That would have been nice if you had since we are supposed to be allied to TPF, as are Aztec. Just for the record I did check who was allied to who before we started and Aztec joined in after NR and assorted others joined.

I think you are overestimating your importance. Reality says, what TPF and RE want, TPF and RE get. Who exactly would they NEED backup against? I am not commenting on the rights or wrongs, not the likelyhood, just stating fact.

I think you guys are missing the point. Even if this is a defensive block. It takes a rather large chunk out of people you will fight with. Let me see will I take on this 800 nation block or not? Don't think so. Are you saying, effectively, than 800 nations are out of bounds but its ok for them to attack. What happens when somebody fights back and starts winning? Its up to you, of course, but my opinion FWIW, is that you have just taken a massive step towards turning TE into SE. If the point of the game is to play then you need some opposition. For many people this makes the game less attractive. (See current poll). It would be interesting to see the trend around active members over the next couple of rounds.

No, that is why they were issued to individuals in Anarchy not to the alliance. They said, your nation is knackered, its a game if you want to opt out of the war you can by declaring your PoW status for 7 days. While in that state, Aztec will protect you from all comers, ie you are safe to rebuild. There wasn't even a restriction on what the nation did in seven days, rejoin NL was perfectly acceptable. You don't get softer surrender terms than that. In truth, I can't see how you managed to read anything else into even the bit that you quoted other than the stuff Mayzie and bunnet have said. While in this state you will be protected by Aztec Protected from who? Answer 'all comers', which I guess meant even WAPA.
