  1. are people still debating this? i thought the tsi terms made it rather clear what tp was facing... probably were told basically to pay terms they couldnt pay or someone else would hit them hard, and they decided the only way to avoid starting over from square one was to disband. at any rate, it is a poor showing from pc and their protectorates. though they might have gotten away if either one of these threads was posted by itself, when you put them together it paints a stunningly clear picture of the kind of alliances we are dealing with, the kind of folks who extort protectorates with no concern over whether or not they kill off innocent, fledgling alliances. i for one am holding out hope that those honorable elements of karma (maybe about 50% of the total karma ns) turn on these scumbags and teach them a lesson, and in such prove to the world that they truly stand against this kind of behavior and arent simply using it as an excuse to make a run for the top spot.
  2. but were these things done in the name of valhalla or on a personal basis? the fact is the crimes sponge committed under the banner of polar far outweigh the crimes committed by nowedge under the banner of valhalla... otherwise we would have seen more commotion about valhalla being evil. the biggest crime valhalla (under nowedge) is known for is putting baps on 'almost pzi' (never actually occurred because nowedge was couped), whilst polar (under sponge) forced (or helped force) a number of alliances to disband.
  3. it still applies to other allies who simply honored their treaties, or as rabid karma supporters like to say, 'npo lapdogs'
  4. i thought karma was about changing the precedents set by the evil hegemony(besides the fact that the sum of sponges crimes far outweighed those of nowedge, nor was sponge the only government member responsible for perpetuating those crimes)
  5. because you guys deserve to be more than a tech farm. tsi is one of the most honorable alliances i've ever seen, and that response was just a low blow.thankfully, it looks like many honorable people from across bob are coming together to offer their hand in assisting with your payment, so my fears perhaps are unfounded. @smacky: fark? who gave fark harsh terms? oh yeah old school goons did... but wait, theyre dead... never mind the facts lets just pin it on someone else, these guys wont know the difference, they werent around for that also i dont know if baps or legion will appreciate you using their name like that
  6. you all collectively peed in my cornflakes with this rampant hypocrisy. and i am very protective of my cornflakes.the facts are, karma isnt all that it chalks itself up to be. the 'big' alliances in this are mostly going to get harsh terms and its going to set a dangerous precedent for the future. conversely, if they dont get harsh terms, theyll pop right back up and take back their spot in no time. in other words it's lose-lose as far as 'changing the world' is considered
  7. ahem not all of them. a few on the karma side are there for less than honorable reasons i do however share your sentiments in wishing for a white peace, though i know it will not happen. (i am more than prepared to eat my words on that, though i doubt karma cares about me)
  8. this is more like it, im glad to see not all fronts are starting to pull out the harsh terms
  9. basically, you just said tsi has gained valuable skills necessary in being a gremlins tech farm for a long period of their existence.i find you disgusting. tsi are far above and beyond being a worthless tech farm. if it werent for these terms, they'd be back on their feet in no time. tsi, a tech selling alliance? disgusting. imo shurukian gives you far more respect than you deserve.
  10. sorry for the off topic posting slayer, i wish you luck in life, you were an asset to this game, and you will be sorely missed. and good luck to your son as well, make sure he keeps them grades up
  11. somebody pointed this out earlier, that 150/3m tech deals are very difficult to organize and turn a profit amongst people not experienced in tech dealing. these nations are likely to incur a loss. larger nations giving away tech is an obvious loss.
  12. fok signed off on those terms, and they were hailed on the first page by gremlins and sparta, i assume other members of continuum were also seen doing the same in the later pages of that thread. no reps were required, a standard 'dont re-enter the conflict' was issued, which leaves the last thing... they were told to disband. is that such a bad thing for an alliance that was abused by wn/ws supporters to be a front for their recruitment activities? you cannot claim that their screening capabilities were flawless, it is incredibly easy for a person to lie and insert themselves wherever they may please. i believe it was a case of that popular meme, 'sad but necessary.' as for the two members? they werent forced to quit the game they could have very very easily rerolled and nobody would know the difference. if they chose to pick up their toys and leave, it is not slayers fault, and suggesting that it is is absurd. so, what we have, is one instance that happened nearly a year ago. and how many has slayer gotten off since then? certainly more than two, maybe only two that were well publicized but behind the scenes much more, i didn't even know he was batting for fan until i saw atrophis pay his respects. i think you're just angry and butthurt and unable to forgive when someone has obviously changed his ways... i know your stubborn type, and i know its not worth continuing this ridiculous argument.
  13. with all due respect (which to you i give a lot), i think you take pcs actions far too lightly. perhaps it is a credit to your character, but i personally cannot believe it was done with any intent beyond pushing you to pay their outrageous demands. i will say however, the level of respect coming from tsi in the face of this extortion... i am speechless. tsi is going to go very far in this game, that i know for sureas far as im concerned though it doesnt matter if you tell a tech raid victim nicely and in good faith that hes going to be nuked, its still extortion
  14. so tell me, if tsi was doing so much better in the war why did they accept terms where they had to pay anything at all? oh right, extortion. you threatened to drop rad on them, no different than an individual in a tech raid threatening to drop nukes if the hapless victim doesnt pay up.disgusting, but then again, its poison clan were talking about here you cant expect much different
  15. argument ad absurdum, he was using a logical fallacy which consists of nothing more than obvious lies in an attempt to prove something or other. all it really does is make him look like a fool though
  16. the fact that you were interested in forcing a bruised and beaten alliance to sacrifice anything at all is a stunning show of dishonor
  17. perhaps the fact that two pc protectorates are extorting an alliance who entered merely to honor their treaties... but hey, i dont think the phrase 'like father like son' was ever more appropriate, pc has always been a joke when it comes to having a sense of honor
  18. care to back it up with evidence instead of vague memories from long ago? perhaps some names would be cool?and at any rate, if the only pzi you can think of is back from the nov war, and considering the vast number of people slayer has gotten off pzi since then, even going to bat for fan... well, i just think its silly to be arguing in his departure thread that his alliance is the bane of all cn. seriously, the worst any of you have got is something that happened years ago? give me a break. if im not mistaken, one of the recurring excuses used by former hegemony now karma alliances is that 'people reform.' tpf has quite clearly reformed. yet you will not afford them the same luxuries you afforded others... why? is it because the only thing you see as 'reform' is if they don't stand on the other side of the fence? this is ridiculous.
  19. this is one of many quotes from the karma side where you lot keep touting the fact that youve only handed out white peace this far and the implication that the pattern will continue (you dont 'endorse' these terms for example) you cant have your cake and eat it too, so please choose a stance and quit flip-flopping k?
  20. i shall thus be saving this collection of quotes for later use when you and your alliance get rolled in the future. your tears will be among the most delicious the cyberverse has ever seen.
