  1. I think it's a bit foolish to declare victory, when the real combatants have yet to declare war. It makes you look silly. Just relax, and sit this one out, unless you have a death wish. Both sides are going to get obliterated in the end, and neither side will truly "win".
  2. No, you did not contradict that. However the negotiations were still taking place at the time of the DoW. If you dispute the fact that an official mediator was discussing the negotiations with OV, then there is still the fact that no word was given (clearly) to the other parties involved that the negotiations had been terminated. This can only be construed as a deliberate act intended to aide in the launching of a surprise attack, which again lends credit to the belief that the "connection failure" is a convenient excuse.
  3. I will most certainly do that, thank you.
  4. Ah, yes. That, we can certainly agree on. I find you to be an intelligent, and quick witted individual. It's a pity you're not a GATOan. We could put you good use!
  5. For starters, I would like to point out that I actually sympathize with the New Pacific Order. I personally think OV is directly responsible for all of this. They did do a fair bit of stalling. However you're not helping your case when you have other NPO members in this thread making the case that the New Pacific Order didn't deliberately break off negotiations. The current excuse would be that Moo lost his connection, and therefore the war started as a subsequent lack of communication because of said connection failure. What you're saying here is that this was a deliberate, and willful disregard for the traditions associated with a Peace Forum, and a blatant disregard for respect and cooperation that comes with negotiating in good faith. I don't care how you couch it, or with what little pacifican sayings you have stored up, you cannot remove the fact that you did not, from the onset with your preparations for war (by your own admission), negotiate in good faith. As for Pacifica prevailing? I personally have no stake in the conflict. I wish good luck to both sides and I hope the war will come to a swift conclusion, however you wish to take that. Then I must be in the minority to think that actual members are independent creatures capable of formulating their own opinions. I could have sworn I had my sentience around here somewhere. Perhaps I checked it at the door along with my ability to act independently of a mob mentality? Members of alliances are required to adhere to a certain amount of respect towards alliances. This includes refraining from baiting, trolling, flaming, etc; It doesn't mean, or rather I should hope it doesn't, refraining from speaking in a polite, candid way about what you feel o na specific subject. All I have done here is point out the lack of respect that the New Pacific Order showed with their DoW. I do not dispute their CB, though I do feel that they're misplacing their aggression. I dispute the manner in which is was conducting, while at the same time reaffirming my hopes that the war will end swiftly, with minimal losses to both sides.
  6. Now see, that's probably why people come here to post negative opinions of your alliance. You presume that everyone who is not involved, is therefore not entitled to his or her own opinion. Furthermore, you reinforce this belief with a vague threat about being involved either here or on the battlefield, is a bad decision. I'd like to think the reason many of us post here, is because we're not prepared for the pre-packaged CB's that fly around by not just the NPO, but by a lot of alliances. This is sorta just the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak. If you expected folks to just ignore a fairly lame CB, and then act like you had every right to declare during peace discussions, then you should check back at the door for your common sense. You may have mistaken that for your own opinion walking in.
  7. I am still waiting for my reply NEWBert.
  8. You can join GATO. We always accept retired dictators.
  9. By Grapthor's Hammer, You Shall Be AVENNNGGEED! See my above post about that.
  10. Just because your leader (if I am reading that poorly drawn picture correctly) has a failure of teh nets, doesn't remove him from his responsibility to negotiate in good faith. Instead of correctly reassuming control of the NPO FA faculty, he blindly declares war? I prefer to think that he at least had some control over his own alliance, to at least make an informed and deliberate DoW.
  11. What's my point? My point is that while you say that the New Pacific Order has never war hunted, why is it that not only do they declare late, they declare while conducting discussions under a flag of peace. It's inappropriate to assume as if everyone that digresses from this opinion doesn't possess all of the facts. We have what we see: a weak CB, followed by a war declaration that is both late and takes place in a peace forum. I for one, don't see who you're trying to convince with your arguments. Perhaps it is yourself? I don't need convincing, that's for sure.
  12. That's all fine then. We can, for the sake of discussion, accept this as true. However setting aside what OV did, one can also interpret the underhanded tactic of openly declaring war on OV, as despicable. Yes, you had a greivance with them. Yes, according to your camp, the CB was a legitimate cause for war. We dispute that, but even then, instead of doing the honorable thing, you did the blatantly arrogant thing. You misused a forum for open communication, cooperation and peace, for your own war aims. You used it as a stalling tactic yourself because walking into the ose negotiations, you knew or at least prepared for those discussions to break down. You were prepared for war from the start and would not accept anything less than such. You sir, are a hypocrite, a fool, and above all, a mindless ideologue.
  13. The filter between brain and mouth is oft confounded by silly things like propaganda and bias. I sincerely doubt that currently, either side is able to provide a completely unbiased representation of the facts. Logs can be forged and on that note, I think we should all calm down here.
  14. Hey, at least they didn't attack you during peace negotiation, 30 minutes late. It could have been worse you know.
  15. So, many of you are currently aware of the recent rounds of DoW's. Then you add in the quite amusing cancellation of Sparta's MDP with NPO (Which, I personally think was not a smart move, but quite funny in the end). You have alliances leaving Q, and things are naturally going to heat up as we get closer to update tonight. My thoughts on this are my own, and not my alliances. I'm not here to bash the New Pacific Order or join in on the bandwagon. I'm here to say, with reluctance, that I accept this war as inevitable. There was a thread made by a gentleman by the name of Archon. He had some truths about this war correct, that is, if you can count the words of an unverifiable, biased party, truth. Removing all bias aside, and taking away personal feelings of whom you support, you the reader, can come to the conclusion that this war was bound to happen. It is not, as Archon would say, clearly avoidable. The consistent moves by other powers will always result in a culmination of fire, death, and unbridled aggression. It comes with the territory so to speak. Whenever you have a set establishment, there will always be those that will seek to undermine it, and ultimately, to replace it with their own set system of hegemony. It's not necessarily a new concept. Merely one that has been repackaged and transmitted through various forms over the years. What is important however, is that the results of the aftermath's of such events, will be felt for a long, long time. I can't help but wonder, did I join at the appropriate time? What if I just joined CN, only to see my nation reduced to a smoldering pile of ashes? Will my alliance protect me? Better still, will my alliance still be around in the end? These questions stick in my mind like a bad buzzing in my brain, and something I need to ask myself. The only answer I have, is that I believe in peace, and that in the end, a change of the political pecking order may in the end, do some good for CyberNations. I've read the histories, I've paid attention to the banter and the flames this week. I notice considerable friction from two, even three sides. My only hope is that the side that is victorious will set about repairing damage, and not imposing it wantonly.
  16. Pretty much this. I'm fairly surprised that even the NPO had the balls to DoW during a peace summit. Ballsy Moo. Ballsy.
  17. Not you people again. I thought we'd been rid of you for good last time.
  18. My Mandalorian Super Commandos beat your Tinnies.
  19. I'm on a boat. With my flippy floppies.
