkins I wouldn't scratch some of his babies. Deploy your forces as you see fit, I want those heavies off the transports and up on the line yesterday." Konev's eyes blinked as an errant rebel mortar shell landed nearby, the explosion of which did not faze him at all, he turned back to his fellow commanders, and followed them towards the command bunker. Behind him, the Caspian forces began deploying out of their aircraft, the infantry all had their weapons cleared for action before they landed. The tanks and IFVs were rolling straight off the planes, their crews already inside before they landed, they were all fully loaded with ammunition, and gassed up, and ready for war. They wouldn't have to wait long. The husky bark of CR-8G Modular Assault Weapons filled the air as the Caspian forces moved forward to assist the thin line of troopers holding the perimeter of the base.
 10.
The Ertugrul Gazi Mosque, in Ashgabat. Cultural Division Announced, as Ertugrul Gazi Mosque to be Restored! Imar Duzghul, Central Asian News Agency Ashgabat, CC - The Caspian government announced in a news conference outside the Ertugrul Gazi Mosque today, that it would begin restoring this historic Islamic temple to its former glory. Decades of neglect, with the country being in the grip of lawlessness, has left the once gleaming gem a shadow of itself. President Sham Dawkins himself, speaking at the open-air news conference, was pleased to announce to restoration effort. "This monument of architecture and religion is an important cultural icon to the Caspian nation, and it is in the best interests of this nation to preserve such relics. This is part of this nation's past, and it will be treated as such, as an iconic symbol of our proud past," said Dawkins, as he made sweeping gestures to the humongous mosque. While there has been no word from members of the Islamic faith worldwide, Dawkins and his government gave assurances that the holy building's sanctity would be respected during restoration. The process of this restoration is going to cost the Caspian nation well over a hundred million dollars, this cost being deferred somewhat by charity donations that will assist the government. In his first meetings with the government the Imam of Ashgabat thanked Sham Dawkins for the pledge made by the government, and was seen standing with the President during the press conference. The government released a comprehensive list of who would be involved in the restoration efforts, to make sure it was undertaken with the greatest of care.

The Religious Studies, Architectural Engineering, Art History, and Historical Faculties of Caspia University
Caspian Construction (CASCON) Engineering Experts
Office of the Imam of Ashgabat
Caspian Central Bank
NEM
Economic Ministry - Caspian Clique Cultural Division (CCCD)
Anwar Fourak, Economic Minister, announced at the press conference that his Ministry, upon formation of this Cultural Division, would be taking steps to employ experts in both the fields of actual restoration and restoration planning, to assist in this endeavor. Fourak noted that the cultural history of the Caspian Clique had to be preserved for future generations to reflect on their past as a nation. "We in the Economic Ministry believe that the Ertugral Gazi Mosque, and sites like it, have to be preserved, not only for the sake of their religious value, but for the value of this nation as a whole. What nation would allow its past to crumble in the sands of time, and left it forgotten?" CANA, 2011
11. Remhar and Owens looked at each other, both of them shocked at the sudden explosive statement that had exploded from the Viceroy. While they were both only junior staffers for the Foreign Office, they did understand the weight and gravity of the statements made on a world stage such as this. Remhar wrote on a note, that could have been visible to some of the delegates behind them, 'We may want to re-evaluate the Clique's involvement in this organization for the time being.' He then slid the note over to Owens, who looked at it, then up at his cohort, and nodded. 'We should get in contact with Yakolev and Fourak' wrote Owens, referring to the Caspian Foreign Minister and Economic Minister, respectively, and passed the note back. Remhar nodded after reading it, and they both packed their binders up with their notes, and slipped quietly from their seats, located conveniently close to the doors of the venue.
 12. The Caspian Clique expresses some alarm at these rumors of political opposition and diplomatic leaders being executed, and do hope that they are not true. We wish the Empire of Antarctica the best in trying to quell these protests and working peacefully towards an agreement or reforms that could be mutually beneficial to all political sides in the Empire.
 13. The observing members of the Caspian Foreign Office looked on as the proceedings continued, and looked rather dismayed by the statement made by the ICWE, but held their tongues. As with the tradition of the Caspian Clique's stalwart position on religious tolerance, their discomfort with the topic at hand was visually obvious to the other members of the Federation, seated closest to them.
 14.
An evening view of Turkmenbasy, on the Caspian Sea. Tourism Council Announced, as Government reports Industries up to Production Capacity. Nataliya Konev, Staff Writer Caspian Journal Ashgabat, CC - Economic Minister Anwar Fourak, in a large press conference today, announced that the Caspian government is encouraging foreign tourism, particularly along the Caspian Sea Coast. The victory over the insurgency has wiped out the threat to foreign tourists, and this part of the country had been devoid of anti-government insurgents from the beginning of Dawkin's reign as President. Fourak spoke notably of Turkmenbasy, the famous Caspian resort, saying that the city's airport was now open to all commercial flights, and would be running at full capacity. "I am encouraging tourists from around the world to join us in Turkmenbasy, for glittering sandy beaches, and a traditional Central Asian atmosphere of hospitality and adventure," said Fourak. "All restaurants and hotels are open for business, and we are offering significant package deals through a number of international tour companies. Our Economic Ministry insist that families come and escape the cold of winter in our dry, warm climate, where water temperatures remain comfortable." "We are also announcing the creation of a government tourist bureau, to expand our influence in the tourism industry, and give consultation to business that deal in this high-value lucrative trade." Following this appeal to worldwide tourists, Fourak also happily reported that factories and industries, Clique-wide, reported that production was at peak capacity. He indicated that other corporations are asking for licenses, and applying for them through the Economic Ministry. "We have seen numerous licensing bids arrive at the doorstep of my ministry. There have been a number of licensing for telecommunications, as well as requests for drilling and mining licenses. We are hoping to soon have these corporations up and running, and providing jobs for our people." Amid the positive economic news coming from the Caspian Government, heavy aircraft producer CAA has been the target of lucrative government and corporate deals with both the Caspian military, and Dawkins International Logistics. Fourak noted that both civilian and military products from Caspian corporations will soon be available for sale on the open world market, with some restrictions on high-tech, top-of-the-line, military equipment. He did not reveal any set date, but rumors and leaks from the Economic Ministry do point to open sale of military products within the month. Recent combat experience in the Kandahar and Baghlan campaigns suggest that the military will be providing feedback on products, that could produce some impressive modifications and changes in Caspian military products. Kandahar Aviation and Rocketry has announced that all production lines are filled at the moment, and the government could see a fulfillment of its orders within the next three weeks. Dr. Katya Petrovich, the President of the aircraft manufacturer and design bureau, said she was "impressed" in her staff's "can-do" attitude. "We are working at peak capacity at the moment, and the production lines are filled, and the employees doing their jobs diligently, what more can I ask of them?" CJ, 2011
15. "It definitely tastes like vintage," said Wells, as he eyed the glass, before taking another sip. "Very warming properties," he added, after smacking his lips a little. "I want to thank you for extending an invitation to this event, Miss Martinez. The Caspian Clique extends its gratitude to you for this event, we are looking to open our relations with other parts of the world, and this event certainly helps in that endeavor."
 16. Bravo Company, 2nd Afghan Light Infantry Battalion, along with its attached vehicles sat idle next to airstrip at the Norman Military Base. They had arrived twelve hours ahead of the main force, that was now due to arrive at any time. Many of them had spent the last twelve hours or so cleaning weapons, or preparing their vehicles to assist in the push to eliminate the threat of this so-called "Free Australian" movement. Many of the men were veterans of the Week-long Kandahar campaign, and had no love for violent insurgents or rebels. They had taken over a section of the trenchline, and set a watch on the horizon, many catching some rest, something that they had gotten little of during the campaign. A loud drone in the sky, was what roused the soldiers from their lethargic state, many of them standing up or looking up from their tasks at hand. Twenty-four CT-23 "Skymaster" Strategic Airlift Aircraft, escorted by a further six CT-55 "Bushmaster" Heavy Tactical Transport Aircraft, began landing on the long airstrip. As the aircraft rolled by the already arrived Caspian forces gave a cheer, waving, one of them had a flag that he was waving. The aircraft were all marked with the national flag of the Caspian Clique, and painted in a dull grey, dust was kicking up as they passed by the hundred and fifty Caspian troops already there. Many of the Caspian troops, who had goggles put them on quickly, or covered their eyes with their hands and looked away. The aircraft quickly taxied into a line on the tarmac, off of the runway, their rear ramps beginning to lower. Off the lead CT-23 strolled a middle-aged commander, wearing a combat helmet with his goggles down over his eyes, and chewing on a cigar, quickly lighting it as soon as he stepped off the aircraft, as smoking was disallowed on the flights. He tipped his helmet to the already-arrived Bravo Company, who gave a makeshift salute and then a hearty cheer as their fellow comrades had finally arrived. He quickly walked over to the two Australian Commanders, and called out in thickly-accented English, "General Dawson, sir! I'm Brigadier General Andrei Konev, commander of Task Force Caspia. The Caspian Clique sends its regards, as well as some of its best," said Konev with a smile. "The Clique has assigned the entirety of the 2nd Afghan Light Infantry Battalion, a company from the Kandahar Light Infantry Regiment, as well as two platoons of the Turkmenistan Hussars Regiment, with fourteen Infantry Fighting Vehicles. We also got a platoon of three Viper Main Battle Tanks from the Kabul Dragoons available, plus a platoon of Caspian Army Engineers to the Peacekeeping Force." As he listed off the units available, he offered his hand to the two commanders.
 17. Wells looked around the ballroom, as he took a first sip of his second glass of wine. Bearing a plate of assorted food, he stood looking around, feeling rather awkward, being more of an internal analyst, rather then a full-fledged diplomat. He spotted the hostess, and quickly made a beeline for her. "Good evening Miss Martinez, I am Inigo Wells, of the Caspian Clique. I must say, I am enjoying the wine, where were you able to procure such fine nectar?" The wine had begun to make him feel giddy, if not maybe a little bold, and was loosening up the his stiff personality.

The ending of the insurgency against Sham Dawkins' loyalist forces, confirms the legitimacy of his government of the Caspian Clique. Industries are starting to get moving with production again, as troops were seen celebrating with civilians across the country. Although fought in more rugged terrain then the Kandahar campaign, the experience garnered in the latter campaign has given the Caspian Army a great proficiency in counterinsurgency operations. The employment of larger amounts of Viper Main Battle Tanks, as well as a trio of new "Banshee" airborne gunships, gave Caspian forces a huge edge over its opponents. Casualties for the Caspian Armed Forces were much lighter then the Kandahar campaign, and military officials give a prospective estimate of one hundred soldiers killed, wounded, and missing. Caspian soldiers detaining a surrendering insurgent. Dawkins' government confirmed rumors today that there will be an amnesty program initiated to help integrate former insurgent fighters back into the country. There are well over a thousand insurgents in prison camps throughout the country at the moment, and the program is said to be a top priority in the Dawkins government. The government has said that it will release details on the amnesty program in the coming week. Along with the confirmation of an amnesty program, Dawkins announced his new government, which makes the following changes; Defense Minister - General Terry Lowell - The "Lion of Kandahar" retains his seat as defense minister for the time being. Foreign Minister - Dr. Vladimir Yakolev; PhD. International Relations, Caspia University Economic Minister - Anwar Fourak; President, Caspian Petroleum and Chemicals Health Services Adjutant - Dr. Maria Shaporova; Former Interim Director, Caspian National Military Hospital Interior Services Division Manager - Colonel Markus Boldin; Former Interim Inspector General, Caspian Armed Forces Special Note - Elections for Gubernatorial Candidates will be run in the next fortnight, to establish who will take governorships of the two states of the Caspian Clique. While the appointment of the government is the first step in a long road to establishing the Caspian Clique fully on the world stage, the government of Sham Dawkins is off to a quick start. There are potential rumors that the Caspian nation might join the Trade Federation now that it has legitimized its rule over this land. Delegates from the Caspian Foreign Office were rumored to be observing the proceedings of recent Trade Federation summits, but there is no word on whether or no the Clique will join. With the stability of the nation however, the Caspian nation looks ahead to a bright economic future in Central Asia. CANA, 2011
21. While the Caspian Clique does recognize the right to a sovereign nations' government to continue to oversee its own internal affairs, it expresses dismay for the continuing resistance by the Federal Republic of Alaska in extending the plight of its own citizens. It expresses the hope that this war is quickly concluded, with as little bloodshed as possible to both sides, as well as citizens of Alaska.
 22. The Caspian Clique would be amenable to the creation of an international peacekeeping force, and command structure, and is ready to deploy further military assets to the region if needed.

 24. The honorable government of the Caspian Clique hopes there is a quick resolution of this revolution, preferably through channels of mediation, rather then military force.
