  1. nuke.gif Your nation was attacked with a nuclear weapon on 11/27/2015 11:17:56 AM. This will have a devastating effect on your population happiness and economy until 12/1/2015.

warning.png Your nation's defenses were considerably depleted on 11/30/2015. As a result of your recent lack of defending security forces riots have sparked up within your nation and have thrown your government into Anarchy. The riots are expected to last until 12/3/2015 regardless of any action that you attempt to take. You will not be able to change your government until these riots end.

The last nuke I ate was on the 27th, meaning I should be able to switch out of anarchy today (11/30). My government was spied on the 28th, however I collected today prior to attempting to switch out of anarchy, so that shouldn't be the issue.

    Subject: Spy Operation Attack

Message: A spy operation has been launched against your nation. In the attack the enemy spies targeted your population and managed to incite new government propaganda. In the attack your counter spies managed to kill 20 enemy spies and your attackers identity has been publicly revealed.

You have already collected taxes today. You may only collect taxes once a day.

The daily update occurs at 12:00 AM server time.
The current server date and time is 11/30/2015 12:14:51 AM.

I also have yet to be hit with any defeat alerts the past couple days, so I'm really not sure what the problem is.

  2. I have had it where a spy op before update hasn't appeared in my inbox until after update. Could just be a delay.

Normally I'd agree, but he was nuked shortly after update on the 15th, so it wouldn't have been a before and after update defeat alert.

I know sometimes when I'm on my phone doing attacks it submits things twice. It's never happened for a nuke attack/defeat alert, but it's happened when I attempted to send a 2nd air attack and it says I've already sent 2. I check my outbox and sure enough there are 2 AA messages.
  3. Don't you remember the last mega rich rogue to declare war on NpO, I recall him having a lot more than that warchest... He is no more...

Can't remember his name, I just remembered that he made a big song and dance about the eternal war with Polar on the forums... Was a few years ago, I think his avatar was a picture of a broken washing machine? Someone from Polar might remember.

Viluin.... the guy who started saying that he was going to be a nightmare for Polaris and finished asking for mercy from us.
He was bigger than these Kiwis, who right now believe they are a big deal for Polaris.

If Viluin was the biggest you dealt with to date, then you're wrong in saying that you've dealt with bigger and better funded rogue entities. He states here that he had in the neighborhood of 6 bil, which means LPS has roughly +38% more cash than Viluin. Judging by the nations he fought, LPS and Wes may both be bigger in NS than Viluin was, and as Wes stated, there's 2 of them.

That being said, there's no doubt in my mind that Polar possesses the resolve to keep combating this threat. They did it when BF1 hit Polar. I'm sure it's much more likely that LPS and Wes will get bored with perpetual war and eventually just let their nations sink into the abyss. But Viluin states in the above linked thread that he had nothing personal against Polar, whereas LPS and Wes have stated that it is personal. I think that will play a role in how long it is before they decide to move on. I also would give them the benefit of the doubt as they've been dealing with coffeeshock for at least a year now. They have experience dealing in this type of warfare - they know firsthand the type of damage a rogue of this nature can do, so who really knows how long it'll take before logging in for a few minutes every day to send a nuke to Polar's new recruits has lost it's appeal.

My old friend! It's wonderful to see you! I don't play TE anymore, but I still hang around on IRC sometimes. My nick is Samwise.

I'll PM you my contact info on these forums, Mordor. ;)

  5. Thank you everyone for the well wishes. VE is good people, and have done right by us for many years, and have now opened their home to us. We really couldn't ask for better friends.

If only based on the people representing here, this looks like some good stuff to me.

Glad you guys played the way you wanted, and are willing to make a final decision.

Hope you make VE your home, and continue to enjoy your time here.

I always have a difficult time saying congratulations on a merger, as I know that it is never an easy decision.  Good luck in your new home.  I've always like VE, so I see no immediate problems with this move.  Enjoy your new home.

These quotes pretty much sum up my feelings as we made this decision. It was definitely bittersweet in that we retire the GOP, but our story continues, and we are excited for what the future holds. :)

As a side note, I'd like to say that in our attempts to message our folks and notify them of the proper steps to make the move to VE, we mistakenly messaged some who were not former GOP members, but rather those that registered on our boards for diplomatic purposes. Please disregard the message, and I apologize for the spam. Unless of course you'd like step-by-step instructions on how to apply to VE.

  6. .:The Green Old Party merges into the Viridian Entente:.

    GOPOWFBanner.png

About 6.5 years ago, the GOP set out to to create a unique community. In that time, we explored ideas around "soft neutrality" and conservatism. These many years have treated us well, and we feel we have accomplished all that we set out to - and all that we could hope to at this stage.

Love us or hate us, we "played the game" exactly the way WE wanted to... for the better part of a decade. We made some great friendships, and we had a blast.

But our experiment has run its course and the flag of the GOP will now be folded up, and our membership will fold into the ranks of the Viridian Entente - the one alliance who both respected and supported our right to exist how we saw fit.

Our thanks to the hundreds of people who joined the GOP's ranks at some point, and the hundreds more who've supported us over the years. Our forums will remain open so that our conservative membership will still have a place to discuss politics and the like but our members will begin the AA transition to VE immediately.

  7. My apologies to both Howling Mad and Samwise as it seems I was in err with my above statement.

I recognized the names and did not even bother to check that they were no longer War Doves since they had been for so many rounds.

    My mistake and my bad.

    Please forgive my assumption.

It's no problem. :) I did check, and despite War Doves keeping terrible records since I left, I was still able to find that the last round they applied War Doves was 33.

  8. I am sick for a few weeks and come back to too many threads full of E-peen measuring and baseless accusations. Before I make the decision to avoid all this rubbish from now on I would like to address this quote.

I think you'll find that even though those nations were in War Doves last round and rounds previous to that, this round they were in Alpha Wolves before joining Defcon 1 and have had no communication with myself or other War Doves government. A simple check of their war screens shows that they were in Alpha Wolves and never in War Doves. Their team colour being white and not green also kind of leans to that too. So to answer your question we didn't feel the need to go there and there is nothing for you to get. Sorry to point out that you were wrong.
    Oh well.......carry on.

Can confirm. Czar and malarkian left WD to create their own alliance this round, Alpha Wolves. We haven't seen nor heard from them since.

EDIT: On second thought, I'm not even sure Czar and Malarkian were in WD last round. They might have made the move to D1 last round, which would make sense as to why they're helping D1 now. I'll do some digging and get back to you.
  9. B-)

It seems that Tjack left IREC not much ago and went to W.Doves...  Which i consider it a bad taste fault, but hardy a cause for

attacking him...   So that's why Sam says  IREC made an Up declare on her chicks, too...

I decifered what I could from both sides of the story, and tried to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. From what I know, TJack75 was helping IREC while he was there, building trades circles. TDO raided TJack75 while on the IREC AA, and he retalliated against TDO. Ultimately, TJack75 was kicked from IREC, and applied to War Doves. Pigeons flock together, as you well know. Or is that ducks?

Anywho, since then, TJack75 and Stevepick have been going through a lovers quarrel. You know how that goes.

I tried to be reasonable, and divide the shared assets. Stevepick gets to keep the home they shared, the kids, their '72 Pinto, and TJ's beloved pooch. TJ gets to come stay at his messy brother's house, who eats all TJ's food and wears TJ's clothes because let's face it, we're just too lazy to do our own laundry here at War Doves. I was hoping that both parties could move on, and learn to love again... but it seems IREC's not yet ready.

As for me, I'm rather enjoying drinking TJ's beer. So it's a win-win for me. \o/

Stevepick... It looks like you'll need to buy them birds some food grain to apeace'em... (they are famous for pooping with accuracy

    on any one here ...! ) :P :lol1: :frantic:

     overfed-pigeon.gif

This is cause for attacking him http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?/topic/126620-the-dark-order-dow/page-11

    3rd from last post

"IREC will make great Raid targets next round, Heck they make great targets now for those looking."

You can't really fault the man for telling the truth. A few alliances have been raiding IREC. There'd be more, but you're not in very many people's range. After people get out of their wars and need blockade dumps before they rebuild I imagine that'll change.

Also, TJack75 never initiated an offensive act of war against IREC. Since the day he left, it's IREC that's been the aggressor.

  10. Think I know who probably sent it :|. I'll take care of that.  Would kind of like if you could PM me the message, but it's not necessary. I will also take care of the spy attack. It did no harm anyhow.

and he's not the VP. He's just stepping in until the spot is filled. We have a line of succession

That's funny right there. Hesitant to tell members not to attack or spy TJack after his post in The TDO DoE and him trying to mess up alliance TC's by messaging members and telling them to change to different resources http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?/topic/126620-the-dark-order-dow/page-11#entry3384563

If you're interested, I think it was Danger Mouse who received the message.

And if you want blood, that's certainly your choice to make. Either course of action is fine, and regardless, I will speak to TJ about him sabotaging trade circles. My advice to you is to have all your members block him from private messaging in-game to prevent future headaches.
