Grand Master Lombardi bowed his head humbly before the Holy Pope, turned to Maria Magdalena & returned a warm smile. He was nearly overwhelmed to be in the presence of His Holy Father & a light tremble followed his beginning words as we worked to suppress his emotions. Ours in an order that is strictly in & of Christendom. We plan not, to meddle in the affairs of they who do not seek our services, nor to instigate conflict on religious, nor any basis. We respect Athens & as well have no intent to march by arms into these Holy grounds. Our mission is defense & the Holy Vatican is clearly well defended. So then, where the defense of the faith is necessary & needed, that is where we will be. The situations that call forth our services will dictate the level of sacrifice we commit, but we realize & encounter this by a code that states; 'there is never too much to be given when done so in service to Our Lord.'Our role is the sacrifice; the reward is for all Christendom after to reap. Men & women among the Board of Directors of I.G. BekampfenIndustrie converged on a private meeting room to discuss the current state & future of the corporation. The lively & at times heated discussion was guided by one, pupil of Herr Honecker. Coffee mugs where hardly touched; their contents falling to a cool room temperature. The light scent of tobacco drifted in the air, but sensations such as these where given little acknowledgment under the heavy discussion & several arguments that made up the meetings proceedings. [i]"The Corporation is at a cross roads."[/i] asserted a man who had scribbled main points of discussion on the napkin before him. [i]"Grants to the Trade Federation threaten to set us on a path of imminent bankruptcy. This is not up for discussion nor debate. This is cold, hard fact ladies & gentlemen."[/i] Everyone quieted to the man's statements & allowed him to continue on. Taking a sip of his coffee, the man went on with a sour look on his face, [i]"This coffee is cold. Anyway, I think it is agreeable that with Herr Honecker's removal from the seat of Viceroy of this Federation is in the best interests of I.G. Bekampfen. While we have slipped from our original momentum, we remain amongst the most powerful entities of our kind & the forefront of the international combat arms sale industry."[/i] The board offered an applause, but the man raised his hands in a manner asking the clapping to cease. So, with that said, I believe it to be in the very best interests of this corporation to locate Herr Honecker at all costs & return him to his position as our Chair."[/i] Nearly, at once, board members began contacting various personnel via phone & internet. [i]Honecker must be found at all costs....[/i] In a small, local bar within the UKIM, several well dressed men appeared. [i]"Hello there, what can I get you?"[/i] asked the bartender. One of the men replied, [i]"I don't believe what we're after is up for sale."[/i] The bartender shrugged. The group took their seats around a lonely drinker who, lost in his own thoughts, hardly noticed they where even there. [i]"Its good to see you again, Herr Honecker. Had I not looked twice, I might very well have mistaken you for a broken man."[/i] the man sat & awaited Honecker's reply, but he got none. He continued, [i]"Look we were sent for you by the Board. You do remember, I.G. BekampfenIndustrie? The corporation is desperate. Without you, leadership is indecisive at best."[/i] The man sighed, [i]"Your Trade Federation was & is a success. It is a token of your talent on a global scale. We need that talent back in our own camp. Turning to look at them all, he offered a nod & proceeded to finish his drink. Slapping a generous tip onto the bar, he made his way outside. The men appeared baffled & began following after him at a hustled pace. One of the men yelled after him, [i]"Wait! Herr Honecker wait! Where are you going?"[/i] "Who are you?" where the first words uttered by Erich the entire day. The man replied, [i]"We work for I.G. BekampfenIndustrie. YOUR corporation. Remember?"[/i] Erich replied without ceasing his walk, [i]"Ah, oh yes I do remember you. I met you in the bar didn't I? Listen, can you direct me to my car? I need to meet with the Board."[/i] Erich scanned the parked cars furiously, causing the men to chuckle lightly. [i]"Shh, shhh quiet down... Herr Honecker you are not in a position to operate a motor vehicle of any sort right now. We will have your car picked up & brought to you. For now, why don't you come with us? There is a Board of Directors that would be very happy to see you."[/i] Erich thought for a moment, then nodded his head. The group entered the luxury vehicle & set off hastily.... Erich was guided into a large board room where members stood o greet him, [i]"Heil!! Welcome Herr Honecker!! It has been far too long!"[/i] Subtly guarding his ears to all the yelling Erich managed a smile & a nod. Making only one request before taking his seat at the head of the table, [i]"Some water please?"[/i] One Board member passed a fresh glass of water to Mr. Honecker who chugged it dry within moments. The Board members, slightly astonished, [i]"Some more, sir?"[/i] [i]"No, no I'm..I'm, yes please some more, if you would be so kind."[/i] Erich cleared his throat & began to speak, [i]"It was made clear to me that I.G. BekampfenIndustrie is in a bit of a dilemma, yes? I have not forgotten the interests of the corporation during my time as Viceroy of the Trade Federation. I have continued to personally manage many of our investments, most of which are experiencing substantial growth as we speak. Now, money doesn't grow on trees but money can grow. For now, it doesn't matter how much money the corporation has. We have enough. What matters is how we manage it. I have always put a focus on effective money management. But this is not the issue is it?"[/i] Erich stood from his seat & began to circle the table where the Board was seated. He made his way up the small staircase to the walkway that lined the room just above the Board meeting floor. From atop, he addressed the Board. [i]"The issue lies in our direction. To ruin or riches. Well, with this issue I offer one solution that, by I, will never be hindered. We will cease our idle position & reassume activity, intensely, on an international scale. With new momentum we will evade ruin & encounter riches. This I promise as your Chair."[/i] Finally, the confirmation that Board of Directors had anxiously awaited. Herr Honecker had returned.
