1. Yes... 2000 examples and the blueprints of the tank destroyer should be ordered. Also, the G-11 is a very interesting weapon. Is there any reason that this is superior to traditional 5.56mm cartridge weapons?
2. We believe the deal is easy then. Exchanging Ostrobothnia for Finnmark will only increase ethnic stability. A mutual defense treaty will also secure the region against foreign aggression. Also, as a nation we are seeking some arms deals, does the Germanic Union have anything to offer in the way of that?
3. Yes. However, we have one important addition. However important ethnic stability is, political concerns are still out for the territories exchanged. We propose that the territories are granted by the previous owners to only the receiving owner and its successor states. This way, we can guarantee the residents perpetual political stability, while making sure that the territories exchanged will not fall into the hands of states whose interests may compromise our futures.
4. "One island will do, all we need is a military presence. We are willing to offer a defense treaty that can ensure mutual protection, or simply a guarantee of Finnish support should Britain find itself attacked."
5. "The names Korhonen. Few need to know the rest. Finland, in our recent war, has been shown its weaknesses in national defense. We must be able to preserve the integrity of our borders in the next conflict that will inevitably roll around into this god-forsaken war. We seek a base in the Arctic, in your Svalbard reason. We are willing to offer an alliance for defense in exchange for a suitable base for our defense forces."
6. "Thank you. Water is fine," she burped. "Today, we must examine the common interests of our nationssssssss," she slurred, "we have a desire for a base in the Svalbard archipelago. You have a desire for security. In our rapid militarizations, we have... expanded our capability to project power beyond our borders..... and here," she pulls out a tablet computer, "here are the plannnsss." With that.. she collapsed into a stupor. The tablet sprung to live, and a secure videoconference session began on its screen. On it, Korhonen appeared from his manor. "What a great Finnish stateswoman, always leaving it up to the Finnish men." He paused, looking down through the tablet lenses. "she looks okay. I'll have her disciplined when she returns. Now, what do you think of our situation?"
7. Classified A private jet soared over the Baltic, entering the North Sea. As it prepared to enter British airspace, preparations were made for landings at London. Inside, the chief negotiator to the Islands, Alyx Kikkomen sipped her vodka. Today was gonna be a tough negotiating challenge, and she needed to have the blood alcohol level for some true Finnish stateswomanship. She didn't carry much with her. There was nothing to chart, nothing to discuss. Finnish goals for the discussion were simple: the Republic of Finland had a defense interest in the Arctic. To that end, a base in the islands controlled by the UK must be gained to ensure the safety of Lappland and the Finnish interior. Finland was willing to negotiate to whatever end it needed to for those islands. Getting the good price, was Alyx Kikkomen's job. As the plane touched down, she quickly [s]stumbled?[/s] descended the plane and spoke English with something that resembled a [s]drunken slur[/s] South-Finno-Swedish accent.
8. We were informed that we were eligible for a 50% discount. In any case, the appropriate amount will be forwarded by the exchequer's office.

10. Private to the UFE Has the combat effectiveness of the air units, especially the F/A 66 and the F/A 47-D been tested? Has there been previous clients for these systems? We also have enough infrastructure for 6 defense vessels.
11. Private We are willing to examine this indigenous technology "Perkunos" with great pleasure. Classified With public works projects proceeding smoothly and national morale rising due to full employment, Finland was experiencing the beginning of a consumer boom. Many people were diverted back into the private sector while infrastructure projects continued. Meanwhile, military development ensured tremendous spendings in the defense sector, but the benefits were reaped as well. Naval submarines are being launched into the Baltic Sea surrounding Finland to provide a defense network. Heavy industry has now become the focus of military development. While robotics research begins in earnest around academic centers in Finland, the ability to mass produce autonomous defense units has become vital.
12. The Korhonen Presidential manor was to be welcoming giants today, and the entire mansion was sprung to life. The Germanic envoys were greeted by the president in the foyer. "Good day, gentlemen. We both have tight schedules to keep, so lets skip the ceremonies and get straight to it. Herr Alrecht-Karlsson, what have you brought from the Germanic government?"
13. After the War Even after the Swedish invasion disappeared, hardships continued for the Finnish people. Their country, which was on poor footing before, had been ruined by war. Their proudest cities lay smoking, and the economy was severely damaged. Helsinki, a radioactive wreckage from years ago, was only beginning to be resettled before the war. Many people's homes and businesses were destroyed, and the extent of human damage was enormous. At the same time, anger persisted throughout the population. Why, it was asked, was the Finnish government so weak before foreign aggression? Why, it was asked, did foreign armies land so easily and make war on Finnish soil? Why, it was asked, that the survival of Finland was only guaranteed thanks to Slavorussian intervention? The questioned government didn't quite know how to answer the questions. So it decided to act. The state coffers were emptied into the greatest national project ever created for the Finnish people. Hundreds of billions would be poured into all factors of the economy. Everyone would be employed with this giant injection of money into the Finnish economy. Infrastructure would be revamped: new highways and roads will be constructed to facilitate greater trade - and defense capabilities. Superports will be constructed in Turku and the rebuilt Helsinki. Fallout shelters will be mandatory for every inhabited locale with a population of more than 50 people. Land will be managed to minimize environmental impact. Hospitals will be built. To boost the morale of the Finnish people, a monument to the War of National Defense will be built in Turku. It will embody the concrete will of the Finnish people- in concrete. A new defense system will constructed: a command base in the center of the nation, hidden underground in a dry location: rare for the Finnish marshes. A nuclear deterrent will be solidified: nuclear silos will be constructed covertly, and Ballistic Submarines will also be constructed to ensure that the Finnish military will have great projection capabilities. The Finnish military will focus on defense: a great research facility will be adjunct to the command base, where developments in military technology will be studied and analyzed. A system of ICBM-defeating satellites will be deployed in geostationary orbit above Finland, a defense against nuclear aggression. Meanwhile, the state welfare system will be revamped, to provide social and health services to all Finnish citizens from the cradle to the grave. By putting the Finnish people to work, and developing national defense and infrastructure, the Finnish nation shall be stronger than ever before. Open Contracts to all Foreign Military Contractors Finland is currently redeveloping the entire nation after the War of National Defense. We are interested in defense technology and systems, primarily in the fields of: Land battle armored vehicles- These vehicles should be heavily armored and defense oriented. High emphasis should be placed on survivability, as well concealment. Movement speed is less important, although mobility through the harsh Finnish terrain will be appreciated. Naval ships- We seek littoral vessels to boost the defense capability of the Finnish navy. These ships should have strong short-range offensive and defensive capabilities. Military aircraft- Military aircraft of two types are in demand- 1. We seek air superiority aircraft that will be able to secure Finnish sovereign airspace from incursion. Emphasis should be placed on air-to-air effectiveness, as well as speed for interception. 2. We also seek multi-role aircraft that are carrier capable. These aircraft will be operating in the defense role from Finnish aircraft carriers to strike enemy naval and ground targets. Air defense systems- We seek stationary emplacements, or mobile launchers that emphasize detection and first-strike-kill ability. SAM/Radar systems are both acceptable, and these should be able to be concealed in the Finnish forest.
14. OOC: Assuming that you use the actual real life exchange rate of Swedish krona, which is .1589 USD, and I use the last exchange rate of the markka, which was .2289 USD, we're looking at around ~173 billion krona. Confidential Communique of the Exchequer of the Republic of Finland We are happy that the Swedish government is willing to cooperate with us on this matter.
15. Declaration of The Republic of Finland We are overjoyed to see that Swedish forces have been removed from our territory. We are willing to conclude a peace with the Sweden upon payment of reparations for the war, valued at $120 billion Finnish Markka.
16. Finnish Declaration While we have seen improvements in our relations with the Swedish Kingdom, we will not enter negotiations for anything until all Swedish forces are removed from Finnish sovereign territory. Respecting the Swedish ceasefire, we will also halt aggressive military actions. We await your complete departure from Finland.
17. General Peace Between Finland and Torun Achieved Due to the negotiations by Aamu Berglund of Finland and Aironth Flamebringer of Torun, we have reached a general peace and cessation of hostilities between our nations.
I'm the representative from Finland. 13:39 Aironth_Flamebringer and I am the commanding General of the Grand Army of Torun, I speak for my government 13:40 Aamu wonderful. basically, here is the finnish position: we are concerned that there are foreign armies attacking our peaceful little country. 13:41 Aironth_Flamebringer you wish our troops to pull out... I assume 13:41 Aamu of course. 13:42 Aamu does Torun wish to pursue an honorable exit from this conflict? 13:43 Aironth_Flamebringer but first before we get into any concrete details let me assuredly say we if these talks break down would never use nuclear arms on your people and the thought of such a move never crossed our mind. We are an honorable nation and do not wish to be thought of as anything other then that 13:43 Aamu The Finnish Nation shall also pledge that nuclear weapons will not be used first against the people of Torun. 13:44 Aironth_Flamebringer can we take that as a binding agreement)OOC: these logs will be posted as peace talks if we do agree to peace) 13:44 Aamu Yes, we can take this as a binding agreement. 13:45 Aironth_Flamebringer (see isnt discussion fun when we arent at each others throats being mean and hurtful) 13:45 Aamu (yes) 13:45 Aamu What are Torun's aims in this talk? 13:46 Aironth_Flamebringer We wish peace in our day, but also understanding from the Finnish people that we played out our actions not out of aggression towards Finland but out of our own desperation. 13:47 Aironth_Flamebringer You see, my nation has 25 million souls within its confines and while they are currently taken care of and managed within our resource limit, we fear another population boom. 13:47 Aamu Finland proposes that we recognize an overpopulation issue in Torun. We will declare a general peace, and assist the Torunian nation with humanitarian assistance. 13:47 Aironth_Flamebringer We needed to expand our land to be able to hold our people. 13:48 Aamu We also are willing to accept large amounts of immigration from Torun. 13:48 Aamu We also offer to mediate between Torun and Sweden after cessation of hostilities for territory. 13:50 Aironth_Flamebringer That would be perfectly a good solution, provided I ask one concession(and i am making this bit up) There is the region of South Karelia in Finland that has a massive amount of polish immigration already, after the dispora with the German Federation and the Greater Nordic Empire of Dalmatia, Would finland be willing to cede this province, or even a portion of the province to Torun because... 13:50 Aironth_Flamebringer ...of the Polish numbers therein(you can of course refuse, i knwo its a bs tactic) 13:51 Aamu The Karelian Question has been in dispute between the Finnish and Russian people for as long as our nations have existed. 13:51 Aamu We do not wish for a third group to become embroiled in this long standing source of contention and conflict. 13:52 Aironth_Flamebringer Then may I propose a solution, which you could reject of course 13:52 Aamu Torunian immigrants will be welcome there, but we do not wish for a third political player in the area. 13:52 Aironth_Flamebringer (i was gonna say, you could turn it over to us and we could be a buffer between you two) 13:53 Aamu (that won't work very well since we're allies atm.) 13:54 Aironth_Flamebringer (this is weird, i want to fight because i want to have pieces of land, because i do want to grow, but i dont want to just be loltechraped by you which i wouldnt consider fair), its why i enjoyed fighting justi, he was fair and wouldnt technobable me but i was fair and wouldnt zerg rush him with troops) 14:14 *** Aironth_Flamebringer is now known as michigans_own[NoR] 14:21 Aamu We propose a General Peace Agreement. 14:22 Aamu We both shall agree to a Cessation of Hostilities and a Restoration of Diplomatic Affairs. 14:22 Aamu Finland shall, furthermore, recognize the humanitarian problem with overpopulation in Torun and maintain awareness of the issue in its Foreign Affairs dealings. 14:23 Aamu Finally, in light of the hardships and desperation of the Torunian nation, we shall waive all military and civilian reparations. 14:23 Aamu Does Torun find these statements amicable? 14:23 michigans_own[NoR] We agree 14:23 michigans_own[NoR] we agree 14:24 Aamu very well. The General Peace Agreement shall be posted immediately, and we shall consider all hostilities between Torun and Finland nonexistent. 14:24 Aamu From this point forward.
The General Peace Agreement is Outlined Below:
We propose a General Peace Agreement. We both shall agree to a Cessation of Hostilities and a Restoration of Diplomatic Affairs. Finland shall, furthermore, recognize the humanitarian problem with overpopulation in Torun and maintain awareness of the issue in its Foreign Affairs dealings. Finally, in light of the hardships and desperation of the Torunian nation, we shall waive all military and civilian reparations.
As concluded by Deputy Breglund and General Flamebringer, a General Peace Agreement has been reached between Torun and the Republic of Finland. We call upon Torun and Slavorussia to also reach a peace agreement as the cause of their conflict has now been resolved. Military hostilities remain between Sweden and Finland due to their noninvolvement in this separate peace agreement.
18. All across Finland, the airwaves were silent as radio communications were knocked out by Swedish attacks. Then, at 9 AM, all civilian airwaves, AM and FM, burst to life with classical Finnish music. Sibelius filled the air as Kalevala burst out of the radios into every single huddling Finn in their basements and bomb shelters. Then, as the great epic finished, a religious piece filled the air as the great Archbishop of Turku issued an address. "In these dire times, I, an old man, can not do much. However, we must preserve the culture and voice of our people. We must ensure the peace of our Scandinavia, our blessed homeland." As the Archbishop finished his speech, he blessed all the people of Finland for pride and courage. Then, a husky voice filled the airwaves. "This is General Hayla, leader of the Finnish Armed Forces. We have, in our history, been invaded by the Swedish many times. This time, we will again fight with our power! I call on all able reservists to report back to military barracks for briefing and deployment!" With that, the voice ended, and once again classical music resumed. //Classified Military Operations// Crack divisions of Finnish soldiers are being deployed to Turku and Helsinki to ensure the defense of the major cities. Air units are being deployed to defend Finnish airspace, mostly in the lower Finland region. Anti-Air emplacements are online to be used against enemy air units. Finnish cruise missiles are being launched from the air against Swedish naval and military units. Defense lines are being established around the coast. The Finnish navy and Air Force has officially declared a closing of Finnish waters and air space to all non-allied belligerent units. The Finnish Navy is being mobilized to attack Swedish units, as well as ensuring the defense of the Finnish Coast. //Classified// Deputy Aamu Bergland has been sent by air to Torun to discuss a Torunian exit from the war.
19. Official Finnish Declaration The Republic of Finland is appalled to find its territorial sovereignty being violated by aggressive nations bent on nothing but the destruction and elimination of the Finnish people. Finland has been experiencing a time of looking inward and rediscovery of the Finnish culture. While our internal developments happened,we have been attacked with the intent of total annihilation of the Finnish nation. Thus, all defense forces are being mobilized, and emergency nuclear protocols are being initiated to heighten defense capability. Finnish Naval forces, numbering 18 major warships are being readied for the defense of Torku. All Finnish military and paramilitary units are being organized for the defense of our nation. Finnish air units, numbering 95 squadrons of highly advanced defense fighters, are being readied to defend Finnish airspace against incursion. We hope that Swedish and Torun forces will respect the territorial integrity of our nation, for if they continue to destroy ours, they will lose their homelands as well. -Classified to Germanic Union and Russia- We ask for military and economic assistance in defending our nation against unwarranted aggression. OOC: I've been busting my soul studying and testing for a month, and this is what happens?
20. Finland is now "Finland" however, a few military bases are still Justy's. idk how to map that.
21. Finlandia
It was, as always, a cold day in Helsinki.
However, the air was warmed by the emotions of the crowds of people who had gathered in the central square. Today, was not an ordinary day in Helsinki. For on today, the 19th of April in the year of Our Lord 2011,a wise looking politician with a disastrously common name, Simo Korhonen, took to the lectern on a raised stage. He spoke with a strong yet comforting voice: People of Helsinki, people of the Finnish nation, we have weathered together through thick and thin. We have stood united from our rises to our falls, through war and through peace. Today, I ask you, all of you, to stand together with me, as we create a future that shines bright for the progeny of our nation, a future that ensures the prosperity and independence of Finland! The thousands of people in the square became moved by his voice, by his thunder. They were mesmerized by his aura. News crews were broadcasting throughout the country, and as the word spread across ears, across social media, across phone lines, more and more people tuned in to this little man. Finland, in the large picture of things, is a small nation. Giant nations in Asia and South America are behemoths compared to our Finland, but that should only strengthen our resolve. For we must understand that the future of each and every individual Finn hinges on the future of our Finland. Through unity, we will gain strength! As the people stopped and took in his powerful ideals, they became entranced in his voice. They believed in him, they trusted in him. And that is why, we must today, declare our Finland to once again be a sovereign nation, for our government to be free from involuntary bondage with another, for our people to have the right to CHOOSE OUR OWN LIVES! And with that, across all sides of the square, unseen demonstrators unfurled gigantic banners across the building fronts. They all had the same symbol: the blue cross so famously associated with the Finnish nation. As the crowd cheered on, the television cameras on television went to another location, the Cathedral of Turku, the spiritual center of the Finnish people. There, the aged archbishop, religious leader of the Finnish nation, walked out of the door, and said a word to the cameras:
"God Bless Korhonen. God Bless Finland."
//Classified As the Finnish nation began its rebirth onto the world, a convoy of vehicles marked with the Finnish blue cross were already headed towards the Russian border at Vyborg. Inside, sat chief negotiator of the Finnish Democratic Nationalist Movement, Liisa Laine. She held documents that contained the following to the Russians.
Greetings, Mighty Rus: For many centuries our nations have been tied together, in both alliances and in conflicts. We recognize the interests of the Russian nation, specifically in several military bases. We propose that the Russian nation retain these military bases indefinitely, as well as the leader of the Russian nation having the ceremonial title of the Grand Duke of Finland, while Russian nation returns our favors with treaties of mutual economic and military support, such as arms transfer and economic trade treaties. The leaders of the FDNM certainly do not wish to conflict with the Mighty Rus, but we compel your honors to consider our proposal well.
